It's a time consuming process for sure. I'm in the planning stages at the moment. But you probably won't see anything for at least 2-3 months. I'll be updating our website with new information and estimates over time. So be sure to check there for the most up to date info.
Hello Jeff, many thanks for the comprehensive explanation of the new changes. I've a question related to CCIE. If i have already my CCNP certification & translated to the system, would that mean that i need to take the CCIE lab exam only after the new version & no need for the written exam since it is now the core of CCNP?
That's one use case I'm a little fuzzy on. According to a post from Santi Lopez in the Cisco Learning Network forums, it sounds like to be able to unlock the ability to take the lab come Feb 24, 2020 you would have had to have passed your final needed CCNP exam within the last 3 years for the translated core exam to be valid towards taking the lab. If it's been more than 3 years since then, you would have to pass the core exam to start a fresh 3 years of validity towards the lab. learningnetwork.cisco.com/thread/134829 Cisco certification support should hopefully be able to give you an official answer based on your cert/exam history.
