    Holy crap! This is exactly the video I needed! I was just trying to decide on which one of these two thermals to get today on the Amazon sale. Thank you so much for your comparison and insight!

    This is exactly what I was looking for, this is a great, informative comparison of the two systems.
    I'm planning to do some static observation whilst on sentry duty during night time training exercises with the British army. I've heard lads who have had a massive telling off for failing to stop and challenge potential enemies from breaching the patrol harbour.
    Hopefully these flir devices will help stop me from embarrassing myself 😅
    The price to performance on the AGM seems to be what sells me on it so I'll think I'll go for it, thanks for the comparison mate

      I'm ex Brit Army, would have been handy back in my day, the II and IR sights were the size of toasters lol. Certajnly needed, pity they can't issue a personal sight, army's always been the same. Kit supplied= fair, at worse crap. For comfort and practicality= buy your own. So in effect you're funding yourself, typical

    I use the AGM model working site security.
    There's too much ambient street lighting for passive night vision.
    But this little thermal sees into deep shadow and light underbrush very well

    Hi! Fantastico review! I am looking for something portable that helps me to check if there are some thieves in the fields behind my home... Could be a good choice this AGM, due to the love cost? Maybe It Is Better something that helps me to find people at about 150m/150 yards. Do you have some suggestion? Thanks!

    Great review. I don't know about AGM. Their product is good but I had one incident. I have a Taipan TM25 384 I tried to unscrew it from my monopod. it got stuck and then it swiveled around with the mount adapter and broke off. It could have been when the screw mount fell on the circuit board , it's turned off. Yet I'm not sure but it appears to be. The thermal doesn't work and won't power on. They should have had a body that should secure it from turning it around and around but it's supported with plastic and that's all. very disappointed. I'm going to contact AGM tomorrow.

    Thanks for this very useful video! One more question to though… do you think it’s possible to find birds hiding in trees with it? I would use it to scout for owl locations for example…

    • @Woods2Table
      @Woods2Table  7 місяців тому +1

      Would absolutely work for this depending on how close they are and how much brush is in the way. But, in general a large birds heat signature would be able to be detected.

      This is what I need to know!!! I think it would do well at night but will it work well during the day at 20 to 40 yards! Because most of my owls are sleeping during the day! They can be almost impossible to see at 10 to 20 yards in trees with moss!

    Ah, a boy with his blade and some foliage. It never changes. When I was a kid I found great-grandpa's katana he brought back from the Pacific and I proceeded to decimate my grandma's garden. Got in a little trouble for that one. 😬 Now I'm a grown up with my own land and I get to hack up all the trees and plants I want! Unfortunately I still haven't found that katana again.

    Lenses for thermal imaging cameras are really super expensive. Why Flir is more expensive can really simply be because there is more glass in the lens.
