One note about scepter lines, in the decks I play and read about, scepter is more about being an untapping combo than a mana combo. It mills with grinding station, allows emry lines to function, and draws your library with Jace and sensei's top. Overall great video and I enjoyed it! Just thought this extra utility was worth mentioning.
Thats fair, of the decks that Scepter is run in, about 18% win with it by untapping something (give or take a bit, the decklist database has been updated since I gathered the data). I'm actually running it in a Jacob deck for that exact reason. Great point!
I just came across your channel a few days back and I am happy to say its already one of my favorites! It also fills a concise and efficient educational niche that is often left to the wayside by the cedh community. Keep it up!
You might want to mention hullbreaker horror in the tidespout tyrant section. It's likely that most of the database decks just haven't been updated with it yet since it was released.
Hullbreaker Horror is uncounterable, has some protection built in and enables infinite mana with mana positive rocks. Yes it's 7 mana, but so is PITA. It's also never a dead card provided you can cast it.
That's a fair point. I said that because of how difficult it was to cast due to the mana cost, but you're right, it's not a dead card. If it lands it can provide massive amounts of value in addition to its combo potential.
Hey all, so apparently I have not left the days of needing a correction comment behind me. If anybody sees anything else, please let me know! For the Tidespout Tyrant section, Hullbreaker Horror is a strictly better option- it costs one blue mana less, is uncounterable if you ever actually cast it, and can serve as stack interaction as well. A decent amount of decks that run Dramatic Scepter run it not just for the infinite mana, but because it also infinitely untaps nonland permanents. Also, I have the wrong Squee in the Food Chain section- it should be Squee, the Immortal, not Squee, Goblin Nabob.
Nice work, thank you for that. Got one question about Breach Combo. I Often see "Infinite Mana, Infinite ETB" etc, but you'll just mill yourslef so you can just use it a limited amout of time ... Or i Miss something u_u ?
It doesn't need to be infinite. The 2 main finishers are thoracle, and brainfreeze. You can just mill your deck out with breach combo, then escape throacle and win. Or, you can loop brainfreeze to get the storm count to 30+, at which point you just shoot it at each of your opponents milling them out.
Somebody did already let me know, although I still can't believe I did that. I've already updated the correction comment to reflect that. Thanks for taking the time and I'm glad you liked it!
Although the information is great, the editing in this video is quite poor. You dont have time to read the cards and instead of explaining what the cards do, the narrator talks about how often the combos are placed in decks (and is an extra distraction for understanding the combo's shown).
This is such a great channel. Glad you're back making videos
Thanks a lot! Glad to be back.

Excellent point, I think I started gathering the data before Crimson Vow came out. I'll post a correction comment.

@@themccannman Ok, feel more like an asset to mill your deck to find the real combo then.
Thx
super usefull. keep it up!
Helm of obedience and dauthi voidwalker or rest in peace
Dauthi Voidwalker would be a much better second half, but the only deck I saw running Helm didn't have black in its CI.
On the Food Chain section you are using the wrong Squee :D
Well dang, that's a facepalm right there. Thanks for the heads up!
wrong squee at 15:48....good video tho
