"The dog was provoked" not really - had that been Cady reaching beneath the fence instead of M3GAN, that still would have been a mauled child's arm, and in *much* worse condition than M3GAN wound up being. Also, the R-rated version apparently showed the dog's death, and even the creators liked the effect of removing that better than the original. And yes, M3GAN has a physical actress for the movement scenes as well as an actual animatronic for the stationary ones.

I went to see it January 8th and I saw it again. Then I seen it 5 times and I absolutely love this movie. ❤ ❤This is a movie that is so more damn good, you have to love the character herself for being, a bit scary, funny and can touch your heart (to make you cry). Unlike most horror icons, M3gan is the perfect example of balancing her personality and the movie (and never tries too hard to be over the top like Chucky and Freddy Krueger or being underrated like Candyman). And the fact that this is a PG 13 which is rare for a killer doll film (normally they would be rated R), but M3gan breaks this tradition and it feel more ground breaking for the horror/sci fi film. It's not all about drugs, sex, gore or vulgar language that most horror flick shouldn't be, it's about balancing the story that makes it work. This mostly was enjoyable to say the least, it was more of a thriller. I just love the character M3gan to bits (hope it's not too late to make her feel good in the sequel to give her a better protocol and to fix an exploding circuit). It's not a scary movie, but M3gan was a cinnamon roll who carried the film until the very end.

Everyone seems to keep forgetting the dog tried to attack the kid while she was still in the car when she just arrived. It does not care if you are in its territory as long as there isnt any adults around. Plus the dog has to have been the one that chewed that hole in the fence to begin with
Cole and Tessa were not killed. They were merely incapacitated. Offing them was not necessary, but she needed them distracted. You can see them before credits role. Cole looks very annoyed to need an oxygen mask. M3GAN is only weak to water if it gets inside her. The glass tore her neck covering, which let water into her circuitry.
