Haven't seen the other video. But I'd say Supression Field deserves a spot as a great stax piece for activated habilities. It doesn't prevent your opponent from using outlets for infinite mana. But between taxing fetches, thrassios activations, Magda artivations, stopping basalt monolith combos and many others, it's been a really nice inclusion for my mono white decks. I can see it being good in a Winota list too as it doesn't use many activated habilities for its gameplan

I can definitely see what you mean- it hits a decent variety of things for a reasonable price. The data for the suite guides all comes from the DDB- at the time it wasn't included in any lists, unless I just missed it.

@@RecurringInsight I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the DDB at the time

I love this a idea that would help newer players that dont have all the commanders memerized you should have a photo of the commander card when you mention said card. So when I see a commander I can have a better idea on what their deck is planing on doing so I can become a better cEDH player.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried teaching someone magic recently and realized just how much I take for granted as basic info. I definitely need to be more intentional about showing the cards for newer plays.

Blind Obedience should see so much more play, in my opinion. It stops Dockside Extortionist combos, it punishes turbo Naus decks from generating mana post Naus because of their reliance on mana rocks, and it locks out Kiki-Jiki combos with everything but Village Bell-Ringer. It also delays Godo by a turn too. And on top of that, it's an outlet for infinite casting of a spell, like in Cloudstone Curio decks, Dockside decks, or Ashaya/Quirion Ranger decks.

I hadn't thought of it as an outlet for curio lines. That's neat! On the same note, I like authority of the consuls mostly because it is just one mana. But it is more restricted to decks that want to keep creatures tapped with static orb or storage matrix, I'd say. Because not affecting artifacts is a real downgrade

How do you play staxs in non white colors such as Green Black Bule, I'm looking into building Jorn god of winter as a stax build

Hi! Is Mayhem devil played, or is it in consideration for this list? It feels like a strong value piece, but hoses some creature based strategies too. And you can cooperate with the table to use it effectively.

Honestly, Mayhem Devil was cut from the video while I was in the middle of recording. It hits 16.67 inclusion, but it seemed to exclusively see play as a combo piece, despite also serving as a stax piece, albeit a poor one.
Realistically, since Goblin Bombardment is in the same kind of situation, I should have included it, but at the time it didn't feel like the stax part of Mayhem Devil had enough pull to warrant its inclusion.
