- Before taking the road and heading to Mexico with Daniel, Sean go to see the David. David talks about Chloe and Max. According to the previous ending in LIS1, he may even mention the nightmares he had after Chloe got shot or he talk about Chloe and Max and what happened to them after they survived the event of Arcadia bay. I have included both outcomes and edited the video in a sequential way to show you the different outcomes and dialogues of this particular scene. Enjoy!

I tell you man, it literally choked me to hear that... I can't recall the last time that ever happened, but I've just grown so attached to all of these characters and I care so much about what happened to them. Chloe and Max ending up together was special on its own, but her and David Making Peace was the cherry on top

It's kinda sad to realise that David loses someone no matter what choice you make. In a way he loses everyone in both realities.

I mean sure, in the "Chloe dies" world he is basically pretty alone with his wife divorcing him and his daughter dead. But he still has Joyce, even if it isn't in a romantic way. She still calls him up and talks to him like an old friend would. My point is that no matter what, David loses someone important to him. But if you really think about it, David loses everyone no matter what you choose because no one is physically with him; he chose to be alone in the desert and frankly that speaks volumes to how much pain he will always be going through, no matter the choice you make.
Sam The Lion yeah you’re right. But I do still prefer Chloe being alive because she comes to visit him and Max is happy and yeah. I just like Chloe being alive because he got a Chance to fix things with her. Because if you sacrifice Chloe, Chloe doesn’t know how much she means to David and he regrets not showing her that. At least Joyce is gone but knows how much she meant to him. Also He looks much happier and better in Arizona then he was in Arcadia tbhh. He’s a much more care free individual now.

I love how they didn't force characters from Life is Strange 1 into this series, like how they give David an appearance and update us on how Chloe and Max are going without it being irrelevant to the plot.
I see it the opposite, to me Life is strange was a story about the original cast and calling the game Life is strange 2 implies a continuation to the story. I dont have any problem with the game, it just doesnt feel right that it has the same title. The least we could get is appearence from Max (who isn't even mentioned if you saved the bay).
It would be like if every marvel movie was called 'the avengers' despite a lot of them having no tie to the avengers.
Again, not saying the game is bad, i just personally would have liked more acknowledgement of the first game, hell we go near arcadia at one point, i would have loved to see the aftermath of the first game. Seeing how the bay rebuilt would have been cool, or seeing the school is shambles from the lack of prescott funding and controversy.

Life is strange 2 has been advertised as a sequel, thus meaning it would have to continue the story of the first game.

@@UneclipsedGamer The ending of the first one hit me hard, I went back and let time do what it was supposed to, I let Chloe die so Arcadia Bay could live... When I first heard the music kick in and watched this scene I cried, As the player I felt guilty but either way he ends up with a depressing backstory in 2... but he loses a lot less in the Save Arcadia Bay path...
So from what I've gathered from the first part, it sounds like Chloe and Max are together living in New York City where Max has made it as a photographer and Chloe has made peace with David after Arcadia Bay was destroyed.
I FINALLY have the closure I needed after the first LIS ended and I've never been so happy/sad in my life!!
Kira All if you want to knows what happens after Arcadia Bay gets destroyed then read the comics cause they show what happens after that ending and it’s really nice and I recommend it

Well it’s a bit of a drive from the barn to the city, and David was probably there with Jefferson waiting for the cops, even if he left and headed for the city it’s possible the tornado has already hit by then.
Victoria survived too. I cannot believe I did not think of this earlier but since Max does not attend the party after saving Chloe from Mr. Jefferson... then Max had no way warning Victoria about Mr. Jefferson so Victoria would have been captured. Then Mr. Jefferson saves Victoria and now Victoria is going though therapy.
Seeing a picture of Chloe and Max together, after everything you have been through with them in the first game and especially if you save Chloe, I'm not going to lie, it kind of of chokes me up to see them again because of just how much I love those girls. I'm also happy that Chloe was able to make peace with her stepfather

the reason i always choose to save chloe is because if chloe dies in the bathroom, her last memory of max is her leaving at her funeral, she knows nothing of the friendship/relationship she’s going to rebuild with max and that’s j too sad for me :(

As a rational thinker I simply know sacrificing Chloe is the right choice to make. One life against many. But I can't ever silence that voice in my heart that keeps screaming "No, fuck that. Nothing else matters but Chloe!"

God my love hate relationship with so many of the Life is Strange characters is one of my favorite parts of the game. So many of them are assholes but they're human, and the more you get to know the characters, the more lovable the feel.

I'm starting to see a pattern of Life is Strange, where they Foreshadow of what they hate.
Chole used to hate the Disabled and she became paralyzed herself in Episode 4.
David doesn't hate Hippies, but he was strict against alcohol and drugs. But I guess David being a hippo was the next best thing they could do to foreshadow.

But I have a mini speculation or theory or something, the LIS creators are or have created a comic about Chloe and Max if the Bay was sacrificed, by hearing the line, "New Yorkers are assholes.", when David is on the phone. I figure that by the time that LIS2 takes place, they're [Chloe and Max] are probably in New York and this will be seen in the comics.

I didn't barely recognize them... Wow... It was amazing to hear that they are still together and it sounds like the past isn't haunting them too terribly. Max is still doing her pictures and Chloe actually is on good terms with David, good enough to call him on her own and he calls her sweetie... I wish we could meet Chloe and Max or something but it's enough to hear about them

I personally would have liked them to meet and maybe talk about life a little, just some kind of interaction... The best I can say we get in that respect is hearing David's answers to Chloe and talking about things like, Max is still doing photography most likely because David mentioned a gallery, we hear David talking much more affectionately and the photo we see. I wish we knew more, and even thinking of them out there makes me want another game following them and where they go, how they are dealing with the guilt of basically letting a whole town of people they knew and loved, if it has hurt their relationship with one another. IDK like I said I'm glad they even mentioned them but it does make me want more of Max and Chloe post-arcadia

It absolutely broke my heart when David called himself Chloe’s bully when reflecting on how he treated her before she died. He truly understood how he wasn’t going about punishing Chloe as a parent the right way and how he could and SHOULD have done things differently after it was too late. He was truly transformed into a different person after she died and he and Joyce separated.

It wasn’t a stupid ending. You really have to decide if saving one person is worth killing thousands of innocent people. It’s a hard decision. Especially when you’ve played the game and befriend some of those people who end up dying if you chose to save Chloe.

I killed the Bay. Hearing David talk about Chloe in the “Chloe Dead” timeline breaks my heart man.
You killed thousands and destroyed David's belongings and life for one girl then... in the shot scene, Max saves the town from her own mistake, everything in it, and isn't the one at fault here since she didn't interfere with something that time allowed to happen, and Nathan is the bad guy and the one responsible...
@lar If you want to be selfish and want to sacrifice an entire town, including the rest of your partner's family, be my guest. It's an evil thing to do for one person who was meant to die in terms of fate... to make up for that, and to balance everything, it had to claim an entire town for the life of a single teen... I love Chloe and Max, but Chloe had to die... Max caused the storm because she messed with fate
@lar actually I would.. my life up to the point where I am right now has been the direct cause of my mom passing away from cancer in 2008... I was able to go to college and whatnot because I ended up in foster care... My life was miserable when I was growing up after those events and I wish I could go back in time and redo everything, warn her about her cancer, but if I were to do that my current path would have never happened.. I was fortunate enough to have this path but I do miss her... But I would never want to bring her back if it meant we both had to live in poverty again... Life is strange is fundamentally about the sacrifices in life we make for the better... Allowing Chloe to live and an entire town to die is morally wrong

This honestly saved the entire game for me. I know that sounds sad/stupid, but seeing Max and Chloe together and knowing that at LEAST they’re happy puts me at ease. I also love that David and Chloe finally connected... Joyce would’ve been happy to see that. 💕

If you want to know If Max was 18 and Chloe was 19 in LiS then LiS2 Max is 21 and Chloe is 22 Becuase LiS Canon story year set is 2013 and LiS2 is 2016

To be precise, the date of this scene in LiS2 is July 4, 2017. Photo is probably semi-recent. I agree that they nailed the aging, from the picture of Max and Chloe to the epilogues with Sean and Daniel and all the side characters. Really thoughtful details, I love it. (Sorry to resurrect an old comment, I just finished the game!)

lis3 wouldnt focus on a past character. your best chance would be something similar to before the storm but i still dont see how that would work. dontnod is big on starting new stories so i highly doubt they would go back to chris, especially since they already made a game about chris.

True. From a practical and moral standpoint, there is no other option. Still, at the same time with morality, it's only partly right since morals would also dictate to save Chole and not let their family suffer and have Max bear the burden alone. But I would still choose to Sacrifice the Bay.
Chole wanted it to be this way. Plus the other characters have messed up lives too and will have a chance to improve their lives. Chole would be at peace with her father and Rachel.
On the other hand, a town was destroyed but a handful of individuals were safe, free, and happy. Also not alone. Max, Chole, and David are the main ones.

i’m so glad i sacrificed arcadia bay. i mean, i love that town but hearing david talking about chloe like she’s dead really breaks my heart. i couldn’t let her die like that and especially after seeing her die multiple times already, i’m glad i made the decision i did. her and max are happy now and i’m so glad! she’s even made peace with david.

I don't think so she was definitely in danger every single episode in LIS but after the sacrifice of Arcadia Bay her life was normal again and she also got Max by her side it's just that the others died in the storm

Granted, Sean also dies in one of the endings. They'd have to use the weird shenanigans from the comics to bring him back if they don't want to say that ending wasn't canon.
Ok, how about something happens that causes Max to time travel again, Chloe is alive, and at this point in time so is Sean. Max and Chloe then meet Daniel and Sean, and no matter what ending was achieved in LiS and LiS2, Chloe and Sean both have a reason to be alive. It’s a win-win.
@@AmalGum001 That could work, chloes death doesnt seem to be the cause for the hurricane on its own, its the whole tangling 80 different timelines in one week that caused it, so she could in theory go back and save her if they go down that route.
I like how they finally gave BAE ending the proper closure after having such a short ending for it in LIS1. This nod for LIS worked well. I was so worried Max was randomly going to show up in Mexico or something... would have been so forced.
God, Joyce's death really did its toll on him. It's like watching lieutenant Dan's change
but he would still end up the way he is if chloe died. at least if joyce is dead chloe and david become closer so thats good. if chloe is dead joyce wouldnt have talked to david for a while which feels more sadder so i like this ending where chloe and david are closer than they ever been

As nice as it is to see Chloe and Max again, and hear about them traveling around the US together, it kind of feels like they're now just running from the ghosts they left behind in order to be together. Pretty bittersweet.
yeah. people keep saying “they look so happy together and in their new life!! they look so peaceful It gives me peace!!” but I’m over here like?? in what universe would ANYONE who’d murdered an entire town be at peace? especially someone as gentle hearted and caring as max? there’s no way max isn’t haunted by her decision at every waking moment. that’s not living and that’s not happiness. choosing the bay over chloe is 1000% the right choice. it’s the way things are supposed to be.

honestly wish we got closure on more of the characters from the sacrifice chloe option (kate, frank, WARREN, etc.) but it still is refreshing to get some closure from the sacrifice arcadia bay option
if you sacrifice the bay some people still survive there is a letter in which Victoria thanks david for saving her life in a bunker so if victoria can survive so can the others. i feel like the good ending is to sacrifice the bay that way our main characters max and chloe survive the background characters literally are npcs why should we care for them lol

I like this segment with David in the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay version for several reasons.
We see that Max and Chloe are still together after all these years. Some thought Chloe would leave Max because she let her mom and so many people die...but that was never an option considering her reaction to that choice in the finale. Partners in crime forever!
We learn that they've been to New York. It was one of the places Chloe wanted to visit, something she told Rachel about in the prequel. But the best part is that on top of that, they travel to different places together and Max becomes a photographer. It's literally their childhood dream and they realized it. There's a flashback in the first game about what they want to do when they grow up.
Max: "What do you truly want to do when you grow up?"
Chloe: "Max, I'm already grown up. What about you?"
Max: "Travel. That would be awesome. Explore the world. Go far from here..."
Chloe: "Far from me? Thanks a lot, dude."
Max: "Dude, you would totally come with me! I need a bodyguard for our adventures!"
Chloe: "I would be like Lara Croft, except real. That would be majorly cool."
Max: "Totally! We'd have cars and boats and planes all over for instant escape! And no adults could tell us what to do!"
Chloe: "Count me in. What would you do while I was bodyguarding you?"
Max: "Maybe take pictures of our adventures. I would love to be a photographer. As if I ever could be..."
Chloe: "What are you talking about? Max, you are a photographer. Your pictures could be in a museum. Someday they will. I believe in you..."
So...they did.
I love the fact that Chloe and David made up and now have a warm relationship. Chloe no longer feels alone and abandoned by everyone now that she now has Max and no longer step-jerk David. And Max and Chloe now have a place to come back to and where they will always be welcome.
And finally I love the picture of Max and Chloe. Chloe now has a design close to her childhood image - she has long hair again and is okay with wearing pink things. I think it reflects her inner state - she's no longer a girl angry at the world, and she can finally be at peace with herself having Max around. I also like Max's new look - she looks more confident and no longer hiding behind bangs.
I'm glad Max and Chloe are in a good place after all they've been through. They deserve it.
RIP Chloe in my playthrough...I cried everytime David mentioned her. But I kinda like how Max just dropped off the face of the Earth in my game. She's never mentioned by David and he even says that he never knew anyone with super powers before.
No one knows about her power because it's so invisible. Which is both a shame and awesome. I have a feeling she'll become like this Universe's April Ryan.
Remember, Max never meets David without Chloe's help, or it was done in a way where David has no ties to her besides the funeral scene and probably the court cases after the shooting...

Nathan probably outed Jefferson, since he would have physical proof to link him to Rachel and his other victim's deaths as well... Max had never told anyone about her powers from that moment Chloe is shot since she went back in time...

This made me smile and finally i can relax after watching this. Finally both of them are happy and together. I can easily picture Chloe and Max with David joking, smiling and talking.
It’s so wholesome to hear about Max & Chloe, but honestly I couldn’t ever choose her over everyone else in Arcadia Bay. I developed too much of a connection to Warren, Kate, Joyce, David, even fucking Victoria.

This brought closure to my heart. Saving Chloe might be best thinking back.
The version where Chloe is alive completely justifies going Bae over Bay. Look at how much David is in this version vs the one where she’s dead. In the other version he lost Chloe and Joyce (they divorced). The phone call from Joyce reveals that Nathan is getting out after just 3 years for not just Chloe’s but even Rachel’s murder. What kind of justice is that? In the good version a relationship between a step father and step daughter is mended; he’s unofficially gained two daughters; both him and Chloe have changed for the better; Pricefield is living their best lives in NYC; Max didn’t give up photography; Nathan and Jeffershit are both right where they belong; and Rachel got her revenge on the Bay. Personally, I do believe that theory of it being Rachel’s wrath rather than Max’s power’s and/or saving Chloe. Even the website says its never 100% confirmed who/what caused the storm. Plus, Kate’s been confirmed in an interview as surviving the storm if she didn’t jump in Episode 2. She’s really the only other character I care about in the game.
