Thank you for reacting on BTS😊
Based on the following quote from a famous ballerina
"A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.” - Martha Graham
Even though it's not ethos as far as I know, someone else mentioned that the ocean metaphor is very important in this song. As you sink into the ocean, light and sound fades as the pressure builds and it starts to crush you. This could be BTS's poetic way of not only speaking about writer's block but also the pressure that an album MUST be done within a certain time frame and how all their creativity has been drained.
BTS has released over 30 albums (including mini-albums) within 10 years. The 30+ doesn't include their solo releases. I definitely don't know how they do it since they take part in the writing and production of most of their songs. Even though they get assistance from in-house and outside producers, they try to do as much as possible themselves when working with producers. Plus there's several songs (group & solo projects) that they did all the writing and production themselves. RM was the main lyricist for Black Swan.
Thanks for your reaction! 💜💜
one of my fav song ever... thanks
bro plss react to some kanyeeee
With "Black Swan," BTS divulge their most harrowing shadow yet, one that any person who lives for making art faces: losing the passion for creating.
"A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." Martha Graham. This quote is at the root of the sentiments inlaid in "Black Swan." Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death.
RM sings, "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death."
Once again, BTS affirm that despite their countless record-breaking accolades, the wealth they've amassed, and their ever-increasing fame, they are artists. What means most to them is the art - music, visuals, dances - that they create.
