I was bitten by a Horsefly once at the beach when I a kid. It hurt like hell and I had to go to the lifeguard station for some pain ointment. People have every right to fear/hate them!!!
I got bit by one of them at the park (it was an unusually muggy day) while I was walking with my mom. Them mfers HURT
Grandma kisses episode was funny. Spongebob is being a grown-up to his grandma and Patrick likes being a baby. My favorite part is when Spongebob turns into a water sprinkler. No matter what, we all loved our grandmas in our hearts

A lot of people I've seen don't like the Grandmas Kisses episode, and I think the only problem with it is the ending with everyone still laughing at Spongebob, if they ended it with them crying at the realization that Spongebob was just being loved I think the episode would be held up higher.
But in my opinion its a pretty good episode.

yeah i don't get why they still laughing at the end, to me it isn't as satisfying if they are still laughing like school children.
The Wormy episode had messed me up for a good few years when I saw it as a kid. Whenever I saw close up pictures of bugs the sound would be in my head and I would recoil in fear. It used to be a pretty big problem.

I remember in first grade when we raised caterpillars that turned into monarch butterflies. I cant exactly remember how many were able to emerge but it was a fun experience.
Fun fact: That live-action shot of Wormy isn't a butterfly. It's a Horsefly.

The wormy closeup will forever terrify me. Others find it as a comedic gag, but not for me!!!
Grandma's Kisses was almost a perfect episode. I hate how squidward and the other fish folks treated SpongeBob. I wished SpongeBob's Grandma taught those assholes a lesson!
That wormy closeup was exactly what banned this episode in some countries.

Wormy and Squidville are some of my favorite episodes. SpongeBob and Patrick make Squidward's happiness special without them it's not special, it's not happy. And this 🦋😂
Butterflies ate my favorite insects. I remember the caterpillar assignment we did in elementary school, where we had to take care of caterpillars, and watch them turn into butterflies. It was always fascinating watching them fly away at the end of the assignment
My third grade and kindergarten (I think) classes both raised Painted Ladies. Loved hanging out in the butterfly tent with them

I really like the Patty Hype episode because not only SpongeBob’s idea “Pretty Patties” was actually a really good idea, but it was also such a great idea he became more successful than Mr. Krabs ever was. I was really proud of SpongeBob in that episode, and how successful he became with his idea. 😊
It's a good thing that Wormy the monarch butterfly was able to attain an air bubble to survive outside of Sandy's air-filled treedome. Hopefully, Sandy eventually clarified to everyone (especially SpongeBob and Patrick) that the "flying monster" IS Wormy - thus, he was never a worm at all.
Also, in Patty Hype, I think that the mentioned talking dog at the Shell Shack is likely wearing a suba suit just like Sandy.
And yes, you don't have to be a baby to get your grandmother's love. Oh yeah, and the guest star is Marion Ross as Grandma SquarePants.
As for Tentacle Acres, the gated community for Squidward's species of octopus, I certainly would not want to live there with grumps everywhere.
It also cracks me up when Patrick says to the fire hydrant "That's okay, take your time."
The Pretty Patties episode aged very well because Burger King actually (kinda) creates pretty patties. They had a black one for Halloween and a red one to promote Across the Spider-Verse.
It’s interesting that BK likes to get creative with their food products unlike other restaurants, as they mostly promote things with toys, hand puppets, etc.

Pretty Patties is a top 5 for me! It’s been so fun revisiting these episodes. The early episodes really are the best.

Squidward and the others were just jealous that Spongebob has an awesome grandmother. She drives a CAR despite her old age. So, yeah, they were clearly jealous.
I love the Patty Hype episode better because I love how Spongebob created the idea, but mr krabs and Squidward laugh at his idea. Finally, Spongebob idea works until the Pretty Patties idea gone wrong. 👍

I always enjoy listening to the tune that plays during the Wormy chase scene (“Twelve Street Rag”). It’s actually one of my favorite music tracks from SpongeBob.🙂

Believe it or not, that insect face that you are seeing is actually a close up of a horsefly's face.
I do wonder... did spongebob deliberately made the pretty patties just to get back at Mr. Krabs for not listening to him after saying "Mr. Krabs I have an idea" so many times

To this day i still cant watch most of the episode "Wormy"...
That episode is the reason I'm terrified of most insects. Im 21 years old, and I always have to turn away from the closeups. The rest of the episode once the closeups are over IS hilarious. I still laugh at the town going into chaos over a little butterfly, and then Sandy just coming back and putting it in the jar, but this episode rubbed me the wrong way as a kid, and im glad im not alone here...
Even though I'm not scared of butterflies and I love them I was afraid of that butterfly.
Pretty Patties was mainly a success because Spongebob was also refunding the customers for every purchase.
That's why it failed under Krabs' ownership.

Sorry if I skip a majority of the video, but I still jump whenever Wormy comes on and then change the channel accordingly. That horsefly close-up did irreparable damage to my fragile little mind. One thing most comments forget to mention is that horseflies can grow to the size of your thumb, and they BITE. Hard. Like them MFers hurt when they get you. But that's really all they do, like they don't carry diseases in their bites or nothing... They're just real freaky close up

I also had a school project where we had caterpillars turn into butterflies, and we kept them in jars not unlike wormy's.
My favorite all-time episode is pretty patties, the equivalent to a pretty petty to me is a macaroon, they come in a variety of different colors and different flavors plus they look exactly like a pretty Patty!!!
I’ve always think grandma‘s kisses were always such a good thing never be embarrassed by that I had a really good grandmothers, but unfortunately, the one grandma on my mother side I passed away in 2018 the same year my mother passed away and then my grandmother on my father side passed away last year, cherish your grandma’s always because you never know when their time will come. 😢❤
Since Squidville comes after Grandma's Kisses, you could say that in Squidville, Squidward got his karma when his house was destroyed by SpongeBob after he humiliated SpongeBob in the previous episode lol

The Snail bob episode didn't scare me as a kid. It was the wormy episode for me. I still don't like bug eyes or sounds. Haha. On the pretty patty episode, Burger King tends to do a lot of different colored burger buns on occasion, and I usually love those.

I wish someone would have made fun of me for my closeness with my Grandma. She was the sweetest most kind-hearted person in the world not only to me but to everyone she knew. And everyone in her life only took advantage of her or took her for granted. She was my whole world. She died in 2019. It was unexpected and I didn't even get to say goodbye. I've had a pretty terrible life but no trauma in my life up until that point was nearly as painful as losing her and no trauma I've had since then has even come close to being as painful. She really was the best Grandma anyone could ever have. If someone ever gave me a rough time for being close to her I'd be in prison for murder right now. 😠😭
I, for one do not enjoy the episode, “Grandma’s Kisses.” My one reason is because of the way Squidward and the restaurant customers were treating SpongeBob and the relationship he has with his grandmother. The worst part is that they don’t get punished for their behavior. Had this episode gone in another direction by giving those guys what they deserved, I may have forgiven the episode as a whole.
Yeah the issue I had with the episode was how they were making fun of him due to only SpongeBob being kissed by his grandmother, especially at the end.
It means that even adults shouldn’t receive affection from them anymore which is bad. Even though I liked how SpongeBob decided against it.
