Use a food grade silicon grease on your water filter seals and you have a less chance of the o-ring binding and leaking, also it makes taking the canisters off easier.
I use a tiny bit of Vaseline on my filter seals. Also on my vehicle door seals to keep weather stripping from freezing and sticking to the doors, mind you I live a long ways north across the border from the ice box of the Nation!!

We have sulfur smell I'm our well, we put a powered anode rod in out water heater and it cured the smell. Not sure what to do in a tankless like you have. If you figure it out let me know, we are building a new house right now on the same well and we will need a cure for the smell there. We are going tankless like you did.

Guys see if you can add a backwash system ( similar to a swimming pool) to help with the sediment. I have one and it runs about 30 min a day. Also I would remove the filters and flush out the complete system.

We had sulfur water when I was a kid . My Grandfather put pennies in the pitcher to get rid of it . We drank that stank water from the hose but the table water Wes good .
Might be worth getting some speaker grills for the subs, don't want a tin of beans or other groceries putting a hole in the speaker cone (speaking from experience).
Balance powders are great but the air needs to be dry or nitrogen works best

Hey Ben I recommend and highly suggest you go what is called the big 3 upgrade for the jeep. Helps the power supply to the battery and take stress off the alternator. I have a 4.7 02 jgc and made the engine run smoother with less stress. Just an idea. Subs are great. 2 12 comp r kicker 12s.

Those skar audio amps and subs pump HARD! I have 2 of their 12s and the 2000 watt amp they have and I can’t even run it all the way up
I used to have the rotten egg smell in my well. I always pour about 1 pint of bleach into my well every 3 or 4 months. I just poured it down the vent in my well cap. It absolutely eliminates the egg smell, but replaces it with a chlorine smell (like city water). I already had a 3 micron water filter, so I added a second filter chamber after it and dropped a 0.5 micron activated charcoal filter. The charcoal filter eliminates the chlorine smell.
Need to run well for couple days to expel gas smell also water that has a lot of minerals
Hydrogen sulfide or manganese can cause the egg smell if you haven't yet get your water tested so you know exactly what your dealing with and what's the best route to get rid of it. Ps have a very merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy new year.

My son is very gifted in the mechanic department and is very frugal. He was the kid that got his allowance before going to town on payday and nearly always came back with the money in his pocket. Being as cheap as he is he will pay to have a Honda timing belt kit installed. (money can buy happiness)

Had balancing beads in a truck I bought 12 years ago. I'd never even heard about them before and didn't know they were in the tires. It drove me nuts trying to figure out what was wrong with the truck. The tires were a high quality brand and fairly new, but as a last straw I decided to swap them out for new tires. The beads were found and "YES, THEY SUCK!!!"

Check out the 3 things to do tonyour vehicle when you have a system in it. Its helps your system by adding bigger ground wires and bigger positive wire to Alternator. Makes a big difference when you do this to your vehicle

Many kudos for tackling the timing belt! I am to the point of preferring to sell the car, than replace any Hondo belt, water pump. 👍
The copper would work, but you may get too much copper in your diet. A better solution might be to get a commercial injection system for either bleach or hydrogen peroxide. For the seals on the filters, use food grade silicon oil (I used 2000 cSt) to lubricate the o-ring and only tighten by hand. If you use a wrench to tighten, you will find it is very difficult to remove.

My friend is a BASS HEAD he has 2 15 inch Skars subs on 1500 watts and yes it BANGS I used to drive a cab in a collage town the owner of the cab company allowed me to put a stereo system in it I had 2 12 inch subs a 10 inch sub 6 6X9 3 ways and 2 6 inch rounds speakers all total I was running on about 3500 watts it made us a lot of money and was a lot of FUN 😂 it took a couple of weeks to build all the cabinets close to 300 feet of wire also ran another battery for it it was AMAZING even bummed it a couple time for the police and it had earned the NAME of THUMPER

Dude! We have the fartiest water ever. Legit make you gag. We got a green sand sulfur filter. Now we only get fart water when it’s back flushing the sand. It’s all automatic. It’s been installed for a little over 12 years. Works like a charm.
Im just like you Ben got to have my Bass. I like clear music coming out also thow. Bought 2 15 inch American Bass Subs that are 4000 watts each. Those things are loud and even hurt my ears if i turn it up to load. Dont care for music if it doesn't have good bass 😂

If your not going to use the filters for more than a couple of weeks you can drain all the water out of the cartridges, wrap them in plastic and store them in the freezer until your ready to defrost and use them again. Works great for seasonal cabins and RV's that don't get used for months too.

That’s a good idea but we do use them now. It’s not a ton but it’s some. I have just never known a water softener to smell so bad.
@@bandmsgarage They filter out impurities and that's what happens to still water with impurities locked inside a small container. They grow and multiply at first, then they die and fester. Its the fester part that gets you.
You should have been there when I was asked to put a factory sink back in service that had been cut loose and capped off for 10 years without draining the filter cartridges first. I wish it was you or anyone else besides me dealing with it. It was BAD, Really, REALLY BAAAAD!

@@bandmsgarage I made an executive call that the filter housing, etc wasn't by any wild stretch of the imagination salvageable so I triple bagged it as best I could with heavy duty contractors hazmat bags, cut the pipes loose and tossed the whole affair out the window. Since it was something you wouldn't want to touch with a 10 foot pole I used something a tad longer to hook the bag and toss it in the dumpster. I went straight home for a shower and my wife didn't want me to enter the house.
About as bad as finding a 10 lb roast still in the plastic wrap left in a hotel refrigerator that was left unplugged for several months but not as bad as finding the body of someone who been dead for some time sitting in their easy chair in a hoarders house with no working toilets during the dog days of summer in Tropical Tampa Bay Florida. That was the Worst!

My understanding is that you have untreated is dissolved minerals/solids in your well water supply?
I came across a similar issue working with Harrods dep store in London, England.
Took me ages to get them to tell me that their water supply, doesn't come from the public water utility, but like yours, comes from their own well below the building.
The dissolved minerals in the well was causing all manner of issues with equipment throughout the store.
Had been doing so literally forever.
Easily fixed, once I established what was going on.
We installed a demineraliser unit - job done!
They can look similar to a water softener, but different.
I'm sure Utah has a wide range of local water treatment companies, who will be idealy placed to advise on the best solution for testing the particular chemistry in your well water supply.

All home mechanical systems are a pain. Vinegar in your clothes washer with each load will help if you smell sulfur (also great for drywall mud removal on your clothes). Keep showing folks how to survive 🗿👽🗿

You're doing it wrong. Everything needs to be wirede with 22 guage wire and no fuses. Bonus points if all of the wires are the same color. Run the wires as close to exhaust components if possible, touching is ideal. Fuses are for people who can't use a fire extinguisher. 😅

The water filter orings need some lube ,they catch and spin out of position,and they need to be screwed up slowly and evenly .
I would make sure that you a couple of spare orings for the various filter housings .
Do you have an Iron problem with the Bore , obviously there are other minerals that are present .
A sand filter is often required to remove Iron deposits before the water gets to the Filters and a UV light filter unit to get safe drinking water .
There are various additives to put in the tank water if you have a storage tank.
Have you ever shock treated the bore ?.

Put a little olive oil on the upper seals when installing - it stops the o-rings from scrunching up. And DON'T over-tighten.
Remember to turn it down before you get to where you are going so thieves don't know your car is sitting there with a Free Sub in it.
I hope you'll get to see this so I know several people that have that same issue with their water it's caused by rust did you go get the best well pump you can get and it's got steel parts in it you sanitize the well with chlorine that induces rust in the parts and produces that smell its iron oxide that is decaying that's what the smell is you have to pull your pump completely out of the ground throw it away buy you a complete stainless steel pump that has absolute zero carbon in it and then you have to sanitize the well you have to sanitize the pipes everything to get that smell out

This is my second comment refer to the first go to the Wellhead inspect the water there if it doesn't smell coming out of the world in the second scenario is what it is I did some time in prison and in a story I will not get into here the city that I was located in came to the unit and told us that we needed to get our water softeners fixed it's pretreatment for the sewage system give a damn if you believe it or not and now to your problem the beads in the water softener create a stench in pipes filters water tanks all that stuff you can't store water that's been through a water softener that has salt and dissolved particles of beads and the water is not good for you anyway because it doesn't contain calcium and magnesium that's what the water softener takes out fake calcium and magnesium you do not absorb don't think that you do so how I know that is a guy opened a tank when we were in a pipe Chase we thought that he had passed gas and we're like no dude that stinks too bad if you didn't do something you didn't fart what happened what did you do over there and then he confessed to opening a water tank up on further investigation we understood that the tank was the source of the smell and that the tank next to it was not hooked to a water softener both of them were offline and it did not stink so we inferred that the water softener because it is pre-treatment for the sewer system started to dissolve in the tank
