@JadeLaunders To the second reply: Sorry, 'twas my fault I didn't look at the date of your comment. To the first reply: I only saw your first comment since it was rated up 82 times, not the others. I apologize for re-saying things. Vocaloid2 is not a knockoff because it is by the same company, under the same series. Saying it is a knockoff of Vocaloid would be like saying Miku Append is a knock off of Miku. I don't think UTAU is necessarily a "knockoff", but it IS influenced by Vocaloid.
im confused. Is utauloid a vocaloid that a ordanry person made up and bought the vocaloid software and used their voice? or is it a differnt company? im so confused and would apreciate someones replay! '^^
they're a little different. UTAU is a free program. they're not as easy to use as the vocaloids and the quality's not as good. anyways.... AWESOME VIDEO! mako is added to my list of good singers! XD
@MinamiUotani actually, it works pretty much the same. you import a VSQ (or for utau a UST) you select a singer, you can make it sing the song, or if you want import an midi of music you made and make it sing it. the only difference is it is not as high as quality, the singers are free (and you can make your own one) and it is a little bit harder to use. oh, so miku/rin/len/gumi/gakupo/miki or anyone isn't vocaloid because they don't use the original vocaloid engine that meiko/kaito had?
Gackpo is not and Utau. All Vocaloids from the Vocaloid2 series are based off of real voice actors' voice banks. Kaito and Meiko are completely computerized, using only a few voice samples as a base for the vocal engine. UTAU is like the Vocaloid2 software, excpet it grants the user ability to create their own Utau. It's not a knock-off because it's a completely different program in sound and usage. It was NOT developed by Crpton Future Media nor Yamaha. It's free and harder to use.
@rukaluff Actually, meiko and kaito were made by yamaha while luka miku rin and len were made by crypton. They don't use the same engine or were produced, designed or released by the same people. The only similarity is the software does the same basic thing. How is that different to utau?
Jadii Actually, MEIKO and KAITO were released by Crypton too. They were just released for the previous Vocaloid version. But, since this comment is 8 years old now, I don't really think you're gonna read this, or you already know when you do.
@bubblegirl99xoxo i still cant belive that Teto Kasane is 30! It kills me, cuz she is so young lookin and yes cuz her voice is childish and adorable! xD
@fandrawersstudios ... sorry, but have you ever even used utau before? Fanmade vocaloid implies it uses vocaloid, which it doesn't. It's its own engine, its NOT a knock off.Oremo is free software lmao, i use it.There are no utau companies lol what are you talking about?
@JadeLaunders Uhh...UTAU is not Vocaloid. UTAU is a completely different program. Vocaloid and Vocaloid2 were made by Yamaha, UTAU by Ameya. Any character made with the software "Vocaloid" or "Vocaloid2" is a Vocaloid. Any character made with anything else is not. What company made the character doesn't matter. Also, MEIKO and KAITO were made by the same company that made Miku, Rin, Len, and Luka(Crypton Future Media). MEIKO and KAITO were just made with Vocaloid, while the others are Vocaloid2.
@Minamiuotani woah, no need to get so defensive. I wasn't trying to insult you. D: you missed my point. My point wasn't how the software works. It was that they work on essentially the same basis. Concept? People use vocaloid the same way they use utau. I have seen many original songs sung by utau instead of vocaloids. The only difference is that utau is free. They have the exact same concept. Just because vocaloid costs money doesn't mean you can't make professional songs with utau.
its a decent version..but the pause after every word kind of hurts it. the voice is definitely there and if she sang it a bit smoother it would better than rin"s
@JadeLaunders I think most of the UTAUs are better than the vocaloids, anyways. I APOLIGISE TO THE MIKU FANS! DON'T GIVE ME CRAP JUST 'CUZ I HAVE MY OWN OPINIONS!!!
She's a character from the UTAU program. UTAU is also a vocal synthesizer program. It's free but more difficult to use.
Her dress is beautiful!
mako would b a good couple wit gakupo! i mean they r both samurai's! ~
UTAU`s deserve more love!
Just discovered this UTAU, wow. Just. WOW.

@MinamiUotani

@JadeLaunders you forgot Haku but people say she's a voyakloid or somthing like that.

@SailorMars777
IKR?!
So weird~. :3
@JadeLaunders Utauloids are fan made vocaloids. Only a couple companies have actually used Oremo to make an UTAU. So they are somewhat knock offs.
Can anyone help me make a video like this for my own UTAU?
can i have the MP3?
@xPinkCirnox me too lol! It's the worst.
She kind of sounds like miku X3
