So… Lately I’m quite fixated on making manips for either fancasts or telling original stories. And this also applies to this. And I just really wanted to edit a full video with a story of mine. I haven’t even planned to post it because I first wanted to answer several longer comments next time on YT but something happened today and I needed a distraction. Hope you can understand it. :)
Also, since this is an edit for something original, I will make the comments needed to be checked out first (spam problems, again) and, like I wrote under the last edit of this kind, I am so anxious when it comes to edits like this. So please don’t wonder if your comment is not visible right away.
I can’t say more in the inbox about the story than my short summary from before: That the next monarch in this fictional world without the human species will only be chosen by the Rain Goddess and with this, the drouth will end. But now a riddle was given that needs to be solved and so the siblings of the Thorn Branch can no longer rely on getting out of their aunt’s abuse by waiting and now have to act. To ensure that her brother will sit on the throne, our heroine strikes a deal with the Divinity of Death, the Grim Reaper, to gain an advantage in exchange of becoming the High Priestess.
I don’t go farther into detail because the story is A LOT. But this would be the general information to get this edit. The emergence of the story itself is also something huge. Because the first idea was definitely set in my head while reading the German arty fairy tale “Die Regentrude” and then I mixed in the polytheistic system of religion from the Greek mythology to include the Divines for the magical topics and then, adding more characters and several beings, this flared into this.

I actually watched this now for the second time, because when I watched for the first I was ill (I actually still am, but a bit better now) and was too tired to write a comment, but now I will try my best to write a comment that you deserve for this piece of art! It truly is really beautifully edited, the story is wonderfully told. I already adored this story when you edited Krylia for the first time, then when you edited her with the Grim Reaper in your multi-oc video, and now I just can not stand the thought, that I won't be able to read it. Damn! xD Really, I'm so invested and I so wish to actually read this, that I just... can't. I simply can't with the lack of possibilty for me to read that story.
The manips, the voice-overs... The actors... Everything is so on point! The only bothering thing for me is that I don't know a lot of actors in that video, so I couldn't tell which character is who, except from the ones, I already knew, and it was quite confusing, BUT! of course it is not your fault, it is my lack of knowledge of actors. Truly, if i'm being honest, I barely know any actors. xD That is what makes it so hard for me to make my own oc videos. I made a few, but I never find the actors truly fitting for the roles, I really should watch more shows and movies. xD And also read more, because I know you do read a lot, too. But can I ask you, how do you have time for school (are you still in school or you work now?), shows/movies, books, writing and editing and even life? I don't have a life, like for real, I don't, but I can't really find time to watch things and read things. I either just spend all my time with writing or editing. (Okay, I go to a school now, but it is just twice a week, it's an evening school, idk how to say it, but it doesn't take as much time.) Anyway, basically I don't do anything besides editing and writing. xD (Oh yeah, and watching other fanvideos. xD) I see all the times that people with less time than me, do a lot more things, but I never understood it. xD
Anyway, the story seems more and more captivating with each video you make. I truly wish to know this story. Maybe I will ask my friend, who is Hungarian, but lives in Germany and talks German perfectly to teach me. xD I mean, I learned German for 12 years, but I don't remember much, I'm so sorry. On the other hand, I didn't have to use this language for also 12 years since I've learned it, so it's quite understandable why I have forgotten so much. But when our friend from Germany was visting us, and he took a German book with him, I could translate what was on the back of the book with his help. But he said he was proud of me concerning that I said I don't speak German. But I can't even read English stories, even though I know English much better.
You know what? xD After you finished the story, sell it to Netflix, and then a wonderful show can be made out of it! ;) Anyways, this video is perfect! As always! You're so so talented! I always adore and admire your work! I was so happy, when I saw you upload! And I will watch it again and again and again...
I have done this before with many of your videos. I love to re-watch them! So, once again, you created a master-piece and I'm happy, that I could be here to see it! :)

If I ever finish writing the first part (because the last years were a bit difficult with the pandemic and I still have some personal stuff to handle), I definitely thought of translating it in English at some point myself. Maybe that could help? 😆But, jokes aside, I'm so thrilled to read that you got invested thanks to the edits! The vids don't show that much of the story but I am glad that what I tried to work with has that effect. So thanks for telling! This is really encouraging! 🤩
I also don't always know all actors if someone else does an edit or it is a collab with many editors using A LOT different shows and movies. I'm also often surprised to see new faces or make a list on what to watch next. So don't worry. I think that is normal. But I hope you can find actors for your ocs soon! I'd be very curious to see you editing with them. (Of course I know I have watched several of your original story edits now, but I'm always looking forward to your future projects.) 🥰
Actually I didn't have that much time this year - therefore also the lack of edits. I was writing my master thesis the last few months and I actually feel like I didn't achieve much in terms of editing for YT. And, to be fair, I am/was (currently only one seminar paper left to write as soon as I recover a bit from the last) studying literature, so I HAD to read a lot and I just like to inform myself on various topics and themes (I swear I read stuff by Goethe and Shakespeare for fun when I was a teen because I was just that strange), so I know what I like and what not and so I pick my books and shows according to that. Really, my "villain-f*ckery" is not that deep. 😅 I can only speak for myself but I often save scenes right away when I watch movies/shows nowadays and I often watch stuff were actors are in I already like and often I discover new actors and everything. 🤭 Maybe I can suggest something if you search a fancast for something? Or if you need specific scenes? I can't promise that I know something that fits but maybe I could help some way. 🙂
According to others, I heard that German IS a difficult language. So it's really impressing you could still translate something after so many years. And it's interesting to read a friend of yours knows German. 🤩But I had the same problem as well. I just mentioned my master thesis - I was working with French texts for my topic and so I was the half time like "WHY? Why did I decide on that? I barely passed the language exam for it in the bachelor WHAT WAS I THINKING???" while working with a translator all the time. So, I feel your pain. 🤣
I wouldn't know if I wanted to sell any rights to Netflix, to be honest. At the moment, they are too woke for me. I wait until THAT time passes. In case I won't get cancelled for this remark alone. 😂

In fact, I had remembered that you suggested for me to make a longer edit with one of the stories in the multi-ocs video and I guess that was when I started this edit. In fact, I had started it almost a year ago but I needed to arrange everything and get new scenes and had other stuff to do and so it took a bit longer. If you'd translate the story to English, yeah, that would probably help, but I never really read in English either, because there I always find words, that I don't know. I always think, "Oh, wow, my English is now perfect, it can't be any better" and yet, I always find myself lost, whenever I try to read a story. I don't know, if you remember, but once I said to you, that I once reading a fanfiction I was in the middle of a sex scene without knowing I was even reading a sex scene. 🤣 But it was a long time ago, so maybe I would not be that stupid now to not recognize a make out scene. Lol But I still hope, you will translate it to English, because then I'll still have some hopes to understand the story. 😆

Oh, good luck for your last paper that you still have to write! And yeah, I know, you don't have much time, I was saying, that people who have much less time than me, do a lot more with their time. But anyways, it's okay, if you don't upload that much, what matters after all the quality of the posted videos, and it is always perfection with yours!!! 🥰 Like I only have more videos, because I have much more time, but lately I might lsot every footage again. Yeah, honestly same. About Netflix. I feel the same way, I was kind of joking with that part. But on the other hand, I always thought how fun it could be to see my own books in a show. It is my dream. Lol Like editing my book for real? What could be any better? 🤣 Anyways, just seeing my stories, my characters on screen, it really is a big dream for me. And I thought of Netflix, because that is one of the most popular streaming service, but I totally agree about them being too woke.
Oh, and really? You started this video, when I mentioned that it'd be good, if you would make more edits of your stories??? It's... Wow! Also, I can believe that it took as much time, to find the perfect scenes, and dialogues, actors for every characters... It must be a big work. I, once tried to edit a whole book of mine, but it turned out catastrophic. 🤣😅 It was a LONG time ago, and I don't even wanna write that book anymore. I saved parts of it for different stories, that I will write in better ways, than I did before, but the whole story won't be existing like I was having the idea a long-long-long time ago. And I even finsihed the book a couple of times. It was my longest book, but I kind of hate it. 🤣😅 This was the vampire story, I talked to you about in personal message a LOOONG time ago. Maybe you remember. But nothing will be the same.

I know what you mean. As much as I like to call myself fluent in English, sometimes I just don't know certain words or am unsure if the used term is truly right. Though, I'm also in a state of horror at the thought of translating it myself because of several things. Like there is a group of characters - the Nekren - and I gave them the trait to only be able to speak in rhymes where the lines belonging together also keep the same number of syllables which already makes it tricky to write in my own language. I probably go mad the second I try to translate that in a form that will also keep their way of speaking and, to make it worse, they are characters to appear through the whole story. 🤣 But I also remember back when you tell me that story. I think it is normal because you said you weren't speaking English that good back then. Because, for real, how could you know what kind of scene it was if you don't know the words. Accidents happen. 🤣
I'm glad you think it was cool. My surroundings actually always gave me the impression that also being a nerd in literature was just bad. But I was just always so invested in any kind of stories that I couldn't help myself. 🤣

I had planned this edit a while longer but your reply back then definitely gave the right kick my inspiration needed. So thanks for that. Actually, I already had many scenes, so there wasn't that much to cut. But I do plan to get more of Walker's and Claflin's scenes in the future because I had only certain of their movies/shows and I had really wanted to edit more with them. But I am glad everything worked out on this video.🙂
I think I remember a vampire story of yours you told me about in the personal messages. You said the edit turned out not so well - did you post it here? I'm pretty sure you edited with a vampire story of yours some time ago but I'm not certain if it is the one you mean right now and I just wanna be sure (in case it IS the edit I've seen - the edit was anything but bad!!!). Anyway, I also understand what you mean about saving certain parts of your past book for other things. Sometimes I also just get ideas of conversations and then I think of how I could try to merge it into my stories. 😆

But they do attack each other through words and slight actions while not-so-casually discussing their world views. 🤣 I'm glad you think so. But I swear the story is actually nothing but a "write what I want with tropes I want with bad and dark humor and the question what can I do to make those characters dear to me suffer". 🤣 And please take your time! Die Geschichte fertig zu Papier zu bringen, kann noch etwas dauern. Aber es ist einfach für mich persönlich so gut zu sehen, was ich mit den Szenen editieren kann. Es fühlt sich dann einfach so an, als hätte ich die Story ein wenig zum Leben erweckt. 😄
Und bitte mach dir keine Sorgen über den späten Kommentar! Ich weiß, dass das Leben manchmal sehr hektisch sein kann und dann braucht man auch einfach Zeit, Ruhe und Energie. Allein das Wissen, dass es dir gefällt, macht mich glücklich. 😊💜
Ich habe die Lieder von Delain schon länger für ein Video verwenden wollen. Die Band ist nicht so bekannt (oder ihre Lieder in Edits verwendet) wie Nightwish oder Within Temptation, aber die früheren Alben (besonders das Album "April Rain") waren für mich immer meine Eskapismusmusik, wenn ich als Teenager mal Ruhe brauchte oder meine Gedanken sammeln musste. Deswegen habe ich so eine persönliche Bindung zu der Band. Ich würde dir aber AUF JEDEN FALL empfehlen, dir ihr neues Lied "Moth To A Flame" anzuhören. Es ist einfach genial. Und "Queen Of Shadow" basiert laut der Trivia auf einen Charakter von "Crooked Kingdom". Ich bin fast vor Freude ausgeflippt, als ich das gelesen habe. 😱
Es ist so schön zu lesen, dass du den Anfang mit dem Ball mochtest! Ich verwende Bälle immer so gerne und daher habe ich es einfach mal in die Ästhetik mit einbezogen. Eigentlich wollte ich zuerst das Lied "Alvedansen" von Christine Guldbransen verwenden, aber das eignet sich wohl eher zu einem Beziehungsvideo, als für die ganze Geschichte. Doch von Lyrik und Rhythmus/Stil hätte es am Besten gepasst. 🎶🎵
Was das Gefährlichsein betrifft, versuche ich auch immer zu vermitteln, dass ihre Tante sich zwar als Überlegene fühlt, aber genau weiß, dass sie ihre Nichte nicht unterschätzen sollte, weil Krylia einfach durch die jahrelangen mentalen und physischen Misshandlungen eine so derbe "I don't give a f*ck"-Haltung zu Drohungen ihrerseits entwickelt hat, dass die Tante das Verhalten ihrer Nichte nicht immer einschätzen kann. 🧐
Ich LIEBE foreshadowing auch dermaßen! Ob nun in Reden oder Symbolen, es macht auch einfach nur einen Riesenspaß dies einzubringen. Oder die Bedeutung so zu verdrehen, dass sich das Ergebnis komplett ändert. 🤫
Für den Fancast der Tante muss ich meiner Mutter danken. Als wir damals "Rome" gesehen haben, meinte sie so nebenbei, dass sie sich Pseudje genau so vorstellte. Wenn ich mal Zeit habe, die restlichen Szenen aus der Serie mit der Schauspielerin zu schneiden, würde ich irgendwann auch mal ein "Krylia vs Pseudje" Video machen. Kürzlich bin ich so über den Song "Hate Me" von P!nk gestolpert und ich finde den einfach so perfekt aus Krylias Sicht. Ist zwar eher etwas Modernes, aber es passt einfach so gut. 😉 Aber, ja, Pseudje nutzt wirklich viel Manipulation und Gaslighting, um ihre Pläne zu verwirklichen. Da Krylia ohne Flügel geboren wurde, ist sie mit ihrer "Unvollkommenheit" auch leider ein leichtes Ziel und das weiß Pseudje. 😔
Das Zitat ist aus dem Film "Snow White - Tale Of Terror". Es ist eher eine Horrorversion des Märchens, aber sehr empfehlenswert und schön gemacht. Ich habe auch viele Szenen aus dem Film hier verwendet. Freut mich zu lesen, dass es gut ankommt. 😁
Haha, das mit dem Trinken gehört einfach zu Krylias Charakter. Neben dummen Witzen und der physischen Schwäche habe ich sie wohl schon ein wenig als Trinker geschrieben. Immerhin leidet sie unter Trauma und konnte vorher ihrem Leben nicht entkommen. Ist keine Vorzeigesache für einen Hauptcharakter, aber was wollte sie schon mehr tun. Außerdem bringt es so herrliche Sticheleien hervor und ich habe auch eine Idee, wie es noch der Handlung dienen kann. 🤭
Und, jaaaa, Fero und Hoffnung spielen auch imner eine große Rolle. Er hat auch viel gelitten. Vielleicht nicht so sehr wie seine Schwester, aber er hat auch eine Entwicklung vor sich. Und er kriegt auch einen göttlichen Schutzpatron - daher der Vogel (eine Eule), weil ich dies gerne in Verbindung mit den verschiedenen Divinitäten setze. Foreshadowing, wie schon erwähnt. 🤣
Ich bin so froh, dass das "Verloren" gut ankommt! Sonst schreibe ich das Gesagte immer unten hin, aber irgendwie fühlte es sich richtig an, den Text so zu setzen. Schön, dass du es bemerkt hast! 😃
Die Raben sind auch super wichtig in Bezug auf Krylias Beziehung zum Grim Reaper. Wenn die Vögel sie nicht gemocht hätten, wäre sie hochkant aus der Unterwelt geworfen worden. 🤡
Dass beide Töchter für den Fancast rote Haare hatten, war auch wirklich Glück. Beide Schauspielerinnen sind in dem Film "Ophelia" (2018) und die Dynamik und Haltung der einzelnen Schwestern passte so gut, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe - ich musste die Szenen einfach verwenden. Besonders, da ich auch mal mit Genyas Schauspielerin so editieren konnte. Die Szene aus "Shadow & Bone" einzubringen hat mir so eine tierische Freude bereitet (und es passt auch, wenn man bedenkt, was noch mit Genyas Auge passiert und was mit dem Charakter der älteren Schwester noch geschehen wird 🤣). Aber Daisy Ridley's Charakter ist mir auch sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Obwohl Krylia, Fero und der Grim Reaper sozusagen "meine Babys" sind, weil ich sie zuerst erdacht habe, macht Gemma wohl die größte und interessanteste Entwicklung durch. Und das rote Haar spielt auch eine kleine Rolle. Irgendwann, wo Krylia etwas böser wird, lasse ich andere auch mal denken, dass der Goldton ihrer Haare abnimmt und sie leicht rötlich erscheinen. Das rechtfertigt auch gleich, dass sich Krylias Haarfarbe in dem Edit ständig ändert. 😅
Die Tension versuche ich auch wirklich immer einzubeziehen und die beiden sich streiten zu lassen, wie ein altes Ehepaar. Es ist dann auch sehr hilfreich, dass Krylia sich nicht vor ihm fürchtet (als Divinität des Todes hat er halt auch mit Vorurteilen zu kämpfen). Aber die Neckereien zwischen ihnen - und den geteilten Humor - schreibe ich auch immer so gerne. Obwohl er auch ein paar fiese Sachen loslässt. Aber ich glaube, ich habe bisher so einen persönlichen Hang zu einer Szene, wo er eine sarkastische Bemerkung in der Gegenwart eines Verstorbenen macht und sein Gegenüber versteht den Witz nicht und schreit/weint aus Angst nur rum. Und in seinem Kopf kommt der Gedanke "wäre sie hier, Krylia hätte gelacht 😮‍💨".
Krylia lässt auch ein paar fiese Sachen los, da sie es schließlich kann. Deswegen auch das "Und ich mag es". Kurz gesagt: Sie findet später (vielleicht im zweiten Teil, weil beim momentanen Stand meine Zeichen den Rahmen bereits sprengen 😂) etwas in Bezug auf ihre fehlenden Flügel heraus und ihrem Bruder passiert auch was sehr Unschönes, weshalb sie dann zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt ein wenig austickt und moralisch ihren absoluten Tiefpunkt erreicht. 🤯
Es ist auch immer wieder schön, wenn ihre Tante mal einstecken muss. 😆
Ich finde auch immer, dass es in Geschichten eine Art Gleichgewicht für das Universum geben muss. Gaben können durch bestimmte Taten erlangt werden, aber sich zu viel herauszunehmen und dann keine Konsequenzen erwarten, ist einfach unbedacht. (Obwohl ich noch nicht sicher bin, an wen genau die Worte letztendlich gehen sollen. Das könnte sich noch ändern.)
Jaaa, das Geständnis, dass sie etwas weiß, ist auch einfach gut, um eine Vergewisserung zu haben. Ehrlich gesagt mache ich es bereits im Prolog ziemlich offensichtlich, dass die Tante den Vater umbrachte, weil ich finde, dass sich so ein greifbares Geheimnis nicht lohnt in die Länge gezogen zu werden und mache deswegen lieber ein paar andere Plottwists rein, während sie diesen Tatbestand eben beweisen wollen. 🙃

Danke für das Verständnis. Ich war mit Bucheditieren ganz beschäftigt, aber ich bin jetzt mit dieser Arbeit fertig. Ich habe im Moment eine bessere Möglichkeit, in der Bibliothek als PR und Bibliothekarin in der Fremdsprachen Abteilung zu arbeiten! Ich beginne auf Montag und dieser Beruf wird mir ganz mehr freie Zeit überlassen, trotzdem es hört so zu, als ob ich mehr beschäftigt sein würde, aber es ist umgekehrt. Ich erinnere mich daran, dass dir eine Position als Bibliothekarin ganz gut gefällt; ich werde dir sagen, wie es ist, wenn ich beginne! 🤗😄 Obwohl ich in Bulgarien bin, und du bist in Deutschland, ich glaube, dass die Arbeit nicht super verschieden ist.
Manchmal ist es überraschend wie viele allgemeine Interessen wir haben. Wenn ich im Gymnasium war, erfand ich Delain mit dem Lied "Frozen" und ich liebte auch "Shattered", "April Rain" und "Control the Storm". Jetzt, liebe ich auch "Danse Macabre" dank deines atemberaubenden Videos und ich werde unbedingt die Lieder, die du mir empfohlen hast, zuhören! Es ist ganz cool, dass "Queen of Shadows" einem Charakter von "Crooked Kingdom" gewidmet ist! Vielleicht Inej oder Dunyasha? Ich habe das Lied gehört und es ist toll! Ich glaube daran, dass der Text vielleicht wirklich Dunyasha gewidmet ist, aber es ist Möglich, dass ich kein Recht habe. Hmm...
Ich liebe Ballszenen auch ganz viel! Sie sind immer super intensiv und ich meine, dass sie oft perfekt für Foreshadowing und Mysterien sind. Es gibt ein Quest in Dragon Age Inquisition Namens "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts", das super interessant ist und man ist auf von der Imperatorin von Orlais organisiertes Party, und ihr Leben ist in Gefahr. Ich meine, wenn du das Spiele ausprobierst, wirst du diese Mission lieben! Ich soll jetzt auch "Alvedansen" zuhören, danke dir, dass du mich immer neue tolle Lieder empfiehlst. 😋❤❤
Das ist ganz gut gesagt. Wenn man vielen Schmerz überlebt hat, besonders in den Händen von jemandem (hier Krilya in den Händen von Pseudje), beginnt man steif und kalt zu fühlen und das wird gefährlich. Wenn Pseudje kluger war und wollte den Macht, wovon sie so viel träumt, ohne Hindernisse zu erreichen, zeigte sie Krilya und Fero mehr Respekt, sodass diese Beiden keine Fiende für sie in der Zukunft würden. Aber böse Leute, die für Macht hungrig sind, sind oft nicht so klug, wie sie denken. 😉😉
Foreshadowing ist immer toll!
Es ist toll, dass deine Mutti den Fancast für Pseudje ausgewählt hat! Die Schauspielerin in dieser Rolle hat wirklich so eine böse und "scheming" so zu sagen Energie . Ganz gut gewählt! Ich liebe auch ihren Namen - ganz passend zu den Charakter.

Ich kann es mir vorstellen, wie Krilya an den Proften der Unterwelt steht und die Raben haben keine Interesse an sie, und gehen: "Nah, wir mögen sie nicht, tschüss, kleine Prinzessin", und Krilya ist einfach so wie: 👁👄👁 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gemma hört auch ganz interessant zu! Obwohl sie vielleicht keine Beziehungen zu den Divinitäten, oder etwas ähnliches hat, ihre Rolle hört ganz wichtig zu.
AHHH, ich liebe die Trope "Alle haben Angst vor ihm, aber sie fürchtete vor ihm nicht" - das ist eine meiner Lieblingstropen, zusammen mit: "sie streiten wie ein altes Ehepaar".
