Hi, 12:54 it's manta (МАНТЫ) rays or khinkali(ХИНКАЛИ). Khinkali is boiled in water and manti is steamed. There are also dumplings in Russia. Any such food can be bought at the grocery store. I highly recommend trying these dishes with sour cream.
You said absolutely nonsense! Fermented dairy products are ALREADY fermented by the bacteria that live in them. And the older the fermented milk product, the less unprocessed milk remains in it. Therefore, combination of the frmented dairy with salted or smoked fish or cucumbers can not affect your digestion in any way. But a FRESH MILK is another thing! It is milk that can provoke an upset stomach with incorrect combinations of products, because then fresh milk begins to actively ferment in your stomach. But ALL the frmented dairy goes perfectly with fish and cucumbers and with anything! Therefore, the sour cream (smetana) is a universal additive (sauce) FOR ANY PRODUCT.
When you have eaten rough and heavy food and the gut lets you know - kefir quickly normalizes digestion. A glass of kefir for the night is an invariable tradition of Russians for more than one century. Russian fermented milk products are always good for health and have a great variety in Russia. My grandmother drinks whey (transparent liquid accumulating from below of prostokvasha) in the summer heat from PROSTOKVASHA (same fermented milk but different) from the refrigerator. As a result - a healthy stomach that can digest nails ... probably.))))

Well, there is recycling in Russia, but it's not entirely implemented on federal level, more like a private initiative so far. But, if you care about ecology, you can google if there are recycling options in your district of the city for any specific type of garbage, like batteries for example or plastic.

Heyyy love your videos, you’re doing a great job! I’m from Moscow and meat had never been a problem really if you buy it in the market (Рынок «Rynok») or in butcher shops. Meat there is super fresh and is much better than in other countries (I’ve been living in Canada for 7y). That’s why a lot of dishes are so delicious in Caucasian restaurants in (Georgian cuisine included) in Moscow:)

Those Georgian dumplings, khinkhali, are the best!
The Englishwoman reacts vividly to ordinary everyday products: kefir, cottage cheese, ryazhenka, sour cream! Why don't they have it in London? And the metro in Russia is clean and like a work of art, travel costs a penny. And she got excited about meat, she hadn't been to the meat market yet...in general, leave your Britain, you have not been to other beautiful places of vast Russia yet, half a lifetime is not enough to see at least part of it...
Dried fish schould be served with beer as a snack - that's how it meant to be eaten. No one eats dried fish without beer beacuse it's too rigid and solty.
1. Kefir is Arabic drink, the word is Turkish and it was described as Prophet Mohammad first described how to make this drink. (It's not Russian) 2. Ryazhenka is Ukrainian, but since Russians are killing Ukrainians lately they are not spreading that information, to boost sales. 3. Cottage Cheese earliest mention is in Homer's Odyssey, thousands of years ago, that's not Russian in any sense. 4. No recycling - that's a truly Russian invention, good job pointing that out. 5. Georgian food... how do I break it down, it's Georgian, not Russian. There is no Russian food, the Ruski nationality is little over 100 years old, and it is a mix or native Finnish and Hungarian tribes living on the land there, all the food is borrowed from nations living around them.

It had always been a childhood dream of mine to visit Russia, unfortunately as you grow up and see things in a much different light, for what they really are, certain dreams fall through. As lovely as it is that you feel so welcome and are treated with so much warmth, let’s be mindful of the fact that Russia as a whole is home to nothing more than pure racism. If I were to visit, there is no doubt I would be treated in a very different way and I don’t mean that in a good way. For reference I’m Indian born and raised in the Uk (London) and although you mention you find Russians a lot more welcoming than “British people”, I would have to kindly disagree with that statement

>> I’m from Moscow and meat had never been a problem
- What is it? Green, long and smells like a sosage?
- Suburban train (Электричка) from Moscow!

Niceee! By the #3 I was running to the Kitchen.. For a glass of Milkkk. Yummy 😋
Haha
Those Georgian dumplings, khinkhali, are the best! Eating them is quite an art - the real experts can hold them above their mouths, bite into it, and slurp in the broth inside without a face covered in the liquid. Also recommend sitsivi (I think it's called), which is meat cooked in delicious walnut sauce. Very hungry now!
Oh, you are half Russian… your mom must be a beautiful woman
Kat you remind me so much of Hayley Westenra, the kiwi girl from New Zealand. She lives in the U.K.
I'm sure you have heard about her. Hayley is a great singer, but she like you are so nice, upbeat, positive
beautiful, you two share very similar qualities, could be twins, never get enough of your nicety
Thank you for interesting review of ordinary food which can be surprising for foreigners. Good luck in new stories.
Yeah, Kefir, is delicious and very healthy!
You should eat dry fish with beer. Also if u are in milk products u should try Georgian Matsoni.
Really superb. Very nice. Your voice is cool 😎😎. ☺☺
You can buy almost all of this food in UK in polish and Baltic countries shops, even jabs and birch tree juice
You can buy kefir in Tesco or Sainsbury’s.
Damian :)
these "young policemen (and policewomen)" you have mentioned are actually Police Academy cadets
1 of 10 surprise for me is Fresh Milk but I need aditional winter time in Russia
Possibly miss Sullivan endorser Sarofanovo..)))
Thank you for sharing we want more videos 👍 what is your occupation there? you can teach English
Hi Nicholas, thank you for your comment. I am a full-time English teacher for kids :)
I look at your expression when you speak and find similarities with Hugh Lorry in the TV series "Doctor House". He's British, too. Are you all like this?))) Take it as a compliment! Very lively and beautiful, I like it
Smetana is also great for *paprikas!*
I know half a dozen Russian shops just in North West London alone.
Dried fish would go nice with a pint of 🍻
I love your Chanel ! I saw your videos from when you lived in Italy. I was wondering, since I’m English to what visa was you on ?
Hi! Thank you so much for your support :) My mum is Russian so I have Russian citizenship so I'm not any visa here. When I was living in Italy, the UK was still part of the EU so I didn't need to fill in any forms/get a visa. Which country are you interested in visiting?
@@katya.fromengland Spain !! It’s very hard to go there to work, so I’ve decided to study there. I speak fluent Spanish, I wanted to go uni, but I have to sit access exams, which are very hard. So I’ve decided to study grado superior, which is higher vocational trading almost like an apprenticeship in marketing and publicity
How much coffein is in these fermented drinks? You are soooo intense girl! Fast speech and loud! But anyways good video! The content is accurate. Especially the room temperature! Russians wear thin clothes inside. Very different!
Georgian food is so good! Ginkala and Kachapuri and Kharko (soup) !
Dried fish is a popular beer accompanying snack but in my opinion it is RANK! I love however the dark rye bread garlic infused baked strips (Grenki)
No coffein in these drinks at all, because they are made from milk. But they contain 1% of alcohol (natural, nobody adds it). And it's ok to drink Kefir and drive car😄
P.S.: sorry for my English, I don't use translator
Like just for the Kefir :)
I haven't got the clue on issues with meat. What is the difference compared to the UK (especially, when you often visit Perekrё-stock: they have a bunch of different offers for meat eaters normally)?
All you need is a cow, )))
What is COTTA cheese? Do you mean Cottage cheese? I'm confused lol
Police. Definitely a lot of police everywhere. It's good👍
So, you left ( U.K ).....and become english teacher in RUSSIA ?
Haha yes :)
Wow. Meat in Perekrestok is never good. Brrr... But you'll huk the right shop eventually!
(It's not Russian)
How beautiful you are))) ... Stay takkoy always))) ..,
Gushy Kat.....xx
Sold fish + kefir = big mistake lol
Smetana has a higher fat percentage than sour cream
Is it possible to meet you in Moscow?
Reggie Yates - Russia documentary … highly recommend.
Did U ever try a solt spicy hering fish preserves ?
Why are you so cruel?

First smetana and second fish. Are you really sure of your stomach?
No, no, no... don't eat that little fish like that. Peel off the skin, break off the head and rip off its belly with all the guts inside. Then the little strips of meat along its spine and tail are ok to eat... I went like - No!! Stop!! when watching the video
damn girl you really like your cottage cheese
Russian > English
Moscow is not very clean in comparison to other cities, I must say...
I hate tvorog and other russians too😀😁
The cottage cheese in the pack is in fact curd. However, real curd is only somewhat crumbly when it is no longer fresh. In other words, this curd may be made out of palm oil. Russian food is mostly rubbish.
