It’s super cool to see all these trails in my home town I ride my dualsport dirt bike at the GR bike park and just bought a mtn bike so I’m super excited to hit all these trails! It would be cool to see you guys out there sometime! RIDE SAFE! thanks for the content it’s great!
Are you silly? I'm still gonna send it! Great video on some local turf. You should swing up to the north side of GR and hit Wahlfield park. It has 3 flow/jump sections. You could also hit Merrill in Rockford. I know you guys love the features.
Just bought my first mountain bike today. It should be in on August 2nd. Love watching your videos I started last year when you where at North park in Pittsburgh. Can’t wait to start hitting the trails.
@@nsmerilli1 Good choice. That was the same bike I was looking to get when I first started riding in 2017. Have fun on your mtb adventures. Stay safe. 😁👍
Great looking park. Nice featuring it. Sorry about the wreck so long as you're not banged up too bad. The new stuff at Stoney is fun. Ive only been out once this year but I like the upgrades.
I have never heard of this trail until watching this video, I’ve always thought Michigan was pretty void of Any good trails until I started watching your videos
Haha. Same here. Before I started making these vids, there really wasn't a lot of info out there. I would have never found some of these trails if it wasn't for the channel and some of the recommendations we get.
@@dukeofmtb and I’m very thankful you are sharing it with the public so they can come visit the trails here and experience the cool things we have here in Michigan
She rides super smooth, confident, doesn’t try to over power things. I knew your wife would easily ride the last obstacle but I was worried for you... but in the end you made it look easy. Nice job
Didn’t know about the changes at the park looks awesome. Glade to see the mtb trails growing in Michigan. The dump in Marshall is the closest to me it’s a fun tight trail
You should check out the new Stony Creek trails on our side of the state. Tons of new stuff these days. Michigan's mtb scene is definitely progressing.
I pole vault for the school track team and I was told pretty specifically not to get hurt and I asked the coach if mtb counted as to risky and she says yes and we have the biggest meet of my life in friday but it’s also the last for the season so you know dang well i’m riding the saturday after
Hey Isaac have you rode merrel trail? I know it’s directional, any idea which way is better? I’ll be going to Grand Rapids soon and will be checking out this trail now thanks to the duke.
@@arctic6014 Hey! Yes I have, it’s one of my favorites. I HIGHLY recommend you go on either a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday-that direction is far superior in my opinion.
@mtbGirlCory Crushes. Dang! So impressive. I'm with you though, that intermediate I beam at GRBP was extra scary. One day I'm hoping to be brave enough to hit that big drop :/. Great video.
Your anxiety was palpable. Glad you fought through it. I'm no fan of skinnies myself. Happy to see you on my side of the state. Why not go to Merrell or Egypt Valley? I know you have already been to Cannonsburg.
@@dukeofmtb Excellent. Hope you liked it. My favorite trail in West Michigan is called Upper Macatawa. it's about 25 minutes southwest of GR. Keep up the great work.
yo i know im late to this but i late to this but i literally live like 10 minutes away from this great to see people taking advantage of the green trails try keno sha too its awseome
I'm sorry you took a spill, but your anxiety on cam is giving me hope. I have more bruises on my body currently from straight riding off a bridge on trail last week. Crashing is part of it, right!
😂 That would be Cory convincing you to hit a drop, but with it ending successfully while Cory and I cheer. You'd still probably get a heart attack from all the excitement though. 🤣
10:23 I wish you would stop condescendingly mansplaining to her "what 'we' are going to do today." She clearly loves you and puts up with it, but her having to correct you and remind you that she is the one with agency in the equation and that SHE will do it really reinforced the point. She's not a child, so stop treating her like one. Let her make her own decisions and do her own jumps. She already blew you away at 6:01 when you were trying to bully her into not doing it so just let her be. At 5:49 you say "that's a no." This is language that a parent uses with a child. And at 5:52 your "What!?" (as in "You're going to go against my authority in determining which jumps are okay and which aren't!? I am the boss of the forest!!") demonstrates how little respect you have for her. You're not her parent. You ride your lines and let her ride hers. But stop with the constant cringy AF mansplaining/"benevolent" paternalism and just let the girl ride! Start acting like her hype man and not the overconcerned dad of a toddler.
You're way off here. The "this is what we're gonna do" thing is for the audience, not her. There is no telling Cory what to do. It's always her decision. I'm not "bullying" her. I'm simply telling her it's not the best idea while also conveying to the audience how sketchy something is. Any "mansplaining" in the vid is almost always for the audience. It's hardly ever actually directed at her, even though it might seem like it. You're just reading too much into my choice of words. Authority? You clearly don't know us. The only reason we rode and recorded at Underground and GR Bike Park that day was because she wanted to. I didn't want to go that day but I'm smart enough to know not to argue with my wife. Again, you are seeing and reading into things that aren't there. You don't know us. You don't know our relationship dynamic. If you knew us, you'd know how far off you are. We didn't get to being together for 14 years by being assh*les to each other.
youre the one being disrespectful. I'm not a helpless baby that needs saving. 🤬 also, he doesn't talk like that in real life. It's just for the audience 🙄
