Namaste! Beautiful documentary. Thank you for sharing your trip. ❤ We were going to do an EBC trek in 2022, but two members of our group had some heart issues, so instead we decided to just hike to Namche Bazar without a guide or porter and then do day treks. We stayed in Namche for a week and got to know the town and the locals. We even got to celebrate Tihar (the festival of light) with them. We then did various day hikes around the area to places that not many tourists get to see. We were usually the only non-Nepalese around. It was incredible. This is a good option for people who want to experience the area, but may not feel comfortable going all the way to EBC or may want to go at their own pace and schedule. We also took a helicopter to Lukla and then up to Kala Patthar instead of the plane. When I saw the Himalayas from the helicopter I felt like such an insignificant nothing. Yes, the Nepalese are impressive people. We say that Superman doesn’t live in the Fortress of Solitude, he lives in Nepal and wears flip-flops. 😁
Visiting Everest has always been my dream. I hope one day I'll be able to visit. For now, I'm tryna make myself more prepared by doing treks on our mountains here in the Philippines. So much respect for this vlog! ❤
It's definitely the moment everyone will remember who ever did this trek, the story line was awesome at the end, I'm literally in tears when I'm watching the golden Peak, the worlds highest peak, I'm not yet that grateful as you guys, but I'm going on this November 2024, to witness the beauty of the Himalayas. Hopefully I don't get sick, fingers crossed 🤞. I even traning so hard for this I reduced 8kg of my body weight. And I'm going Solo.
Amazing!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful Everest Base Camp trek experience with us! We're thrilled to have been a part of your incrediable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. We hope your trek inspires many more to embark on this remarkable odyssey in the future. The adventure awaits you all!
Beautifully done. Watched with great interest! At my age, not a feasible experience…. But have been in awe of Everest and the Himalayas for decades. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey!
Great video! Looks like you had a great time! This does a really great job of explaining in detail what to expect if you go. Something I haven’t seen before for this trek (or any trek in Nepal). Plenty of Instagrammable views as you’d expect, but really useful info for future visitors. Thanks!
The video is amazing, by the way. I am watching many videos - on Goggle - to prepare. I will be 68 - when I make the Trek. I feel like I cold do the Trek - now. Of course - that's crap. Thanks for anything that you can add.
from the first minute, he has an attitude that pushed me away from continuing the video. there are 100 of videos about such adventure, but all are humble . except this dude
10 of us have just got back yesterday done it with Alpine Ramble Treks the same as you. We had no accly days there and back in 10 days. We never had good weather when we hit Everest so there was no point in doing Kala Pathar. The new sign had been put in front of the stone a few days before. First thing we done when we got back to Kathmandu was to hit KFC…😂 Think people who do these videos need to really tell it how it is. Hardest thing I’ve ever done. Coming back was harder than actually getting there. Such a magical experience though. People have nothing but will do anything for you and expect nothing in return…
Guys, that was an amazing adventure, and thank you so much for all the work and effort involved to let us come along. You presented the experience in a very down-to-earth way that made it seem very immediate for us viewers. I don't know you, but I am so proud of you for your accomplishment. I was in Bolivia last year at 13,000 feet and I know I struggled for a week there at that altitude (and I wasn't hiking!), so I am very impressed by how well you did and by your great positive attitude in dealing with the altitude issue. You explained the lack of meat, but I wonder if you could feel the shortage of protein in your diet, given how much you were exerting yourselves every day. Did you lose much weight over the 2 weeks you were hiking? Was the dry air a problem for you? I am prone to nose bleeds, and I struggled daily to try to avoid nose bleeds when I was in Bolivia. So many questions. But thank you again for enabling so many of us to experience this monumental trek. I am eager to view the follow-up video you mentioned at the end.
Thanks so much for watching and your comment! I did actually loose a lot of weight over the two weeks, I probably lost about 10lbs, due to lack of protein and how much we where moving each day. The air was very dry but I was surprised I did not get a nose bleed because I usually do as well. Again thanks for watching ❤️
You are awesome guys. You gave us the full experience of the base camp, it is on my bucket list. I am from Saudi Arabia, we have really nice places to visit as AlUla. You are welcome to visit us, you will like it
Hi coaches, I hope this message finds you well!! I love your content, keep up the good work. I do have a question. Were you required to get immunizations before entry Nepal? Particularly malaria or cholera?
Maybe missed you saying it but when did you go, expect in autumn since you said “off season from climbing Everest” but also more like which month? I am going there this October so that’s why I wonder. And when you often said it was cold, like at Kala Patthar and other places, how cold was it if you were to guess
Hello! First off - Meg is amazing. How beautiful. Enough of that!. Whatmonth do you recommend? What jacket do you recommend? I think Ian wore one jacket the whole time. Any particualr boot?
Can you comment on any training or exercises you did to prepare for this? - I am a martial artist myself and consider myself in pretty good shape. I run 2-3, 5k’s a week. I lift, roll Jiu-Jitsu and kickbox. So my cardio is pretty good. I was just wondering ❤❤ - thank you!!!
Hey Ian and Meg! Awesome video, thank you so much for documenting and sharing your journey! I wanted to ask: which camera did you film it with? Thank you!
Loved the video. I'm also planning on doing the EBC this November, I was just wondering what pants do you suggest for the weather at that time of year? Cheers
You will have an awesome trip. I brought a lightweight hiking pant and at thicker hiking pant. i only wore the lightweight ones the first day because then I started to get a little cold. Like most hikes layers are key being the mornings are very cold but when the sun comes you will get nice and warm. Thanks for watching our video❤️
I am assuming you are talking about my map animations... I actually had someone make those for me and I believe they used After Effects. Sorry I am not much help there. Thanks for watching ❤️
When did you guys go on your trip? We are going in a few weeks with the same group. We are avid crossfitters and saw your shirt and that gave us hope that we can make it too!
We went in November. Yes if you are working out and taking care of your body you will be just fine. Just take it very very very slow. Also don't be afraid to take high altitude medication if you are having issues. Thanks for watching❤️
Also, how much water are you drinking - a day. In 2025, I will begin training fr my 2026 trip. I plan on walking 10 miles - with a back pack containing 10 to 20 pounds of potatoes.
Obviously that would not be ideal, but they do have access to helicopters! That is also why it is a good idea to invest in international health insurance ❤️
Its nepalese people believe that when you are in trake and follow by dog it means that nothing going to happen in treak .If you harm to dog &can bring some bad luck.❤
You shouldn't travel to other people's country and disrespect them and their way of doing things there. If you think you're superior and your country is the best, then stay home.
I have seen better videos of hiking everest base camp. I stopped watching this one for your lack of admiration and respect for that country and its people.
This is one of the worst Everest Base Camp Trek videos I have ever seen and I have seen them all. This Guy with his selfie ego. Shut up for ten seconds. Never got to see the views just his boring insights? keep them to yourself not to mention his voice so load and over bearing! The hand slap in our face to single the end of the day was very off putting and lazy.

great video! lLoved all of the tipsI would love to do this…but I remember going to Pikes Peak and how nauseated I was.
A little bit of training and you could do it! Thanks for watching I am glad you enjoyed it❤️
I took a plane just like that from Kathmandu around Everest and back.
I bet that was a little scary! 😮
You are awesome guys. You gave us the full experience of the base camp, it is on my bucket list. I am from Saudi Arabia, we have really nice places to visit as AlUla. You are welcome to visit us, you will like it
Amazing! Thanks so much for watching our video. We would love to visit Saudi Arabia someday.

I hope this message finds you well!!
I love your content, keep up the good work.
I do have a question.
Were you required to get immunizations before entry Nepal? Particularly malaria or cholera?
35:00 Food Quantity - If you order the soup rice and vegetable meal (dhal bhat) it is generally a "eat as much as you like" meal.
Minnesota represent.
🙌🙌

First!
Love it!!❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the video, where did Meg got her orang headband please
Great vid! I've heard now you can't do solo EBC trek. Do you know if that's mandatory? Thanks
Any chance that you could recommend a few travel companies and a good waterproof backpack?
Hey Ian and Meg! Awesome video, thank you so much for documenting and sharing your journey! I wanted to ask: which camera did you film it with? Thank you!
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed the video. I filmed using a Sony ZV-E10, a Gopro, and my Iphone!
@@thetravelcoaches thank you!! :)
can anyone remember which month they went?
What insurance company did you use for the trek?
Loved the video. I'm also planning on doing the EBC this November, I was just wondering what pants do you suggest for the weather at that time of year? Cheers

Amazingly documented,, what did you use to show maps and routes ?
I am assuming you are talking about my map animations... I actually had someone make those for me and I believe they used After Effects. Sorry I am not much help there. Thanks for watching ❤️
F'en amazing video. Can you tell us how much in total did the trip cost?
Well done you 2, enjoyed watching
Glad you enjoyed it!! ❤️
How much did you pay to the travel company?
In which month you've been there?
What kind of training would you recommend for this trekking
59:30 he goes into some pretty good detail about training
Im going next March. Great video! What month did you do this ?
So exciting! We did our trek in November
The documentary would be an actual documentary if the camera was facing “away” from the narrator.
What month are you guys trek EBC?
November!
Did you guys enjoy some Yak cheese?
Which month did you do the EBC?
November!
When did you guys go on your trip? We are going in a few weeks with the same group. We are avid crossfitters and saw your shirt and that gave us hope that we can make it too!

We hope to go maybe next year. What month did you go?
We went in November! Thanks for watching❤️
Is it possible to trek with music in your ears? I think that could be motivating!
Yes for sure you could do that! Thanks for watching our video❤️
Thanks for explaining the meat issue! I guess they couldn't bring live animals up there and then, use them for meat???
Which company did you use for Everest
Alpine Ramble! Thanks for Watching ❤️
Also, how much water are you drinking - a day. In 2025, I will begin training fr my 2026 trip. I plan on walking 10 miles - with a back pack containing 10 to 20 pounds of potatoes.
Is a porter or guide required for this EBC trek, as per the latest regulations, or may we do it without them?
I believe it is not required, but can be helpful! ❤️
Oh...I was kind of afraid that my battery will freeze up on my camera. Am I off base?
What would happen if someone were to have a serious medical emergency? Like stroke or heart attack?
Obviously that would not be ideal, but they do have access to helicopters! That is also why it is a good idea to invest in international health insurance ❤️
Enough of your Naxin bazar bro, it’s Namche (Nam-che) bazar😂😂….sorry but really happy to see all your reactions. Enjoy mate
Yes I apologize for saying everything wrong especially in the beginning of the video haha. Took me some time to learn the names. Thanks for watching❤️
Its nepalese people believe that when you are in trake and follow by dog it means that nothing going to happen in treak .If you harm to dog &can bring some bad luck.❤
Great to know, thanks for watching❤️
Are the handsome yaks friendly? Did anybody you've met in tea houses enjoyed some yak steaks?
How much did you pay to the travel company?
You talk and act a lot like me are you a teacher or have you been a teacher before?
Crossiant is not our thing hehe
Daal vaat power, 24 hours.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You shouldn't travel to other people's country and disrespect them and their way of doing things there. If you think you're superior and your country is the best, then stay home.
base camp don't count. Climbing the mountain is the reason you go. I could never go to base camp without trying to summit, so torturous
I have seen better videos of hiking everest base camp. I stopped watching this one for your lack of admiration and respect for that country and its people.
You made a nice video, but you butchered almost every one of those names of the villages lol
Yes my apologies, that is not something I am proud of. I got better as the days went on. Thanks for still watching and showing support!❤️
Unnecessary loud laughs and camera shakes irritates to watch this video😬
This is one of the worst Everest Base Camp Trek videos I have ever seen and I have seen them all. This Guy with his selfie ego. Shut up for ten seconds.
