  • We’re Roebuck calling in the picturesque wilderness of Hampshire with Ian Harford and Owen Beardsmore.
Welcome to Great British Shooting on Team Wild TV.
It’s a slightly damp but warm July morning in Hampshire as Ian and Owen head out early for an epic Roebuck stalking adventure. The humid temperature is key when it comes to calling Roebucks. The plan for today is to take up in a highseat and call in a strong buck that operates along the valley.
As they begin their approach, Ian and Owen come across a three-month-old kid. The roe is already beginning to develop; the conditions in Hampshire are perfect for growing big deer. Roe Does typically give birth to twins, it is not long until Ian spots both kids grazing together. It's an amazing experience to see nature up close like this.
Now set up in a highseat, Owen begins to call and it doesn’t take long for the illusive Buck to appear in the clearing. Ian patiently waits for Buck to offer a clear, safe shot. Once in position Ian squeezes the trigger and the Buck is quickly dispatched.
The shot hit perfectly leaving no meat damage. It has been another incredible day out in the Great British countryside.
Tune into Team Wild TV next week for the second episode in the Great British Shooting series. On next weeks episode, Team Wild TV joins Ian Harford and Steve Wild in Staffordshire for a day in the hide. Wearing Realtree Max-5 camouflage Ian and Steve spend the day pigeon shooting.

Great video but I have to ask do you not think the 308 was too much gun for a roe? it was only 80m? I take out roes at 100-150 meters with a 222 with no meat damage.. I would have liked to seen the gaping hole the 308 left behind..
