It's a real shame that throughout my 50+ years in my Christian walk that this level of insight, research, knowledge and wisdom (basically - the Truth) is no way near what comes from the pulpit and Bible studies in mainstream Christianity.

I believe that during our life the Lord does not want us to focus on things that are not made clear in the Bible but to focus on the task of letting the world know about Jesus and salvation and maturity in ou Christian walk.

At the 26 min. As someone who at one point in my life, when I was very dead, and long before I knew HIS love, flip God the bird and yelled at the top of my lungs that He didn't have the cojones to smite me. That He simply wanted to watch me suffer and didn't have it in Him to face me about all the injustices and wrongs. I was remarkably broken then and seeing that little flip off reminded me of how far HE is and has brought me and how God HIS Love IS!! I don't have to know your sins, I know my own, HE has loved me through them all! HE has been surprised by none of it and HE has been walking me through all of it! He will do the same for you, whoever you are reading this, it's just about getting into relationship with HIM! We get HIS will or we get our own we don't get both; not until our will is that HIS will would be done. And everytime we try to justify our actions or act in rebellion, every time we pull a Gideon, everytime we start doing the check list of everything you don't do when God is working amazing miracles in your life and all around you, see B'Midbar (Numbers) we're the same person flipping God the finger. We're the same bird-flipping moment. I say Bravo to you Brothers for doing it! I found myself saying more and more recently that The Sermon on the Mount is a Manifesto not a set of "would be nice if" and I pray for covering over you all as you continue to call out and speak up for what is right and what is true, I pray for your lives to be filled with abundant and joyful living shalom the permeates very cells of your beings in the marrow of your souls. In JESUS'S Name, Amen

A theme video on hell would be definitely very enlightening for us guys. All of your videos have been so far so good. I can’t even remember what year I found out about you guys. Well done guys. My life has also changed funny enough I hadn’t thought of it but you guys play a huge role in all that has transpired. I have achieved all my targets and have learnt so many lessons. I remember the clarity came fully from understanding the Bible fully. You covered the entire bible and made it clear to so many of us.
I even have a bible quiz game on the App Store and I achieved that by connecting with my young self. The things I loved and what I enjoyed most. I remember my parents used to get us bible quiz games regularly and I decided to take things digital hehe. I also perfected my programming skills using this quiz game as my first initial example based on interest.

A child wants to experience the parent’s
    warm heartfelt love, attention and
the parent wanting to consider the child thoughts & questions
has to be something the child wants to work toward.
This makes time outs & spankings more powerful.
    With that image in mind:
You don’t become a Christian so that you avoid hell.
You become a Christian to love the God who loves you
(by Jesus lovingly taking the punishment we should have had)
and you want to become more intimate with God.

I came on here because it's your most recent video. I really wanted to just say that I just found your page. yesterday I watched all 20 videos in your how to read the bible playlist. I just sat there and watched all of them in a row I couldn't stop. This page is so important lol
I truly feel like literally every single human on the planet should watch those videos ha ha
Literally every single question I've ever had about what the bible is exactly, and the origins of humanity, all of it. It immediately led me to watching the section you have on spiritual beings, elohim, angel of God, the satan, all of it. And it's like. Literally in one single night of sitting here watching your videos I learned the answer to every single question I've ever had. I've been trying and wanting to give my life to Jesus for so long I just was grasping at straws and I couldn't figure it out. I was right on the precipice of it all. I was so close to having the answers and being on the right track. And your videos are so eloquent, simple, beautiful, intelligently and very carefully crafted. it is very obvious that you guys tried to take as much care in the animations and the words you are using as the biblical authors did themselves.
This is seriously such a beautiful thing. God bless you all and your mission. Thank God for reaching out to me through this channel. God will take and use the works of evil for good. And while social media and the internet has become a dwelling place for dark people and dark things... God still uses it in his name for greatness. Incredible. I am about to watch every single video you and your team have put out it's all so important.

This sessions really brought to mind how afraid people are of going to Hell. Meaning to me that that is the true/only motivation people can have to love God. There HAS to be more to it than that. That’s why it’s really important for me not to focus on Hell. I want to focus on my relationship with God and growing in love for Him because of who He is to me, what he has done for me in my life, and the transformation he’s done in me as a direct result of coming to the truth of Him. I also hope to do for Him as He will have me.
I’m really interested in understanding scripture the way the Jews did prior to Jesus’s arrival here in earth and the way the 1st century Christians understood it. I feel over time, we’ve begun to have a corrupt view of God. Just a bit. Our motivation should not and could not be just not going to Hell. That’s not love, that’s fear. I hope I expressed this in a way people can understand.

    • @voidremoved
      @voidremoved Рік тому +1

That is my feeling about it too. While it is wise to fear God... And it is wise to fear "hell"... Its like, imagine any time you go outside. Go to the store to get cookies, but you are not thinking about going to the store to get cookies. Instead you choose to worry about all the bad things that could happen if you go outside. You might get hit by a car, robbed, attacked by stray cats, sunburn, trip and fall...
That is against Jesus' advice, That is like looking for snakes in the grass when your eyes should be up on the bronze snake Moses lifted...
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be. So if your focus is on hell, there your heart will be! Thats why I personally believe some people will sleep after death, and await the last day to rise and be judged. While some, who give their whole heart, even like the thief on the cross... Can awaken and not go to sleep

Everyone who does goes to hell. Hell is Hebrew is Sheol which is the abode of the dead, the grave. It’s really quite sad how mainstream Christianity tells people they’re going to heaven or hell when scripture paints a completely different picture. I’m John it’s explicitly said that no man has entered heaven except for Jesus. He is the only human being to ascend into Gods dwelling place.

If you read in the OT what death is, you'll notice that it is the absent of life. Fortunately Jesus showed us the way and shows us what all of humanity will receive (rom5:19). Lazarus will inherent the kingdom and the spirtual leaders wont. They had the prophets and yet they did not understand. They wouldnt and didnt believe even after the dead (Jesus and Lazarus) were raised. That is the truth Jesus was showcasing. It had not anything to do with hell. Think about it, wouldnt it be weird to be able to see into hell and that hell can communicate with those in heaven? I am sure yall have heard thay Luke 23:43 verse described as , " Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise" , with the comma after today, it changes the meaning. The way I heard it described is we don't know for sure , but they would not have had punctuation like a comma there at all in the Hebrew. Either way we will still be with him in paradise, but is it the day we die, or eventually. Something to think about.

Even Jesus wasn't in paradise in the day he died. He was at rest. Resting on the Sabbath day. On Saturday. He rose on Sunday, which was the third day, He rose and didn't enter paradise until he ascended. So the thief on the cross still, even now, awaits Jesus' return. As all who are righteous. Awaiting the return of Jesus.

I think that commonly referring to the gathering (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18) and glorification (1 Corinthians 15:51-53) of the body of Christ as the "rapture" and Daniel's 70th week as the "tribulation" is what makes many people think that believers will be here for it. Neither of those words are in the Bible but the concepts certainly are.
Paul tells us we will suffer tribulations but he doesn't warn us about Daniel's 70th week or the Day of the Lord in any of his epistles. In fact, Paul tells us to look forward to the Day of Christ (Philippians 1:10, 2:16) or Day of the Lord Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:8, 5:5, 2 Corinthians 1:14) as our day of redemption rather than to fear the day of the Lord as a day of judgement. The only time Paul says "Day of the Lord" is when he is telling the Thessalonians how sudden destruction will come upon "them", referring to unbelievers. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3)
Peter, as the apostle to the circumcision (Galatians 2:7-8) representing the remnant of Israel preached the Day of the Lord (2 Peter 3:10-12). It's not for us as the body of Christ.

Dear Bibleproject people, I really enjoy your video's and they made me look at the Bible in a differant way... I would like to explain to you how I understand what happens after death... I appologise this is going to be a long post but my hope is that you would take the time to read it and maybe even give me a comment back if you think that "there might be something to it" or if you think that I am way off...
To expain how I think about death I'm going to use computer analogy...
The Bible says that we as humans consist of 3 things... God created Adam from the dust of the earth, so the physical body (the hardware of a computer), then he breathed the breath of life into that body (the powersource/electricity), and then he became a living soul (kind of the software because that's differant on every computer)...
So what happens when we die, well this is how I understand the Bible... The body (or hardware), goes back to the earth (ashes to ashes, dust to dust), the breath of life (or electricity/powersourse) goes back to God, and the soul (your identity or software) goes to sheol (so it's like it's transfered to a external harddrive where everybody who ever lived is stored)
In sheol we are cut off from a powersourse so we are in an unconcious state (so we don't feel, hear, smell, see, or have any concept of time passing by) like the Bible says it's like sleep...
I believe we stay on that external harddrive untill the ressurection... At the ressurection our software will be pulled off off the external harddrive and put into a new computer (our new eternal bodies) and God will give us back our breath of life (so the will turn back on the powersourse to bring us back to life)
We will be judged at some point and those that are deemed unricheous/wicked, their software will stay on that external harddrive, and then that harddrive will be destoyed in the lake of fire...
I do have to strongly disagree with one thing you mentioned a couple of times in various video's and that is a quote of jesus when he speaks to the criminal crucified next to him...
you claim multiple times that Jesus says: Today you will be with me in paradise.... However that is not the whole quote and that's actually not what he is saying...
Jesus says: Surely I tell you today,,,, (in other words: I tell you right now),,, you will be with me in paradise...
Jesus never claims the criminal will be with him in paradise that exact same day, that criminal has to wait for the ressurection just like the rest of us...
From what I understand of the original hebrew/greek tekts, they don't know the concept of the comma... so your understanding of that quote changes wether you put the comma before the word Today, or if you place the comma after that word...
But because we are in an unconious state in sheol, when we will be ressurected it will feel for us like it's the same day that we died because we had no concept of time passing in sheol...
Do you guys think my understanding of death is OK, or do you totally disagree?
please excuse my bad English (it's my 4th language)...
    Thanks, Martin

(Romans 3:1-2) What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto THEM were committed the ORACLES(word) of God
(Amos 2:11) And I raised up of YOUR SONS for PROPHETS, and of YOUR young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye CHILDREN OF ISRAEL? saith the Lord
(Amos 3:7) Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his SERVANTS the prophets
(Deuteronomy 29:29) The SECRET things belong unto the Lord OUR God: but those things which are revealed belong UNTO US and to OUR children FOREVER
(Psalm 147:19-20) He sheweth his WORD(bible) unto Jacob, his statutes and his JUDGMENTS(law) unto ISRAEL he hath NOT DEALT so with ANY NATION: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord

    Proverbs 31:8-9
Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.
    Zechariah 7:9
Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another,
    Jeremiah 7:5
For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another,
    John 13:35
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
    1 John 2:10
Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.
    1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.
    1 Corinthians 13:1-2
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
    1 John 4:8
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
    1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
    John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

This is my take on marriage in “Heaven” or actually the new creation when the resurrection happens.
Ok. This goes deeper but I’m going to try and keep it short and simple. Matthew 22:23-33, Luke 20:27-40.
We normally look at this and think it’s pretty simple Sadducees ask about marriage in the resurrection and Jesus says no marriage in the resurrection. Case closed. But this lacks understanding of the historical context. Let me explain.
The Sadducees asked Jesus about a “Levirate marriage” in which according to the Law of Moses if a man marries a woman and he dies having no seed his brother could raise up seed in his place. Well, when the Sadducees asked Jesus about this they were thinking, “How can the resurrection be true, if us coming back to this life we would be under Moses’ Law, therefore with this law still standing, it creates a problem.”
    However, Jesus’ response:
“For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” -Matthew 22:30.
“Neither marry, nor are given in marriage” is an idiom used to describe how marriages worked based upon the Law of Moses.
“But are as the angels of God in heaven” meaning the angels are under God’s Law not Moses’ Law.
So we will be like the angels of God in heaven, not being under Moses’ Law, but God’s Law.
Therefore the Law God set forth in the Garden of Eden before the Fall concerning Adam and Eve being joined together as one and to be fruitful and multiply will still be in place.
I’ll be honest, when I first read this passage when I was a teenager I thought we were going to lose our male and female parts. Lol But as time has progressed and in these recent years God has given me the understanding of this passage as well as continuing to give me more understanding of His Word.
Also, if the Sadducees were concerned about marriage then they would have simply asked who will Jacob be married to Leah or Rachel?
And if Jesus was responding about Marriage as in the Garden, the He would have said something like, there will be no more man leaving his father and mother and being joined unto his wife. Like we see He did in Matthew 19:4-6.
What God creates and His Laws that He gives last forever. Ecclesiastes 3:14.
One more thing, when a husband and wife get married they don’t go and stare at each other forever, no, they do things together.
So it will be with us and God, it’s not about just standing there singing praises. It’s about creating with Him and ruling with Him for all eternity.

I think there is a whole lot of confusion in the explanation of the speaker. To say that God made hell as a place to respect wishes of the rebellious is False! So you mean that God also respected Satan's wish for rebellious in heaven to want to put him unto hell. I don't agree .
So if God isn't wanting to judge people, why did he destroy world in days of Noah! Why was it so important to allow Jesus to come die in the world, when all he wants to do was to create a place in the new heavens and new earth and allow the disobedient people stay there because they chose too.
This discussion today appears like a fallacy with no scriptural text to back it by errors to puncture what we believe in our faith! I have read through the bible several times and I can be confused by your discussion today.

How could He have been in Paradise that day with the thief?
In fact the scriptures state he was in the heart of the earth Mat_12:40, proclaimed to spirits in prison (Sheol/Tartarus) 1Pe 3:18-20 and had not ascended to His Father (Joh_20:17) in the heavens. His Father did not give him a resurrected body (the one he has now) for 3 days and also the thief does not yet have a resurrected body - and he won't until the first resurrection and at THAT time we will be like him and be with him where he is.
Also, paradise (a walled garden - sound familiar?) aka Zion, New Jerusalem, Eden is in the third heaven (Gal_4:26) still barren (Isa. 49+54) and will be until we are collectively born from above when Jesus returns for us. When she descends at the BEGINNING of the kingdom (Rev 21) then she will be adorned with her children who were resurrected at the 7th trumpet of Revelation.
So where is the thief now? From the scriptures please.
Our Messiah says of Lazarus and the rich man clearly where they are and the state of their souls Luk_16.

I’m sorry, I don’t believe Jesus told the thief that he would be in paradise with him today. for one thing, Jesus did not go to paradise or heaven that day. What Jesus was saying is today I tell you, you will be with me in paradise. It is not said what day they will be in paradise together. There needs to be a ( , )put in the right place to have the correct meaning.

Jesus ( peace be upon him ) was a messenger of The One True God sent to the lost sheep of Israel by The One True God to remind them to worship only The One True God turning away from all else ( idolatry sexual immorality oppressing the weak corruption in earth and so on ) like all the other messengers sent by The One True God... no need to complicate the narrative when it’s so simple and beautiful and speaks to ur conscience harmoniously doesn’t go against common sense
“We certainly sent a messenger to every community, saying, "You shall worship GOD, and avoid idolatry ( any false object of worship - anything other than The One & Only God ) ." Subsequently, some were guided by GOD, while others were committed to straying. So Roam the earth and note the consequences for the rejectors“ [Quran:surah An-Nahl 16:36]
“ he ( Jesus ) was nothing but a servant ( of God ) whom We blessed and made an example for children of Israel “ [ Quran : surah zukhruf 43:59 ]
“ and (mention) when Jesus the son of Mary said, ‘O children of Israel, I’m a messenger of Allah ( God ) to you confirming what came beefier me of The Torah and bringing good news of a messenger to come after me named Ahmad ( another name of Muhammad the seal of all prophets the last messenger to be sent for salvation for all mankind ) but when he came to them with clear self-evident proofs , they said ‘ this is obvious magic ‘ ‘“ [ Quran : surah saff 61:6]
“O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a spirit from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, "Trinity." You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is above all imperfections to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the skies and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master “ [ Quran : surah Nisa 4:171]
I love Jesus the true Jesus just like I love Abraham the real Abraham ( not the fabricated stories about him in bible ) just like I love Moses just like I love Muhammad May peace and blessings be upon them all all praise and gratitude belongs to The One True God , Master/Owner/nourisher of all His creation
