This might be s stupid question, but I’m really curious...Do you have to design the icons and visuals? Or a graphic/visual designer give you all the things you need and you just put them together? Please let me know, thank you!
Hey, I’m a senior ux/ ui designer. Usually graphic designers don’t collaborate really for the creation of a interface. I would say depending on how the company is structured, you have ui/ visual designers working on the components, icons, illustrations, color palette etc. however, from my experience many companies look for ux designers that are also able to work on visual design
there's never a stupid question :) the benefit of working at a bigger company is that there's usually a design components library you can pull elements from so that you're not designing every single thing from scratch. But a lot of times, I do come up with new illustrations that aren't in the library. if you're someone who is just starting out, you can look for free icon libraries online, but for other elements, you can learn from what other companies have already done (Google's Material Design/Stripe's Design System) instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. It will also help you learn visual and interaction design.
Thanks for the informative video that actually pertains to UX design, rather than giving us your morning routine, makeup routine, etc. It’s so frustrating to watch a video that claims to be ADITL of a UX designer, but instead just entails the above.

As an industrial/product designer (physical product that is) I always had this annoyance with ux/product design because a lot of times people would assum that’s what I did, but I’m starting to appreciate it more and learning about it more lol
This is so cool coming from someone born in SF. WoW! amazing your career and life look mesmerizing I really want to be able to live like this and I love how you seem to never to stop learning something new. That's the key :) never give up.

Nice video showing ur daily routine as a ux designer, im a ui ux design student almost done wit my academy courses, cant wait to job search and actually find a job at a decent company, so excited even tho i kno its going yo be a really challenging process, hoping to move to the bay or LA.
Tech industry used to embrace introverts. I don't understand all the distractions in 30% meetings, and presentations. What ever happened to value in getting things done without all the extroverted fluff setbacks that distract away from the creative process. Tech & design people would be working in Sales if they really wanted all that extroverted time wasting activities. Like if I'm working on a painting, or coding a website and get a million calls in that time it kills the creative process, any process. This is why I prefer freelance work. Work time is dedicated to actually working, not talk, talk, talk. Nothing worse than a ton of meetings and presentations then a boss yelling at you to meet a deadline. A deadline that could of been met easily without all the fluff talk. I don't work to party and socialize with superficial co-workers. I work to accomplish tasks, to be proud of my results, to better a business & their customers, and make money.
I love ur videos! As an accountant turn UX designer I am currently pursuing a IxD degree in SF and hopefully could land a decent job after graduation ❤️❤️

I'm a Product Designer as well and this video really made me miss going into the office! Things are so different these days.
The first day that I started ux i didnt expect that one of your video starts to learn process of UX and finally i made one project that I cannot expect I can do this thanks your my inspiration
I wanted to do a career switch from just a graphic designer to UX designer... this is insightful
You have a dream job! 🥰 I am currently in a UX/UI bootcamp. I hope to find a job like yours one day.
LOOOL I love how you called out the engineers for setting the bar so low (def the kind of work environment I want to be in, I can't bother putting a full face on before work)...I've come back to watch this video as I'm learning more and more about UX. can't believe I missed that comment the fist time!
I recently got into my college's UX program so these informational videos are helpful to see what kind of career and lifestyle I could have, thanks for sharing!
I really wanna be a UX/UI Designer. I'm a graduating student and I was kinda lost on what am I really gonna supposed to do after uni but seeing this video made me really prove my love for UX/UI design. Thank you!
Thank you for this video! I plan on becoming a UX/UI Designer and your life sounds very pleasant and fun 💖 I love presenting
Thank you for doing this video, your company looks awesome! Can’t wait for your next video!
thanks for watching 😀
this brand is so perfect, you're lucky to work there! dream job day
Amazing video! It’s funny since I’m a graphic design major and do instacart on the side. The app is designed well, but I just wish it wouldn’t time out so much. Would love to explore ux design as a future career.
😔the app does crash way too frequently. as a graphic designer, transitioning into ux should be smoother :)
i don't even want to be a UX designer, but for some reason i love watching your videos about it hahaha so interesting
My boyfriend is going to do the UX designer certificate offered by google! he loves art, is creative and has a good eye, wants a stable career and something where he could work remote and have good benefits. Im so happy he has finally decided on something to do!!!!
Thanks for sharing this! It is always so amazing to gain knowledge from fellow Product Designers!! I like how you split your day!
Wow this is my DREAM! Thanks for the inspiration. Just finished my portfolio this year. Preparing for my interviews now 🙏🏾
Ahhh song "Girls" by Girl in red
This might be s stupid question, but I’m really curious...Do you have to design the icons and visuals? Or a graphic/visual designer give you all the things you need and you just put them together? Please let me know, thank you!
^ Would love to know this as well!
@@kc-un7by Thank you :)
@@chunbuns Thank you!
Thanks for the informative video that actually pertains to UX design, rather than giving us your morning routine, makeup routine, etc. It’s so frustrating to watch a video that claims to be ADITL of a UX designer, but instead just entails the above.
That was one of the smoothest transition to a sponsorship I seemed in youtube!!!
I just found your channel on my recommended page and I love how well you communicated what a day as a UX designer is like 😊 definitely subscribed!
You popped up on my recommended list!! Awesome video Christine!! I work in tech in SF as well!! Not a UX designer, BUT I work with a lot of UX students & new grads! Glad I found your content!!
Oh no I watched this to see how I could make my own day in the life of a UX designer and I don't think I can give this much information! So interesting to see the differences and similarities between SF tech culture and Korean tech culture! The free t-shirts and screen printing look SO COOL! Great video!! And I didn't notice the hair length changes because I was so busy watching your content!!
Do you work as an ux designer in korea? I was wondering how it is over there, probably very competitive...
I love this video! It provides a great idea of what your job looks like without over romanticization. This is very helpful for people who might not know what they want to do career wise. Thank you for such a great video!
I am an instacart driver studying graphic design so this was such an insightful video to watch! thanks for sharing xo
Im a UX Designer and is the best job! Thank you for sharing this video, the food loooks awesome :)
Wow now I want to be an ux designer! Love the whole idea of designing apps and doing presentations
So interesting! 🧐🙃 I have no desire to be in UX/product design, but I’m always curious to know what other people’s work lives look like. 🌟
Nice video showing ur daily routine as a ux designer, im a ui ux design student almost done wit my academy courses, cant wait to job search and actually find a job at a decent company, so excited even tho i kno its going yo be a really challenging process, hoping to move to the bay or LA.
this was such a good video which covered the tasks you do on. daily basis,. thanks for sharing
😍😍😍 I'm currently learning ux/ui design. This makes me want to practice and learn more about it ✨✨✨
As an undergraduate Multimedia and interaction designer student, I cant wait to get the chance to get a job in a workplace like yours! so lucky
you're already on your way :)
Have to start doing more videos like these! so inspirational to people who want to get into this industry!!
I work to accomplish tasks, to be proud of my results, to better a business & their customers, and make money.
i agree
Congratulations! I got the impression that you have the dream job for most people... in the world! 😁
I love ur videos! As an accountant turn UX designer I am currently pursuing a IxD degree in SF and hopefully could land a decent job after graduation ❤️❤️
Debating for a few weeks now if I want to do this. And so far the answer is YES
I am currently studying communication and multimedia design and this is literally my dream job. Can’t wait to graduate and become an UX designer!
So glad seing you back!
