I'm doing this, running into issue with not getting enough water to my washer. My pump is like 4.7gpm. I even took my washer off the stand and it's sitting flat on the trailer to give it a straight flow of water and still not doing good...
@Jonboy's Pro Wash 3/4 hose from tank to washer. 6ft hose. So not sure what's really going on. It works, but like you did in the other video, if washer isn't running and I pull the trigger, dnt get any water flow at the tip of the gun, it works just not like it would with coming directly from water hose from my house
@@johnwiechel A tip I used on this last job was putting the ball valve on it. Every time I changed guns or started it I had it open. I think that help the pump to prime too.
Ran mine from a ibc tote today, turned out to work way better than I thought. I did have my pressure washer on the ground next to my trailer with a 6ft hose. Doesn't run water through the hose cause it's not being pulled yet until the motor is running, I would recommend pulling the cord a couple times with the ignition switch in the off potion so the pump can get some water through it before you go starting it completely dry.
Yea I’m having issues gravity feeding a 4gpm machine from a tote. Berly getting 3gpm with 5/8 hose up to pressure washer. When I test it from tote on trailer to bucket on ground it’s closer to 4gpm . I’m gonna try up size the 5/8 to 3/4 or 1 inch to . pressure washer . Right now I have 2 in pipe to 3/4 fitting yo 5/8 garden hose to pump. This is with half full tote. 🤷♂️ may have to just put a pump in-line 🤷♂️
I didn’t have any issues using the 3/4 hose with mine. I just finished a big job where I had it gravity fed the entire job. Maybe the bigger hose will help you out.
@@jonboysprowash7845 have my pressure washer bolted to trailer and hoping I don’t have unbolt it and put in on the ground. I’m try replace garden hose with a bigger hose see if that gives me the little extra flow. Good video thanks
@@NoName-be5ir I had to take mine out of the truck bed and set on the ground. You would be surprised at how much raising and lowering the hose can make.
@@jonboysprowash7845 yea I seeing some of the small things that makes a big difference. My machine is still on the rolling frame. Now I’m looking at unbolting it from the Frame and bolt directly to the trailer . About a 6 inch drop. Maybe setting tote on 4x4 . 🤷♂️
@@jonboysprowash7845 switched the water hose from tote with a 3/4 hose clear hose and some hose clamps. Jumped up a gallon. On trailer. Jumped 2 gallons from tote to ground. That’s with 125 in tote. I’m going test to see how low in the tote I can go. So yea just going from 5/8 to 3/4 made a big difference. Thanks again for your video.
Yeah gravity feed not working well. Im trying to wash granite for footers. No luck. Im trying to get a sump that drops into. No luck. I might try my RV water pump on a 12v bat.
That’s stinks. Mine didn’t have any issues after I out ball valve on the end and let it prime itself. Washer was setting in ground and tote was in trailer
Detailers use low gpm direct drive and gravity fed is ok to a degree. House washer use a higher gpm and gravity want give you enough pressure without a booster pump. Need a belt drive to pull water with h higher gpm.
@@jonboysprowash7845 belt drive is the only 1 that can pull its own water. Just be careful on gpm because you will empty a tank fast. Plus, it's not fun hauling 16-1700lbs of water to a job site for any distance. If that be the case, it's time to start looking into a 1-2ton rig. I'm running 3/4ton rigs and use customer water source as much as possible. Keep it flowing partner 🫡💪🇺🇲
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!👍
Thanks! I just ran into the same thing with a customer having no water
You’re welcome. I hope it helped. I have some 55 gallon drum buffer tank videos too if you don’t need such a big tank.

That’s not good. What size hose are you running from the tank? I’m using a 3/4” on mine. I used it on a big job recently and didn’t have any issues.

@@christopherpaige406 Same to you.
Post a vid of it running
That will be tomorrows video.
Anyone bigger than 5 gallons a minute is a waste of money cuz you waste material
I wouldnt know with this 4gpm😂
All depends on what your doing with it. If you surface clean a lot 10gpm certainly helps
