Corey, I hope you do more rhythm lessons! Good rhythm lessons are hard to come by. Everyone is teaching lead when there are so many newer players that should be working on rhythm. Appreciate you!
This is spot on Matt, absolute dearth of quality rhythm lessons on here. Thanks to Corey, think I might be on the right channel now to resolve that at last.
I would love to see a a lesson in which no guitars are discussed but rather your other tools which provide so much to your tone. Kind of like turning the camera around so we can see the other goodies you use to boggle our minds. Not to knock the guitars. The Junior was a joy to behold, and even better to hear.
Man I definitely will sign up... I see 2 previews thrill is gone n other one and I got both in less than hour...cool way to xplain. !!! And the rhythms
I appreciate your free help you give us with these lessons , you’ve invested hard earned money in the equipment for the videos not to mention in your instruments and pedals but none of that would make any difference without the talent and hours of dedication you’ve given perfecting your craft. I appreciate you sharing licks and writing pieces to help anyone who will put the effort into learning guitar The act of kindness Mark Agnesi showed in loaning that JR was also above and beyond and deserves another mention so thank you both
Hey Corey, now.. I say NOW.. you’re talkin’ to me! I love everything you put out here for us.. but THIS is my language!! Grooves like this are infectious, and can’t be denied! Rockin’, Bluesy, ‘Snarly’ (as said), and Bad!!! Keep on, keepin’ on, Brother!!! 👍🎸✌️
That’s right, Corey Congilio rocks hard. 🤘Between all your tasteful play Corey, I forgot you’re badass too. 😎 Love it dude! Thanks again for sharing. The Junior and Marshall sound amazing!
Love your lessons, Cory, and this guitar just kills me. I love the single P90. Will respectfully disagree with you though on the fat neck comfort. As I enter my 60s, oncoming arthritis doesn't work very well on a fat neck. The farther the thumb is from my finger tips the more it pulls apart on my joints. The thinner profile neck applies less pressure and I don't have to man handle the neck so hard. I'm hoping to get at least ten more years before my hands fail me completely.
Oh man I can't wait to hear your singing voice along side your stellar playing! And such a thoughtful charity. Inspiring! ALSO...that Jr.just absolutely blisters.
Love your lessons, this one really tied together a number of blues chord voicings that go right into the "trick bag". It is a great way to have germs of new ideas.
Great lesson, would love to see more rhythm guitar lessons like that, UA-cam is full of lead guitar lesson which is cool but lacks of great ones like you just did :D
hey Corey...nice video and shuffle...i like it...and i have always been a big friend of FAT necks...as you say...one plays far more "relaxed" with less tension in your hand.....nice to hear you share this view....:-) and good luck and fun with your recording next week.....thumbs up....
I'm certain Mark Agnesi has forgotten me but he dealt with me on two guitar purchases from his time working at Norm's Guitars!! Both however were Fender Strats.....sorry Gibson. Can't be sleepy whilst working on this very cool and different fun rock rhythm, C.C. !!! Jim C.
Awesome playing and teaching! Really inspiring. Great blues rock style. I couldn't agree more about having a thicker C shape neck... I got myself a Fender Player Strat to get into playing a few years ago (great guitar btw), but a very thin neck. Just got a Slash Les Paul with 43mm nut width and nice chunky C profile... Still love my skinny strat, but the Les Paul is so much more comfy for big bends and really digging into rhythm playing. Keep rockin' 🤘
Hi Corey, I feel so lucky to have discovered your channel. I don't remember having so much fun for such a long time. This is better than girls! Just one thing: How do you manage to get absolutely no noise/hum from that guitar? I watched this video with a Melody Maker/2 P90s Gibson and the hum really diminishes the fun. And a noise gate kills the sound. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you so much!
A friend of mine, in persuading me to have built an SG Junior stated “real men only need one pick up.“ I believe then, but after watching this video many times, I feel like getting it tattooed on my forehead
A smokin hot lesson on a cool Autumn day! Thanks Corey! and BTW, I'm practicing in my new Corey Congilio hoodie sweatshirt. Granted it doesn't help me play any better, but man, it's comfy and I feel like a rock star while I'm trying to learn some new licks....😂😎🎸🎸😎
What are the earpieces you’re wearing? I think I see a microphone near your neck, so I suspect that’s what they are, but I was curious if they might be for ear protection as well. If you ever care to comment on your protection, as a 74-year-old former artilleryman, it would be very helpful for those who may not be aware of the risk to their hearing that loud music poses
Hey Charlie. I'm wearing what we call In Ear Monitors. They're basically headphones molded to your ears. They block out a lot of sound but, frankly are overkill. You see many touring artists use these and I'm not using them for protection so much as for listening to myself without having open speakers bleed into my lavalier mic. Hope that helps!
Great lesson Corey, thanks. Looking forward to the new course, is that with TrueFire? Guitar sounds great, but it's too expensive for me lol, I'm sure you could get as good a sound for a lot less haha. Come to think of it, whichever guitar you play sounds good in your hands 😀

I really enjoy the way you teach it is very smooth and you speak to all levels of guitar intellect the same.
Appreciate that!
This is great 👍 Amazing playing Corey!
Corey, I hope you do more rhythm lessons! Good rhythm lessons are hard to come by. Everyone is teaching lead when there are so many newer players that should be working on rhythm. Appreciate you!
More to come!
Totally agree with Matt, there are far too few good rhythm teachers out there today.
This is spot on Matt, absolute dearth of quality rhythm lessons on here. Thanks to Corey, think I might be on the right channel now to resolve that at last.
I'm so happy to find Corey's channel. I've broken my "pentatonic lock" and found several new ways for rhythm playing. Thank you so much!
Dude. This is amazing. I wish I was ready for you. But you are speaking another language. 😊
That guitar tone is phenomenal!! 🔥🔥
I would love to see a a lesson in which no guitars are discussed but rather your other tools which provide so much to your tone. Maybe one day!
That was absolutely on fire with tons of great tone and phrasing swagger !!!
Great lesson and amazing sounding guitar! It doesn't get more rock and roll than spicy P90's through a Marshall!!!
Couldn't agree more!
Congrats on your upcoming LP and good on ya' for what you're doing with your charity! You are da man, Corey
Thx so much!
Gibson is so awesome. That’s awesome of Mark !
Man I definitely will sign up... I see 2 previews thrill is gone n other one and I got both in less than hour...cool way to xplain. !!! And the rhythms
I played this at the guitar store..yeah having so much fun 🔥
I still play this all the time. It's great to just jam it and solo with it. This also inspired me to get a DC Jr which I love. Pure gold.
Nice!

Appreciate that. Not often do folks realize how much work goes into providing lessons and content. Thx for watching and commenting
Looking forward to your album!
Thx!
another thing I like is as you teach and play I am already hearing where I would use my modal phrasing
I agree with DavidT. I hope to learn to play a song like this with my new Ditto Looper😂🤟🤟maybe?!
You totally can!
Love your videos...simple and concise. I always pick up a little something from them. Thanks Corey!
My pleasure!
Im Johnny Come Lately but i absolutely love this stuff and gotta go grab my ax now.
On a bigger neck like the older Nash T style I can get alot of support to really dig in to my bends.
Great lesson! Your the rhythm man for blues and also your leads. I’ve purchased a lot of your course! You the blues man!
Appreciate that so much!
You are a great teacher, thank you for your hard work and your personality really shines through and doesn't intimidate the viewer. thank you.
Appreciate that!
That’s right, Corey Congilio rocks hard. 🤘Between all your tasteful play Corey, I forgot you’re badass too. 😎

Great to hear! Wish I had a good recommendation for the hum. Not sure why it wasn’t super noisy here. Thx!
A friend of mine, in persuading me to have built an SG Junior stated “real men only need one pick up.“ I believe then, but after watching this video many times, I feel like getting it tattooed on my forehead
What was that thing at 3:24? Ouch!

oh wow, thanks so much!
Great lesson! Why is B called the 6th of D#? Shouldn't that be C?
im totally in agreement with you on the fatter neck thesis exactly for the reasons you say. Less strain on the palm aside from the fatter sound
love it!
Awwwwwww, man.....another P90 killin' my tone jones....I really do need a P90 axe! I'll be looking for your record, Amigo!
Haha, thanks!
I just ran across you, the tone had me but the playing tho. Subbed
Thx so much!
Great lesson,as always,I believe I would hide that guitar in secret place that I only know 😏.just kiddin 😏
Haha, thanks!

Do you give online lessons ?
Corey do you do private lessons and if so how do I reach out to you
Hi Ray. Unfortunately, I don’t offer private lessons. Thanks for asking though!
What are your thoughts on the new Gibson LP JR ? The stock one straight from Gibson ..
Haven't played one but, a friend said it was nice!
That’s sounds great! What are your settings on the Marshall?
All tone knobs were at 8, V1 at noon, V2 at o oclock
The algorithm took me away for a couple weeks but I am happily back!
Wow
Shit! That solo was such a rock’n’roll. Love it !!!
Thx!
Corey 😘😍
The 7/sus4 thing is the way uptown funk begins
That is f^@ng rippen my man . Wicked tone that guitar will cut through any mix n.p
Have you ordered yours yet?
