And for the purpose people like us have come up to save dry cows and male calves from getting slaughtered by establishing Gaurakshashalas in various cities (Haridwar, Gwalior, Barwah-Indore, and a couple of more). Our main motive is to serve such cows till their life. And by the support of people and our capacity we are able to save approximately 20000+ bovine and it's continuing. Our Gaurakshashala operates with names like Shri Krishnayan Gaurakshashala, Reva Bhagirathi Desi Gaurakshashala, Lal tipara Gaushala and more. Milking by machine s does not create any pain for cows and milk remains untouched of human hands from start to end .

@@MS.Paints Totally agree with you. It seems like there is no point of giving special treatment of one type of cow. However, it will help to increase awareness of animals. I agree that India is one of the biggest exporters of beef. But if you see it from a different perspective then there are already very high demand for beef meat in the market, guess what will happen if India stops exporting beef? They will shift to different market and slaughtering of a cow not occur in India then still it will slaughter somewhere else. So, there is the only option that increases awareness of people.

Let me tell u a very interesting fact More than ¾ of agriculture land is been used and consumed by those animals which a non vegetarian wich a nonvegitarian will eat in his only one particular meal. Since India was almost a complete vegan country we had more than enough land to feed ourselves and even aur A2 cows and use their milk to feed our poplulation in every form of sweets , and other dairy products. Here it is very much wrong to say that without A1 cow's milk we will be unable to feed our poplulation . Even if u talk about today , these A1 cows can be easily replaced by A2 cows if GOI make policies regarding welfare , protection and breeding of A2 cows. If we talk about business point of view then also you will find life span, consumer prefarance , milk quantity ,milk quality , milk convertibility quality differences between A2 and A1 doesn't result more of a profitability in rearing A1 cows. Except for the sake of contingency and mere luck you are feeding your A1 cow with whole lot of cheap garbage and through implantation (injection) you are generating a good lot of milk and somehow there is scarecity of milk , and you are willing to sell your cow to butcher in their unproductivity. Then might you result in a profitable venture. And here if you want give examples of any local milk vender practicing adulteration new you. Then let me tell u those milkman are not earning such a profit to be termed as a business venture. Moreover having some or all the conditions mentioned above.

For all those who talk about cows getting slaughtered once they can no longer give milk, should consider coming up with a plan and ask companies to implement it. People and companies are most likely to listen when there is a good plan. There is no denying that a sizable population is not going to stop drinking milk. So please stop being that guy who keeps shouting and put your energy into coming up with a plan that is economically viable and is in the best interest of Cows. One idea I can think of is to put an additional tax on milk like a rupee or so. This rupee is used for taking care of the cow when it gets old. This may not be the greatest idea. People have the power to come up with great ideas. Let's call this a start!
I also ponder upon this issue. Aside from these well managed corporate farms, large chunk of the cows are breed by individuals farmers who let the cow out in day time for urban grazing and expect them to find home back before day's over. So the issue and challenge we faced is two prompt: First how to distinguished cows from miking one to old abandoned one, out on the street.. Second how to set accountability of the owners in case cows hurt someone on the street or get hurt in the process.. Suggestions: -- Government make sure RFID and owner detail on the color compulsory.. -- Cows which getting old must be admissioned in registered gaushala Private or Public. -- owner has to shade 10% of new cow cost as one time fees to the gau shala.. -- If some one is ready to acquired old cow for leather or meat. Owner can decide upon whether to sell or not...
There is already an initiative started for this by a farmer who takes cows from other farmers who abandon the cows once they stop giving milk. He takes care of the cows uses their urine and cowdung to fertilize his farm and also use that to make products. He is also training others to do this.

I work voluntarily for animal welfare groups and have been able to rescue some and send them to Aarey cow sheds where the worst that happens is that they are left on the streets to feed themselves. visit Deonar and Dharavi areas someday if you are from Mumbai to now the truth.

And for the purpose people like us have come up to save dry cows and male calves from getting slaughtered by establishing Gaurakshashalas in various cities (Haridwar, Gwalior, Barwah-Indore, and a couple of more). Our main motive is to serve such cows till their life. And by the support of people and our capacity we are able to save approximately 20000+ bovine and it's continuing. I think you don't have any understanding of the topic . Cows are happy because of proper food , freedom , not being tied all the time , proper care and love . That improves milk yield and quality . Milking by machine s does not create any pain for cows and milk remains untouched of human hands from start to end .

May i come from any section, machine cant realise may be one in a thousand case but pain or any other problem cow has developed and for this you dont need to be daily doing that work. Totally agree with you. It seems like there is no point of giving special treatment of one type of cow. However, it will help to increase awareness of animals. I agree that India is one of the biggest exporters of beef. But if you see it from a different perspective then there are already very high demand for beef meat in the market, guess what will happen if India stops exporting beef? They will shift to different market and slaughtering of a cow not occur in India then still it will slaughter somewhere else. So, there is the only option that increases awareness of people.

1)Taking care of already born animals is not harm at all.
2) there is wholely compleate different industry(beef+ leather) who is responsible for boost in animal poplulation.

More than ¾ of agriculture land is been used and consumed by those animals which a non vegetarian wich a nonvegitarian will eat in his only one particular meal.
Since India was almost a complete vegan country we had more than enough land to feed ourselves and even aur A2 cows and use their milk to feed our poplulation in every form of sweets , and other dairy products.
Here it is very much wrong to say that without A1 cow's milk we will be unable to feed our poplulation .
Even if u talk about today , these A1 cows can be easily replaced by A2 cows if GOI make policies regarding welfare , protection and breeding of A2 cows.
If we talk about business point of view then also you will find life span, consumer prefarance , milk quantity ,milk quality , milk convertibility quality differences between A2 and A1 doesn't result more of a profitability in rearing A1 cows.
Except for the sake of contingency and mere luck you are feeding your A1 cow with whole lot of cheap garbage and through implantation (injection) you are generating a good lot of milk and somehow there is scarecity of milk , and you are willing to sell your cow to butcher in their unproductivity.
Then might you result in a profitable venture.
And here if you want give examples of any local milk vender practicing adulteration new you.
Then let me tell u those milkman are not earning such a profit to be termed as a business venture. Moreover having some or all the conditions mentioned above.

For all those who talk about cows getting slaughtered once they can no longer give milk, should consider coming up with a plan and ask companies to implement it. People and companies are most likely to listen when there is a good plan. There is no denying that a sizable population is not going to stop drinking milk. So please stop being that guy who keeps shouting and put your energy into coming up with a plan that is economically viable and is in the best interest of Cows.
One idea I can think of is to put an additional tax on milk like a rupee or so. This rupee is used for taking care of the cow when it gets old. This may not be the greatest idea. People have the power to come up with great ideas. Let's call this a start!
I also ponder upon this issue. Aside from these well managed corporate farms, large chunk of the cows are breed by individuals farmers who let the cow out in day time for urban grazing and expect them to find home back before day's over.
So the issue and challenge we faced is two prompt:
First how to distinguished cows from miking one to old abandoned one, out on the street..
Second how to set accountability of the owners in case cows hurt someone on the street or get hurt in the process..
Suggestions:
-- Government make sure RFID and owner detail on the color compulsory..
-- Cows which getting old must be admissioned in registered gaushala Private or Public.
-- owner has to shade 10% of new cow cost as one time fees to the gau shala..
-- If some one is ready to acquired old cow for leather or meat. Owner can decide upon whether to sell or not...
There is already an initiative started for this by a farmer who takes cows from other farmers who abandon the cows once they stop giving milk. He takes care of the cows uses their urine and cowdung to fertilize his farm and also use that to make products. He is also training others to do this.

This video is a joke. they say they dont use hormones. it is impossible to keep so many cows pregnant and child bearing without hormones. 1 cow can give birth to only one calf in 1 year and even cows have a gestation period of 9 months. If it is left for the cows to mate naturally and produce milk naturally such dairies will never make business !! they have to inject hormones for the the cows to produce more milk. Commercial dairy is only for profit making. the animal goes thru rape, hormonal injections, and extreme mental and emotional trauma as the new born calf is snatched away from her and starved to death or simply sent for slaughter. The female calves too are given hormone injections to "mature" early to be able to bear calves. Quit Dairy. use alternative milk options like Soy milk, cashew milk coconut milk which is fat more healthier and cruelty free.
@Aditya Singh Atleast ive not seen anything like that in Mumbai. Dharavi and Deonar have huge slaughterhouses and ive seen cattle lined up for slaughter. I work voluntarily for animal welfare groups and have been able to rescue some and send them to Aarey cow sheds where the worst that happens is that they are left on the streets to feed themselves. visit Deonar and Dharavi areas someday if you are from Mumbai to now the truth.
