Was legitimately impressed by this car at the auto show this year. Sharp exterior, clean interior with great seats. Bring back the SE-R Spec V with a 6 speed and I'd consider one.

I remember the old Sentras of 1989, 1990, the majority equipped as taxis where I live because of its price, low maintenance costs, reliability and long lasting service.
After watching the video of the flamboyant driver reviewing a 1 million USD sedan and scoring it at 62%, it’s a relief that a car which is 3% that budget gets a quite similar qualification in beans, cookies and the other snacks.

Actually, all birds do have tongues, including crows. But no teeth, they instead may have some serration to the edge of their beaks like geese have. However....I had to Google this to look it up!
The front passenger seat shaking violently during hard braking is probably a deal breaker for most people who don't already love Nissan...

Sorry, but my GF got into an accident with her 2017 Altima, and the airbags didn't deploy. She hit a patch of water, and she spun out at 70 MPH! When she told Nissan about it to form a complaint, they reviewed the data and said the conditions didn't warrant the airbags to deploy, even though the front and sides were heavily damaged during the accident. We also discovered this was not an isolated incident, as others have had this happened to them. They need to fix their s*** or someone is really going to get killed by their safety systems not working. Nice looking car, but they need to take safety seriously.
Clearly Nissan has totally given up on originality. Now every one of their cars look identical just slightly different sizes. Exterior is ok to me but did love the interior. Great review Sarah
Great review, Sarah. You're right about Nissan, as a corporate entity. They're lost and don't know what to do. Their former CEO smuggled himself out of Japan in a wooden crate, to avoid criminal prosecution! The car is actually pretty good looking; just underpowered. Keep up the great work. Love your channel.

Nissan Sentra B13 is popular in Mexico since build B13 for long time. The current Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador used to drive B13 before switch VW Jetta.

Everyone knows this vehicle will probably be on the chopping block. Especially now since rental companies are having a tough time. With so many other alternatives, anyone voluntarily picking up this instead of something else is not doing their homework.

The CVT is garbage in my juke. The engine is awesome though. I did all the required services and the transmission still went out at 122k miles.

That 2020 Nissan Sentra looks bigger than my 2004 Nissan Sentra. I thought that was a Nissan Altima before I looked at the title of the video.

Absolutely!!!! Come on Nissan!! You have a great platform here. Upgrade the brake system and offer a 2.0 liter turbo. Why did you put exactly what this car needs into the Altima instead of the spirited drivers car, Sentra SR ? Get it together. You’re loosing the market for small sport sedans .
They need to bring back the SER SPEC-V
Personally, I think Nissan is more stylish than Honda and Toyota, despite being less reliable. Anyways, before 2012 there was the SE-R Spec V that was turbocharged, it's sad to have it discontinued

But to give a positive Nissan comment: I saw a Silvia S15 today. It was blue and had a wing. It's on it's way to it's new owner.

Just take out the turbo system from the new 2020 nissan altima vc turbo they have the same engine as the 2020 sentra they have the 2.0 but the 2020 altima is turbo 2.0

I wish they at least had an upgrade engine in the SR comparable to the turbo Civic. I've never really paid attention to Nissan but the design of the new Sentra gets my attention, but it would be such a dog in the hill country of Texas.

Great review(s) as usual. I lose interest in a car as soon as I know it's underpowered and/or as soon as I hear it has a CVT. That Sentra is a good looking car. The design is great. It's really too bad that so many Automakers are either cancelling cars altogether or are stuffing them with ever weaker engines in the name of efficiency. Boring isn't going to sell that well. I believe this would be a great car for someone to buy and replace the engine and transmission with something in the range of a 2.4 to 3.5 litre range, possibly turbocharged and with either a 6 speed manual or 8 speed Automatic. If it handles that well I am sure it would be a great car then.

I don't know why i'm telling you crow facts...could be Corona loneliness and no work to do on my car.

I think the sentra is really a city car, a daily driver kinda car with family in mind, you don't want something too fast but just enough to get you where you want to go without breaking the speed limit: (work, grocery store, pick up kids from school, gym, home) it's not bad.
A CVT that simulates shifting just gives me a headache.
They make absolutely no sense.

Had two sentras over the years. A 1992 xe and 2006 SER Spec V. No trouble with either one except paint quality after close to 150 thousand miles. Both had standard transmissions.

I've had no experience with Sentra (yet), but I have had three Nissan's in the last 12 years and only had to bring one of them back when a plastic cover came off under the passenger side of the car. And that's been about it. Nothing else has ever gone wrong with any of them.
I see almost everyone who reviews this car miss the hidden sport mode that really does alter the CVTs behavior for the best.
VC turbo is a high maintenance low durability design. Only car renters should drive these engines.
I hate electronic parking brake and also CVT. Really nice car but no manual transmission on a 3,100 + pounds 4 cylinder engine. Good for flats roads not good for the high mountains.
If they are in bed with Renault, then the chassis may be from the Megane. Putting the Megane engine in it would be awesome, but then youre competing with yourself. The Renault Megane is the performer, and known for being so... Everywhere except the US
I've watched a bunch of your reviews and have always wondered how tall you are? Not for creep reasons but I always see you mentioning how roomy or tight the back seats are but I have no gauge. You seem pretty tall in your videos but I don't want to assume?

There is a 6 speed manual transmission.....it's sold in Canada and Central and South America..it's a shame that for US market is not available....
More power means more fuel consumption...you have to understand the cost of building the car will increase..
B13 was back when Nissan was a lot more performance oriented. The commuter was willing to run with the big dogs and the SE-R would catch everyone off guard. They found out fast that the wing on that thing meant trouble. Its ability to corner was an added bonus. Nissan is almost there with this one, but it needs a true enthusiast drive train and a diet.
Actually, not a bad little compact. Agree it wd be better to have Mo Power, and possibly some add’l options performance-wise. There will always be drivers who don’t care about speed or perf and simply want a transpo vehicle, altho I think that’s missing out on some of what life offers. That Sentra looks better than the Altima. Who dropped the design ball on the Altima. It looks bigger too.

Have you tested the Kia Forte GT. If not you should test one. Awesome car.
