I would have also mentioned that ETIAS is not a visa - it is a visa waiver. US and Canada have them too (different name and abbreviations ). It is a way to help with security and possible threats. It’s also safe to mention that this is only for the European Schengen countries, so not for every country in Europe 😊😊😊 Also, this is not a new thing. This was introduced in 2016 but fully adopted in 2018 but it kept getting pushed back due to multiple different reasons!

It was at timestamp 3 :48.
I just got back from japan in may they have a very similar system.... You type in all your information they scan your bar code.... They know exactly who you are. And where you're going, and how long you're going to be there. So they would also know if you were to overstay.

Amazing video. Thanks so much. The $50 Euro that is charged for the taxi from the airport to Roma Termini, is it for the entire car or is it per person? If I’m travelling with 3 people, so wondering if the rate will be different. Thanks again for your great advice.

I'm confused. On the one hand, you mention that this requirement has been pushed back to Spring 2025, and then you mention that it is a new system (probably prone to problems and issues), and that we are to apply only 72 hours before we fly to Greece?! Huh? What? So do we have to apply for this document for our July 6th, 2024 departure for Athens, or not? The info is not clear. Thank you.
You don’t need anything for this year, just your ticket and your passport.

It’s not a sudden thing. They’ve been working on this since 2016/2018 but kept getting pushed back 🤷♀️
You cannot apply for this (not a Visa) until 2025 due to delays again

@@iloverome1274 depends on your european passport; citizens and residents of schengen countries are fine to go on a whim. for example Rep of Ireland is not Schengen area but EU and counts as eligible as well.
always travel on the passport which is eligible to go without such bureaucracy and keep that passport valid.

Yes, Canadians will need it.
@@StayFabulousTL to be precise: ~60 countries are eligible, everybody else not part of the group is schengen member itself OR is in dire need of a full fledged visa.
Europe should be concerned about their invasion not US visiting
I could say the same thing in the other way around. You should be concerned about your invasions from south and not EU visiting (go and check what ESTA is).
