Love watching your videos.. No bs.. One thing i find funny is when you say, for instance, "you've got 120 miles to go and its going to take over 3 hrs to do". I wonder why, because over here that would take us under 2 hrs to do. Then i remember the speed limiters and the congested roads over there. Our trucks are limited to 65mph, and only because of Provincial laws in Ontario and Quebec.. Kepp up the great videos, always look forward to them..
@Life_of_Darren the big cities have major congestion.. 2 of the worst Hwy 401 going past Toronto(1 of the busiest HWY's in Nth America) up to 20 lanes in some parts, but so bad.. Cross Bronx Expressway and over the GW bridge in New York is another big headache. But between the big cities there are plenty of open miles to click on the cruise and sit back. I don't run 65 all the time as when I'm running the road trains I'm only supposed to do 55mph..
Nice bitta reversing there young sir, I used to deliver to an old mill in Rochdale 3 loading bays, they always wanted the trailer on the tightest bay, as they do, usually 2 other trailers already on the other bays, yard designed for nothing bigger than a rigid, cars parked everywhere, turning off road into Mill all the pavement broken up where we had to drive on pavement to get into the yard, every driver not just me, unit tight up against a massive wall straight in front of you once on loading bay, then when tipped drive to top of yard jacknife to turn the trailer missing wall by about 2 foot and cab up against building with approx a gnats hair space in front of you, all the yard broken up from damage of trailers turning in such a tight spot etc ! Happy days "NOT" but you can get out of any tight spot mucka, your a good driver ! Level headed, think things through, then execute manoeuvre, job done 👌👌👌👌
Very evocative, that old machinery.Just remind yourself when you're having a bad day, your great, great grandad was probably working on that type of stuff for a bob a day 🥵
Top video Darren, Plenty tight yards to test your skills haha, nailed them all as always make it look easy.. That hidden unit just off the East lancs, legit like 2 mins from my house. That junction getting out can be awful, I always stop and let trucks out when I’m coming down, Least i can do to try and help you guys. Take care mate enjoy your long weekend in the caravan
Thanks buddy, managed to get here all okay with nice weather - little wet this morning though but should find something to do 🤞🏻 Have a good weekend mate
Hi Darren, I hope you're well. Love the videos just a question the job in leigh on butts street is that not part of magnum? Also, watching your videos, I do a lot of collection/delivery's on the same estates, surprised I've never seen you.
I personally wouldn’t class myself as a tramper, I currently only do between 1-2 nights out a week, I do enjoy it staying out but I wouldn’t want to do 4/5 nights away
@@Life_of_Darren Do you know a way to look for HGV jobs there in UK, that tell you, you can spend 1 or 2 nights out a week? Because I can only find both extremes, or Monday to Friday no night outs or Tramper (entire week out, weekend home).
@@andredanielpsilva00 tbh I think I just got lucky, they may adverse as a full time tramper but only require 2/3 nights out 🤷🏻♂️ 🤞🏻 you can find the one you like

65mph must be great, do the roads get busy over there, I imagine there a little better than the uk

@@joobie1000 thanks bud, some of the places just aren’t designed for trailers, especially the one you mentioned 🙈
I recon you deserve a few days off after that shift mate! Hope you have a great week end, look forward to the next video, cheers for sharing.

Motorways these days are an absolute nightmare for LGV drivers. The traffic at night is as busy as it is in the day times.

Hi Darren.
In your job, are you considered a Tramper? Since you spend a lot of nights out.
