It’s a great video. I would like to conclude like this : It’s not fair to expect the government to invest in every business model and generate employment. Love this gentleman. It’s your formal education and exposure to working in a MNC, that enables you to look at the various challenges and turn them into opportunities. Backwards integration and diversification is the way to minimize risk. With new technology and focus on supply chain is the only way forward in India. This gentleman was emphasizing on Quality and End user engagement rather than price. India is not a poor country, we should know how to market. There was nothing rocket science in this video. Same buisness was started by our neighbour farmer. He was working in some company made good money, came back to village and started this business. All jersey cow milk. He failed miserably within 12-15 months of starting this venture. He poured hell lot of money. Last time i checked him, he went bankrupt. Sold his land and relocating back to City.
what went wrong with your friend's venture ?
No business simply fails. IDK his exact situation but he should have tried to understand what exactly went wrong with his original plan and why and should try to solve that issue.

@@hackerrudransh2681 भाई देसी गाय का दो ब्यात में ब्याने का अंतर बहोत ज्यादा होता है, कभी कभी तो देसी गाय दो ब्यात में चार साल का भी वक़्त लेती है, मैंने देसी गाय भी रखी है और हाइब्रिड गाय भी है मेरे पास, आप सोचो अगर किसान के पास 10 देसी गाय है और उसमें से 4 गाय भी प्रेगनंट होने के लिए अगर 3/4 साल लेने लगी तो फिर उसको ख़िलाने पिलाने का खर्चा किसान कहा से करेगा, बाकी बची 6 गायोंके दूध को बेच के ही करेगा ना, वो 6 गाये भी कबतक फुल कैपेसिटी से दूध देगी, ज्यादा से ज्यादा 6/8 महीने, उसके बाद वो भी dry हो जाएगी, सभी dry animal अगर किसान संभालेगा तो उसका घर परिवार कहा से चलेगा, नसीहत देने वाले 150 रुपये प्रति लीटर दूध लेंगे क्या?, वैसे तो 150 रु प्रति लीटर के भाव से भी देसी गाय को संभालना practically बिल्कुल भी possible नही है, उसकी तुलना में हाइब्रिड गाय सही समय पे ग्याभन भी रहती है और dry period भी कम होता है, चाहे उसके दूध को 40 रु प्रति लीटर का भी भाव मिले, फिर भी उनकी दूध देने की क्षमता के कारण देसी गायो के मुकाबले पैसे कमा के देती है, आखिर हर कोई सेवा के लिए गाय तो नही पाल सकता ना, सेवा के लिए 1 या 2 गाय पालेगा इंसान, लेकिन 10/20 नही पाल सकता, ये असलियत भी है और हकीकत भी

1. What do you do when you get a male calf? Do you monitor it before it born or dispose it afterwards? Just curious
2. Along the same line, what do you do when Cow is not producing milk anymore, do you still keep the Cow around?
The reason I ask, I come from a farming family and grew up with lots of cows (and other animals) around and can't get out of emotional attachment to animals. Now that I'm a grown up man and have a good career, would probably consider switching career at some point in future, I have always been interested in this venture but always get stuck with finding answers for these questions.

Some observations -
Deepak ji says he left his IT/corporate job with thoughts of rural development in his mind. Very noble, सराहनीय।
But if everything is automated and he can employ just 10 people or so, does not that defeat the (rural)employment generation ideal?
Also - what can we say about automated handling of cows/bovines versus manual milking etc? Is automation always good?
Such dairies are not new in India - there have been many state of the art dairies in Rajasthan etc for a long time.
All said, best wishes to Binsar Dairy...we always need innovation and some local units in rural areas, esp agro-based...

Major problem in your thinking is that you are considering milk demand to be constant which is incorrect assumption.
The thing is, if system of milk production becomes more efficient and there is good competition, prices of milk will decrease. That means, poor people who now can't afford milk will be able to afford milk too. So, overall demand for milk will increase.
This is real growth brother. He is not government to employ everyone.

From Pakistan. comment. U ade good and informative video. But u totally neglect land. feeding crops and feeding detail preparation snd recipies of feed. consumption of feed per cow and per calf. How much land supporting this dairy farm and how many workers on this agriculture for feed. This shows u dont do any homework prior to interview or video. one complete and important sector u missed out.

And also how do the cows get pregnant ( the breeding process) and what happens to the male calves? Sab dhanda hai… gaay ka tab tak care hota hai, jab tak maal(rupiya) aata rahe.

They eat, cause cow is tasty, and life is full circle
The answer is same as to what farmers do in most of India . Once the cows grow old, they are sold off for slaughter i.e. meat and leather consumption. It's a win-win situation as there is meat supply for beef eaters and the farmers get some money to which they can contribute more and buy new cattle. The cycle thus goes on. When the beef ban in Maharashtra was levied, there were many interviews of (Hindu) farmers who were cursing the Govt as they had no option then to just let go their old cattle as they could not sell it for slaughter.
@@sallianz11 so much for “gaay mata”.. the dairy industry is a cruel one.. firstly enslave and exploit cows for milk and when the profit drops, sell her for slaughter. And people use the logic of care of cows in Vedic days to justify consuming milk in todays world.. people need to wake up.
