- Here's my Scoob movie review, if you want to call it that. It's more of a long-winded complaint-fest about a movie that should have been very easy to nail. Instead of a fun, scary Scooby adventure; we have an odd collection of scenes that are neither funny or interesting. The cast voices are all off, the humor is stuck in the past and the production value is pretty bland all around. The real Scooby mystery here is how did this movie get made?

I can't wait for the sequel to Scoob called BARNIE. It's advertised as a Flintstones movie but it's actually a Harvey birdman Jonny quest crossover with a cameo by secret squirrel or top cat or some shit while Barnie and Fred sit on the sidelines of their own movie
The movie bombed at the box office so hopefully we don’t get it
I just saw it earlier today, and as I die hard Scooby-Doo fan and a die hard fan to Hanna Barbera I have to say that this movie was random mediocre garbage.
I am a diehard fan of both too and loved it. Being a hardcore fan does not really add to my opinion being more true though.

Ryan The Animator sure can. That was pretty much my point of my comment. I guess you could not pick up the puzzle pieces. Me saying whether I am a “die hard” fan will not add more weight to any opinion. Just say your opinion and simple as that.

And it was very, very forgettable
While the 2002 and 2004 films were kind of dumb and not quite “good” films, they were at least memorable to a degree.
The Peanuts movie is a masterpiece it got me addicted to the comic strip.
At least that movie is faithful to its source material

Absolutely 💯 agree about the Peanuts movie. I really enjoyed it and so did my son when we went to see it in theater. Why can't we get more smart reboots like that? What is wrong with these people? Someone take them off their meds!?!?! #HailTerry
Dick Dasterdly was from Wacky Races. In every episode there was a race he tried to cheat and he always lost.

Ok Adam I was a fan of Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels (Deedee was one of the original Teen Angels... the girl you enjoyed piloting the ship who had no connection to Captain Caveman in this movie and the other 2 Teen Angels were not included...) and a fan of Blue Falcon and Dyno Mutt which was also a great Hanna-Barbera show I loved... ALL properties were misrepresented for what made them fun. 😔

The movie seems like it be even worse for kids than adults. I can’t imagine any kid understanding and laughing at all the family guy style reference jokes, Simon vowel references, sexual jokes, and random Hanabarbero properties
I know who these characters are but I really only know most of them cause they were on harvey birdman attorney at law.

Aw dang it! I was really looking forward to this one.
What they should've done is focus on Scooby-Doo and the gang, and their origin story. And save the other Hanna-Barbera characters for sequels, and give them their own stand alone movies first. And THEN do a big crossover.

This was kinda heartbreaking to hear! I was hoping this would've been "the next level" of Scooby comedy, or at least tie back to that old "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" cartoon! Thank you for jumping on this grenade, for mankind!

It lacked what made a Scooby-Doo film.
And while the 2002 and 2004 films were dumb to a degree, and not necessarily “good”, they’re at least memorable to a degree.
Those two as well as the animated films Zombie Island, Witch’s Ghost, Alien Invaders, Cyber Chase are 1000% better than this one.

I didn't think it was that bad, but still nothing impressive. As someone who grew up watching Hanna-Barbera reruns on Boomerang, I at least appreciate that they portrayed characters like Dick Dastardly and Blue Falcon somewhat correctly (although Captain Caveman really had no point being in this movie), but that's kinda the only thing I can give it credit for besides the animation. While I was never bored with it, I still wasn't having a good time while watching it. I honestly think they should've went with something more akin to Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.

I totally agree with you about this movie. I just finished this movie minutes ago and I thought it looked okay at first as the characters were in a “haunted house” and then there was the old intro sequence of the classic Scooby Doo. It just took me back into a world of nostalgia! Though, yeah, while I noticed only some things. And then when those super heroes and Dick Dastardly appeared, it just threw me completely off the ship besides a few parts of the first half of the first quarter of the movie.
And then they put in those progressive woke crap along with when they made Fred “bisexual”, that really tipped me of. And Bryan Blue Falcon superhero too, good grief! That was crap too.
I really liked the conspiracy mystery room that Dastardly had set up on his ship and that was something that could really had been used in the movie if they removed all of these random editions.
And really? You’d see the Emoji movie over this!? Hahaha, that’s something to say because this movie was “Doo Doo” for me. Never watching it again, wasted my time, and wasted $3 renting it on UA-cam. I’d rather watch the Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated series over this. 😅😒
But hey, maybe I did have fun in only some parts of this bottom-of-the-barrel movie. I like the Cerberus fight, but the caveman scene was what really sank the ship though.😂🙄

I'm old enough to have watched Blue Falcon and Dynomutt and loved it back then. When this came out I also bought this - excitedly! HB did crossovers all the time, and having CAPTAIN CAAAAAAVEMAAAAAANNNNNN!!!! in it? Ultra HD please! I never got past the second scene; so terrible...ruined my hope for a HBEU

It's very sad how much of a downturn Scooby Doo serious have become the last two year. First it was the tv series with the horrible Be Cool Scooby Doo and now, here is a movie that the same thing. I mean come on, did the company decided to half ass it. Also the movies is basically a cluster fuck with jokes and characters from other cartoon which no kid born today is gonna remember. Those characters were put there for nostalgic of older fan but it doesn't do anything for the movie at all. They probably thought that if they did that, older fans will come to watch it which means more money.
This movie would've been a whole lot more ambitious if it was actually about Scooby's origin, explaining why he talks and where he came from.
I heard Mystery Incorporated did something like that, and technically you could argue that this movie does say his origin by saying he's a descendant of Alexander the Great's dog

I had high hopes for this film but was extremely disappointed. The film markets it self as a Scooby Doo film but most of the Scooby gang just takes a backseat throughout the film.

Watching this movie I honestly felt, like I wasn’t even watching Scoob no. I was watching a poor man’s Shazam.
For the first time I have to disagree with you Adam. I'm 42 years old, my kid is 9 and we both enjoyed the movie. My kid only knows Scooby and Mystery Inc (he has no idea who Dick Dasterly or Capt Caveman were) and he was laughing all movie long. It's a movie made for today's kids with a lot of Easter eggs for us. But as always we can respectfully disagree.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. My 8 and 11 year old did not so it's not for every kid. I really wanted to have fun with it. Thanks for the honest opinion man.

Things just made me lose interest and disappointed me immensely:
1: Race bending Velma.
2:Making Velma Obnoxious Uppity Condescending Know it all person.
3:Fred is what the Left views every single White male . Dumb , doesn't listen to others' opinions, only knows about Superheroes but doesn't understand the metric system . His brain shuts down when he sees a gorgeous woman. All because of Toxic Masculinity. Yeah they went there.
4: Blue Falcon is also a White male. So why should he be any different. He's also an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing . Always saved by the woman who is a POC. Who is far more rational , intelligent and always correct. The writers definitely disliked his toxic Masculinity.
5: VA are alwful. Listening to shaggy was jarring and definitely put me off.
6: Horrible horrible jokes. Extremely predictable corny ill timed jokes. Trying too hard to be funny.

I was reviewing the Scooby movie.The Hanna Berbera stuff was forced into the film. If a movie doesn't work, it doesn't work. No matter what characters from the past show up.
@@AdamDoesMovies It just sounds like most of the problems with Scoob! is that you literally have no idea who and what the other characters are.
Even if the movie never worked, seeing these old characters in Scooby's universe again is a treat. Kids who have never heard of these characters would want to know who they are and where they came from.
Not since All Star Laff-A-Lympics has Scooby and the other 70's Hanna Barbera characters joined up like this ^^
You didn't pay attention if your takeaway was that the Hanna Barbera characters were the only issue I had. My kids and I really enjoy the Scooby Doo shows (almost every version) and even the live-action movies. We all hated this and the shoehorned in characters were only a small reason why. Glad you enjoyed seeing them all on the big screen but it wasn't for us.
[Adam Does Movies] I think the fact that those obscure Hanna-Barbera characters being *SHOEHORNED IN* was the problem with them. Not solely the fact that they appeared in the movie at all. They didn’t seem to actually try and develop them properly.
