Hi Gila! It is kind of like using dark watercolors or ink. I usually use "dirty water" but found it lack ing pigments and drying too gr ay. The alcohol ink includes a bit of glycerin, so the color is both saturated and had a bit of a luster. And, it does notcstain your skin the way India ink does. I am not suggesting it can truly compete with India ink, which is amazing. But, it is a good substitute, affordable and convenient. It also dries quickly. And, you can make any color you want! Just add your favorite acrylic paint and some glycerin to a small bottle or small container (1 oz) until you get an ink like consistency. HTH! xo

In your in your alcohol ink formula. Is it rubbing alcohol and acrylic paint or acrylic ink? Thank you for sharing your gorgeous art!
