I just love that FROMSOFT has been using the same tricks forever. Illusory walls behind illusory wall, trap fort areas, impassible arrow swarms you need to go around. Love it.
Even in this you can clearly see a lot of the mechanics they would expand on in later games like dragon fruits giving you a revive, traps and hidden walls, brutal difficulty.
This was great to watch mate! Well done! The planet of Saturn is written 土星 in Japanese which literally means earth star. The Evil Dark Magician is called 黒魔導士 in Japanese which would be better translated as Black Wizard/sorcerer/mage. 魔導 means black magic which contrasts with 魔法; magic. 魔法 type magic is the kind that appears in Harry Potter. So they were trying to reflect this naunce in the translation. This translation seems to be very high quality and comparable to the official translations of KF 2.

Just finished the game and ye Triple Fang is amazing, it took me from thinking I'd just do the third floor tonight as I was doing a lot of backtracking, to having so much health and mana spare that I just powered through the entire thing.
aw jeez. Was that in the PS1 version? There's a weird "remake" on PC, on the Sword of Moonlight editing tool.... the final boss in that version is absurdly tanky for some reason. On a regular playthrough it took me over 5 minutes of spamming spells to beat it.
That's odd, the fountain didn't rotate when I played... Maybe it's a bug from the translation patch? By the time I realized there was one, I was too far in... "60 STR 85 MG unlocks Sword Magic" No, it's 60 STR and only 60 MG.
