Thanks for the video. Just changed out my multifunction switch. My is a 2006. Was a little different, but similar enough that I could do it. Only difference was you didn't need to take the ignition out and the 2 screws weren't a T fitting. They were regular socket fittings. Got it done in about 30 minutes. Thanks again!
That was one of the best and simplest tutorials I have watched you did an excellent job on this. Thank you very much you just saved me a hundred bucks. 🎉
Thank you for the excellent video. I just replaced mine yesterday, but found that the new switch (a Duralast, which is supposed to be good quality), puts the lever too far back, and your hand hits it as you are driving. Really terrible quality! I have to engage the hi-beams to drive without hitting the lever.
great video, appreciate it.....i had a leak and water got to the multifunction and started smoking.....turned off van, dried everything out and everything is working like the hazards and turn signals.......except: i have no headlights.....could that leak affect the headlights through the multi function switch?
Before you order the switch check your wires. That’s all that was wrong with mine. But I had already bought the new part so I stuck the new one anyways. Thanks for the video
It's really easy to remove and it gives you more slack in the top panel. You might be able to do it without taking it out, but it takes 5 seconds to remove the cylinder.
Got the part installed in 15 min (after figuring out I had to disconnect the battery). Your instructions were clear and easy to follow, I just had the video playing in the van. Part works great. Thanks again!
You are the only guy showing a Ford with a steering wheel lever! I wasn't sure if it unscrewed or not. Thank you, brother!

Thanks, I'm glad you saved some money.
Shown by a mechanic how to do it but his method would have cost $150 in labor. I now think I can do this. Subscriber.
Thank you, I appreciate it.

@BjorgenEatinger That's good to know. I didn't have any issues with the ones I have linked in the description.

I wouldn't think so, it could be your headlight switch. I would start by checking all of your fuses and relays.
@@GrimRepair will do, thank you for your fast reply!
Thank you Great video shows exactly what people need to know straight to de point no unless talking
Thanks for sharing 👍❤
Nice video dude thank you!
Are these steps required similar to the steps required for a 2005 ford ranger?
I would think so. They all used the same style column as far as I know.

Hi Joey. Thank you for your comment. can you tell me what wires you checked?

You make it look so easy, can't wait to try this! Btw, is removing the key cylinder a must? Just wondering, never removed it before.

Does the switch also work the brake lights function
No, that's above the brake pedal.

@@robertschwennicke7494 You're welcome, thank you!
Wwwwwooooowww thank you 👍
Why remove the key cylinder?
It gives you more slack to move the plastic around the column.
Will this switch work on a 2004 f150 XLT
It should be the same.
Will this work on a 1999 E 250 ford Econoline Cargo Van ?
