    I am delighted to find your channel. This demonstration is just what I need. I plan to make a lady's traditional Turkish quilted long coat, and I want to put these button holes on it. Thank you!

    My Grandmother or maybe it was her daughter, my Mother taught me how to make buttonholes by hand as we didn't have a machine that had that feature on it. I don't think we slit the opening until the stitching was complete. ??? That was quite a long time ago.
