Hey. I'm Italian. Totally agree: February. Quite cold in the mountains, but - you know - it's not the Arctic; and in the South you might find some unexpected good climate (therefore arrange your clothing options). Fewer tourists. Yes, again, never go eat in "touristy" places, never. If you happen to sit two or three evenings in a row in the same family-runned restaurant, you might be perceived as a regular guest, and this is good. What else? Yes, unless you have lashings of time, it is better to restrict your visit mostly to a single region; and, remember, small places and towns, even villages, in Italy, can offer the best experiences. Any travel guide will tell you that. Welcome in Italy!
@@vernafletcher6408 Though not being a tour-operator, maybe I could. But wouldn't it be more appropriate if you addressed your request to the creator of the video? I have taken two trips to Italy and much time Rome. Your trip tips are spot on, packing, not August, train travel and on and on. For your viewers, just go to Italy you will love it as it has it all. Culture, art, architecture, antiquities, people, food and the Italians are very welcoming. I love Italy and you will too!
Thank you for all the travel tips. I am planning a 10-day trip for my daughter's 50th birthday. My daughter does not like to move from city to city so I hope we can see Florence, Naples, and Rome. Is this enough time or should we plan a longer trip. We live in the USA. Thank you again!

You always give great advice. You made our Greek vacation so much better and now we will enjoy Italy even more when we return. Your attitude is so positive and upbeat that we can watch your videos just for that. Thank you Anastasia!
My wife and I have been preparing for our trip to London and Italy in May, I've watched many travel guides / blogs over the past few months and none have been as informative as yours! Thank you for all the details!.
Ohhh no!!! We are booked to travel to Italy in August!!!! Staying at a private villa in amalfi coast!!! Attending a health retreat… good to know traveling around via train is the best!!!
I am planning to travel to Italy in 2024 with a few of my girlfriends. It was a dream of mine and my late husbands to travel to Italy sadly he passed a month ago. I just finished watching your video, thank you for providing such great tips. I would have never thought to travel in February as I was planning for September or October. I can’t wait to experience the culture, the food, the wine, the sights and interaction with the locals. Thank you ☺️
Melanie, I am so sorry to hear that. It was my pleasure sharing all there tips with you. Both September and October are wonderful months for Italy, but it does get very crowded and expensive during that time of the year. I would definitely consider February. May is another excellent option. You honestly cannot go wrong and it will all depend on your budget, things you want to do and see. Have the most beautiful trip!
February is good if you want to tour museums, and or the northern parts of the Alps (for which it still is touristic season), but for the seaside part, February is too cold to enjoy the sea, if not for taking walks with a jacket on. I would suggest June and September to enjoy the coast.
I am beyond thankful I found this video, all the questions I’ve been thinking about got answered. And I learned some juicy information I never considered. I feel so much more prepared for my first trip to Italy 🇮🇹
the last time I called to the banks to inform that I was going to travel they told me that I do not have to call any more because the security system knows where I am outside of US. So forget about that. Good video, good tips.
Thank you Clara! Yes, most of the banks know by now but yet there are still some that don't. I just had a styling client who's cards were declined because she did not notify her bank so they thought it was a fraudulent activity. She had to call them from the store, wait until they verify her, etc. So to avoid all that, it's always a good practice to call in advance.
I was looking into traveling there by my self too. Never done it before, but I heard lots of people traveling alone. Any recommendation what traveling agency to use? Have a safe trip!
Good for you!! I'm also traveling to Italy for the first time and SOLO too! I'll be going at the end of Sept to early Oct with a solo travel tour group. We'll start in Venice, then head to Florence and then Rome. But I really wanna see the Amalfi Coast so I've even extended my trip 2 extra days (in which I'll be on my own) but I've traveled to Europe a few times so I'm comfortable moving around on my own. I've extended my trip 2 extra days as I've even booked a stay overnight on the Amalfi Coast in Positano 😁 I could have done a day trip but I want to spend more than just 2hrs exploring Positano. 🙂
Would you recommend purchasing train tickets from Milan to Como and to Bergamo ahead of time or just before the trip. Also Should you recommend getting Lake Como ferry tickets ahead of time. The trip is the first 2 weeks of October .
Right. With global warming February has got a sort of Spring month in Italy. It is rarely rainy as well; actually first weeks of Spring are the rainy periods in these last few years.

I just saw this video, I know it's from 2 years ago, but I have been watching your videos as I am planning my trip to Italy, to this day, do you still recommend to travel on February?
I still recommend February😊 If you plan on traveling to Rome, here is a guide on what to do in Rome in February...hope you'll find it useful and informative: ua-cam.com/video/hRw49VfnauY/v-deo.html
Wow, just yesterday I was thinking to go in February! I used to travel off season but can't do it this fall...maybe, February! This is the first time I've seen your channel so it must be fate! I'm aiming to go to Salerno and take a train up to Campobasso where I have relatves I want to meet...that means COLD...but that's OK!
Just found your channel and I had to say thank you for all the tips! We’re finally visiting Italy in a month and it’s felt a bit overwhelming to plan but your tips have put me at ease. We are visiting several cities in 10 days but hope to go back someday and put more focus on one or two cities. Again thanks for the tips! New subscriber! 😉

You nailed it! Excellent information and I will definitely consider traveling to Italy next February and using your recommendations. Thank you so much 🤗.
Thank you for the info! My wife and I have booked our first ever trip together! We are coming to Italy in the beginning of November for our long awaited honey moon! super super pumped for this, it is a dream come true for us! From what I have read it seems we should expect a decent amount of rain in November??
Jared, I am so excited for you! What a special trip! Yes, it does rain in November, but it depends on the year. You might get a "rainy" November or you might not catch rain a single day. Also, since you are coming at the beginning of November, there is a big chance you will be fine. But even if it does rain, I know you will have the most amazing time!
You can definitely travel with luggage. There are tons of storage spaces throughout Rome as well as Roma Termini. Just read the reviews to make sure its a legitimate one.
Shes very bubbly and beautiful and stylish, but i didn’t learn everythingi need to know for my first trip as she claimed. I learned a few but most are not really need to know. But i enjoyed her. Great personality and i love her outfit.
Is it more common to pay in card or cash? Also whats the culture of tipping there? I will be heading to Rome on the 10th of May and I am loving these tips :)
Merissa, you can definitely pay with the card in most places. Italians do prefer you pay cash if you are buying something small, like a bottle of water or espresso. But in most cases-definitely a card. As far as tips, there is no culture of leaving 10%-20% tips. It's honestly whatever you want to leave, if anything! So if you had a great service-you can leave a tip but no one is expecting from you a certain percentage.
your videos are great, lots of information,im gonna take your advice on not to go to too many places in 1 trip, but we have difficult time on choosing what part of italy best to visit
Hi there. I'm travelling to Rome with my 13 year old daughter. Do you still have your food tour? Where should we stay? I love, love, love your UA-cam videos. So helpful
Thanks for the telling explanations! I organize tours from Isreal to Jewish sites, for already 13 years. Mainly to graves of Torah sages (Maharam Padova, for instance). Do you happen to know things about interesting sites of Jewish sites? And maybe koshed food and wine? Thanks in any case, and again, I enjoyed very much this video of yours.
Thank you Lynn! I don't know if you've seen it already, but I have a video on the train system in Italy. Hopefully, you will find it helpful. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/GpZtYQRf8Y8/v-deo.html
The short answer is no. The long answer - it depends if you are traveling during the busy season, where you are going, etc. Usually, you can buy them the day of the departure, but I'd still try to get them in advance if you are traveling during the high season, just in case. I go into great details about traveling Italy by train in this video ua-cam.com/video/GpZtYQRf8Y8/v-deo.html
My husband and I are doing a tour of Southern Italy, starting in Naples at the beginning of March 2023. We have a couple of days on our own before our tour starts and were thinking of doing a day trip to Rome. Is this possible and if so, what's the best way to do it? Your video was so informative! Thank you so much!!!
Happy that you found it informative! Wanted to make sure you guys are well-prepared. Some of these things you can only learn when you live here. Have the most amazing time in Italy!
Wow i love your videos . I'm an Indian planning to come in july for my medical treatment . I started watching your videos & loving every information . Thank you
It depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. But typically we don't have big crowds in January so the prices tend to be lower. It's also the time for sales across Italy, so you can find some amazing deals if you know where to shop. And of course, it's a great month for skiing.
Awesome awesome video. It feels like I'm getting inside secrets about traveling to Italy from a good friend! I now now that February is a great month to go. Seeing your eyes light up about the weather convinced me. May not get there this year, but that's ok. I can go next Feb.
Thanks for your video. We are about to make our first trip to Italy in May, after being canceled twice due to covid. We are very excited but also a little nervous. We will be traveling with a tour group. My question, should we bring cash with us, or do places accept our debit and credit cards? Also are ATM machines readily available like they are here in the US? Thank you you're so sweet!
Hi Donna! Most places in Italy accept debit cards/credit cards, but I would recommend to bring some cash with you just in case you want to tip someone or grab a cup of coffee (in Italy in most places you cannot add a tip on the card and usually they pay with cash for small items like coffee.) As far as ATM machines-yes, you can find them everywhere unless you are in a remote location. Most banks in Italy, just like in the U.S., have ATM machines outside. I would avoid Euronet ATM machines at all cost.

your videos are great, lots of information,im gonna take your advice on not to go to too many places in 1 trip, but we have difficult time on choosing what part of italy best to visit
Thank you Yelena! I can understand that, there is so much to see and experience in Italy, especially if you are traveling here for the first time.

Hi there. I'm travelling to Rome with my 13 year old daughter. Do you still have your food tour? Where should we stay? I love, love, love your UA-cam videos. So helpful
Hi Alana! Yes, I still have food tours :) I'd recommend to stay around Spanish Steps, Pantheon or Piazza Navona.
you are amazing tanks for making the video
My pleasure Omar!
This is great info because I was definitely looking to visit Italy in august. Not anymore lol
Please don't lol Especially, during the middle of August.
Love this outfit
Thank you!
Sorry I haven't emailed you yet, I work crazy hours. But I do want you to shop for me still. I'll get some free time soon.
Hmmm....I just planed August holidays to Italy to avoid the crowds in my country Greece... Not good idea i guess...😅😅
Haha! We are swapping places as I am going to Greece in August🤣
Well done! Thank you so much for these amazing details!
Thank YOU, Sema!
Hi babes, love your content! Was wondering how Italy is like in June?
It depends where in Italy, but mainly pretty hot and humid.
@stayFabulousTL how about July what the weather ?
Preferred trains? Any to avoid? Thank you I’ve enjoyed your informative tips!
Thank you Lynn! I don't know if you've seen it already, but I have a video on the train system in Italy. Hopefully, you will find it helpful. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/GpZtYQRf8Y8/v-deo.html
Thank you so much, this was wonderful!!
My pleasure!
For the trains, do we need to buy our tickets days in advance?
The short answer is no. The long answer - it depends if you are traveling during the busy season, where you are going, etc. Usually, you can buy them the day of the departure, but I'd still try to get them in advance if you are traveling during the high season, just in case. I go into great details about traveling Italy by train in this video ua-cam.com/video/GpZtYQRf8Y8/v-deo.html
Do you have any videos or suggestions about traveling to Sicily?
I don't. To be honest, not my favorite part of Italy🤷♀️
Thank you. It was informative.
thank you for you tips!!
My pleasure!
do you suggest traveling in September?
September is a great month weather-wise, but it will be very crowded and expensive.
Good video. I enjoyed your advice
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the tips. I want to visit Europe and I think Italy is at the top of my list. These are great advices. Thank you from Canada.
My pleasure Louis!
My pleasure Francine! Yes, it's definitely possible. I would take a train to Rome.
So incredibly informative!!! Thank you, Anastasiya, for sharing your knowledge!!! My family and I are going to Italy, and spending a few days in Rome.
Happy that you found it informative! Wanted to make sure you guys are well-prepared. Some of these things you can only learn when you live here. Have the most amazing time in Italy!
Great tips! We are going to Italy this summer and these were really helpful!
Thank you! Happy that you found them useful. Have the best time!
Hello lovely,
When boarding the train can you take your suitcase into the carriage?
The short answer is yes, you can. I go over the entire process in details in this video ua-cam.com/video/GpZtYQRf8Y8/v-deo.html

Hi, what's your suggestion about a trip in second week of January
It depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. But typically we don't have big crowds in January so the prices tend to be lower. It's also the time for sales across Italy, so you can find some amazing deals if you know where to shop. And of course, it's a great month for skiing.
Awesome awesome video. It feels like I'm getting inside secrets about traveling to Italy from a good friend!
I now now that February is a great month to go. Seeing your eyes light up about the weather convinced me. May not get there this year, but that's ok. I can go next Feb.
Thank you Jay!
@@StayFabulousTL Thank you so much for your response. That's makes me feel more comfortable.
My pleasure! Have the best time!
