Really interesting video, Craig! I can see it’s not for everyone, but then nothing is, is it. But I would really look forward to seeing more content like this!
I’m so glad I stumbled across your video. Created an account and placed an order. Thank you so much. Your Nursery looks lovely and I’m sure I will return for more purchases!
You certainly been busy, great work! Sorry I can’t buy anything as I live in Florida. I’m interested in adding to my fatsia collection and you have some varieties that I’m interested in finding
With you on trachy. Some patience pays off. Recommend planting trachy with max 50-70 cm trunk even for most impatient of us. They will catch on much faster and eventually outgrow bigger trunks...
You are absolutely right, plants are often given marketing names and are protect by breeders rights with this name. We’re legally obliged to use the marketing name provided by the growers. You’ll see breeders changing the marketing names from time-to-time as well. 😀
Any plans to propagate Brassaiopsis mitis? Unobtainable in UK - French growers refuse to sell to UK customers because of Brexit nightmare paperwork rules😠
It's such a shame that you ruined your beautiful piece of paradise to go commercial. I used to enjoy watching your videos, but unfortunately they are more and more focused on sales instead of the passion you showed before. Really pitty.
Our Patch of Paradise gives us so much joy and we love sharing our passion, it’s the passion that keeps us motivated to keep creating and sharing with our global audience. We started with a blank canvas and with every challenge we’ve had to learn to accept change so that we can grow. We feel fortunate to now dedicate ourselves fully to our small UK business that we have built over many years. Our UK shop ensures that we can keep growing the Grow Paradise community. It was not an easy decision to dig up our garden again, but ultimately needs must. We will be creating a new Paradise Patio this Spring. We encourage everybody that supports our channel to grow their own patch of paradise, a space unique to their dreams and interests and share their creations. Whilst our ultimate dream is to have a Botanical Garden and Nursery open to the public, where we can share videos and plants with an incredibly supportive global customer base - we still have a long way to go and we can never be 100% sure what the future holds so we’re going to enjoy this journey. We’d love for you to stay on the journey with us 🌴☀️
@@GrowParadise I understand you, but your patch of paradise was very nice to see and follow with the passion of a real hobbyist. Since you went commercial, everything seems to be all about sales and I miss that passion you had. We have 100,000 of them in plant shops and online stores, but it is precisely those nice, filled gardens that ensure that people get the exotic tropical virus and want to continue with exotics. If there is only sales to be seen, people are much less concerned about it. It's just a tip, but in the more than 25 years that I have been working in exotics, I have seen many passionate hobbyists disappear because passion eventually turned to commerce. Please don't loose that feeling and passion !
Hello Craig, I get that you are growing a business, and a passion for plants means that you want to grow so many but don't have room. The only thing that upset me, was cutting down and chopping up your beautiful rhus tree, it was stunning. Why didn't you try potting it into a large pot, to maybe help with the patio tropical garden you are planning? Trees are so precious and so expensive to buy!
@@carolebaines4075 It was a beautiful tree and still is! It has been rehomed and planted in the ground so it can thrive in a larger space. The branch cut off was a dead stem. We find new homes for our plants with each redesign of our space. Our plants are lovingly nurtured and we do get attached to them so we make sure they go to someone who will nurse them on and bring them years and years of joy 🌱
I love your videos. And wish I had a Gunnera here in west Tennessee in the USA. I enjoy your wisdom and appreciate all your work.
The plants in your garden look healthy and now is the best time to plant them
Thanks Craig for showing us your great plants.

Thank you for watching. We really appreciate you supporting our shop 🙂
Looking lovely ❤
All is missing is Canabis and then you complete the business 🙈.. well done 👍🏻

Thank you for watching. I can only imagine the variety of plants you can grow in Florida. Exciting!

Absolutely! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience 👍
Will be purchasing a banana plant from you soon
I'm with you on the Dicksonias, very underrated when used as a 'normal' fern without a trunk.
Yes, they are great low growing plants too. Thanks for watching 😀
Hi Craig, I'm going to be in Bournemouth for a couple of days next month. Are you open to public or online only?
Brilliant. When will you be at Bridport again
Mid-March is the plan 😀
The tropicana canna are likely C. durban and C. pretoria. 'Tropicana' is the inaccurate marketing name often used... worth checking.

It's a scary one! We'd love to, but I've just got to build the confidence to chop the top off 😱
