Just to let you know, they are not stuck in the snow globe. The movie plays out like a twisted version of A Christmas Carol. There are hints throughout the film. The biggest is the movie playing. Also, the snow globe is used for Krampus to keep tabs on families. Very little is known about them, whether they're families Krampus visits or just all families of the world.
So the snow globe is just Krampus keeping an eye on them after giving them a second chance. Just like how Santa watches us when we sleep and are awake, etc. Had he not given them a second chance he would have killed the family and let the kid live to teach him a lesson like he let the Grandma live to teach her a lesson.
@@DanielSelk Alright I just finished the comic that supposedly confirmed the "happy" ending. The person who wrote that on imdb has no clue what they are talking about. Not only does it not say for sure that the townspeople are alive and well even if they are there is no confirmation that the family in the film aren't in the snowglobe. I don't think the ending is ambiguous at all. There are trapped in the globe. There is no coming back once hope has been abandoned.
@@SunshineLoLypops the grandma had a different outcome than the boy. Explain that? She lived only. The boy learned his lesson. Krampus is watching from afar in the end. If Krampus refused the happy ending he would have just taken the family and left the boy by himself like the grandmother.
@@DanielSelk You're making a logical fallacy. Just because the main character wasn't left doesn't mean the happy ending is true. Krampus took the entirety of the grandmothers town except her. This time he took every single person.
Hey man, woman, gender free term , I noticed you had no replies so I decided to be the first. I know I’m a year late but I just replied cause I was looking for a comment about Matilda
Merry Christmas Dude. I am so glad that you loved it. To answer some of your questions A: According to a tie-in comic book, it is believed that the ending means that Krampus is merely keeping an eye on the family to make sure they don't lose the Christmas spirit again, not dragging them to hell. B: The reason Krampus's jaw is open is because it is not his actual jaw: It is a dead man's face he wears as a mask. He is merely an imitation, a shadow, if you will, of Santa Claus.
20:24 You can’t kill Krampus, in their situation that’s like saying “hey let’s go kill God” And Krampus winked like he was saying “you got your wish” And Krampus was wearing a mask to hide his true monstrous face
It wasnt one family that brought this on. It was society, which is why they showed you the Christmas shopping at the beginning. I always assumed that they are stuck in purgatory. They are indeed dead but stuck in a snow globe.
I love watching people's first time reactions to this movie, when it gets to the part at the end where Max wakes up in his bed and they think it was all just a dream hahah the consistent disappointment is so funny to me
Krampus goes after the neighborhood because they were all rich and dysfunctional like Max’s family. Max losing hope and ripping up his letter to Santa was the loss of any true Christmas spirit that was left in their uptight wealthy neighborhood which finally summoned Krampus.
hi so for your question about who is krampus. while in most of the world christmas is known to be happy, jolly and santa related, in germanic and slavic countries not so much... according to folklore krampus is actualy a subordinate of santa. christmas was about getting what you deserved if you were good you got a visit from santa if you were bad you had to deal with krampus. when someone was bad he was visited by krampus and was offered 3 alternatives: 1.krampus will eat him 2.krampus will drag him to hell 3. krampus will beat him with his stick. if you chose the beating krampus will take out his stick and whip and start hitting you in this choice you dont die but you have to promise to krampus you will be better until next christmas or krampus will come back and drag you to hell. hoping this was helpful❤
oh god the mother i just noticed she played as the mom in hereditary, every time i see her i think of that one scene. the dude with the red hat played in achrorman2, the guy at 4:55 played in step bother as will ferrells brother in it lol
The Steelers are an American football team from Pittsburgh. And Snoopy is the dog from Charlie Brown that sleeps on top of the doghouse. Charlie is his owner
I could imagine the kid when he grows up trying to team up with his uncle and create weapons that can harm krampus to protect people who don't celebrate Christmas or even try to capture krampus and give him to the government
I read a book about Krampus a long time ago and I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly the snowmen were Krampus's victims and it seems pretty implied that it's the case for the movie as well
First krampus the A is pronounced as an uh. Second krampus is a half demon half goat being of old German pagen mythology that comes to punish children and bring them to the underworld
Krampus is my favorite Christmas movie ever, and one of my favorite horror movies - ironically another is Trick R Treat, made by the same people! Guess they're my kind of folks.
No, Krampus didn't trap them in a snow globe. lol That was a way for him to keep a watch on the homes he visited. And the Christmas ball was a confirmation all that stuff actually happened. They all got a second chance and woke. If they were trapped in the snow globe, you wouldn't be seeing the neighborhood homes.
Saw this movie when it released in cinemas years ago. Was such a fun time. Gonna go watch it now actually. 😂 Love you Alex! Your baby is so cute!! Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄💖
I wonder if civilization ended would krampus still hunt people since technically they wouldn't be able to keep track of the dates and celebrate Christmas
Since I don't have a Patron, I'll make my recommendation here: I got a recommendation for you since you've watched Krampus, which is one of my favourite horror movies, I recommend watching a good UA-camr's Resident Evil 7: The Movie (English version) and Resident Evil Village: The Movie. These are done by Coldshade. I would love to see your reaction to those movies in the near future, since they are canon to the franchise and my favourite Resident Evil game movies. I'm pretty sure Coldshade wouldn't mind you doing one of these reactions to it. Be sure to credit them for the clips. Maybe, you'll see some similarities between a certain character in those movies with Michael Myers. And merry Christmas to you. 😀
I mean I'm German, she said 21:57: es kommt niemand Means: no one will come Merry Christmas Alex to you and your smily daughter :) I have a special Place in my Heart for Adam Scott tho, UA-cam "Adam Scott luke Skywalker" and you know what I mean. Loved your scream and Halloween series and will stick around from now.
Yes! More people need to see Toni Collette Krampus! There was another “scarier” Krampus film that came out at the same time and overshadowed it iirc. This is the good one!

Matilda looks so cute smiling! Krampus is a rad Santa. Happy Christmas to you and your family, Pugg!
Krampus is wearing a Santa costume(the old man face is a mask), I imagine it looks like a goat demon under there.
That's what I would assume considering that's what the mythology says that he's a half demon half goat being
I thought he k worded santa and took his skin
So the snow globe is just Krampus keeping an eye on them after giving them a second chance. The Mathilda wholesomeness at the beginning of this helped dampen some of the terror! She's so dang precious.

Basically Santa if he was like F them kids.
Omg, the baby! You could have posted all 20 minutes of her and I would still have watched the whole thing.
Have an awesome Christmas brother, and a big thank you for all the dope reactions this year 🔥💯
Asking why Santa isn't helping is like asking why isn't a God stepping in to stop human dilemma caused by their own hands 😂
