Im so grateful for your lessons..very good teaching approach...gets me everytime it looks so difficult the first time but you really break it down so well...blows my mind when i can move those shapes around..really a very unique way of teaching play by yourself...mahalo
Pure inspiration. I feel so lucky to find this today - it just immediately clicked. I can say this has definitely raised my game; opened up the fret board.. I'm using these "diads" and connecting them to the minor pentatonic scale pattern (or the natural minor diatonic) that fits wherever I land. Thank you Corey. I'm going to now figure out how to do this over some chord changes/progressions.
Good gracious Congilio! Another killer lesson dude. It’s always fun, useful, effective and sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing and shedding light like this.
Thank you Corey for another great lesson! You are an inspiration to an old dog like me, who only wishes had met you much earlier in my life... You're the best guitar teacher around the web.
I have the ss se version in stone blue and just got a seymour duncan lil 59 to put in the bridge Love the guitar, midnight rose is a great color option loved the vid corey! Thanks
All of your lessons are really fantastic, but this one was an eye opener. Such a simple, general concept that I never considered 😅 Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks Corey. This lesson will really help move my playing up a notch. Thanks for creating such great content. Look forward to the lesson on when the chord changes.
Great video, both the lesson and the gear info 👍🏻. I can see some newer players taking that two-note lesson and getting pretty excited because it is relatively simple to a more advanced player but sounds like a million bucks! Awesome sounding axe there.
I think this is my first time watching one of your videos. I laughed out loud when you mentioned Lindsey Buckingham, and played that little, instantly-recognizable snippet. Very nice lesson. Thank you. Subscribed.
Great lesson again Corey! Thank you for sharing your time with us. I have learned so much from you on these videos as well as your course materials. Question: I notice that you leave the guitars hanging on the wall. Do you leave them out in the winter time as well when there is no humidity in the air? Do you use a special humidification system for the room for winter time? I can never keep enough humidity in my music room during the winter months.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thankfully, Nashville is kind to guitars but yes, I do humidify them in the winter.I keep an eye on the hygrometer and keep it at 45-50%. If you live in a drier climate, the case is always the best place for them!
Great lesson. In the tab, it looks like just 2 notes are played at a time, but in the video it looks like you are hitting all the strings. Are you muting most of the notes or playing all of the notes?
Hi from Italy and thanks for the good lesson, Corey. I wanted to ask why did you choose the two middle strings of the guitar? Maybe because they sound better for this purpose? Or maybe because they are close to the low string of LA? Or maybe to make the lesson easier?

Stuff like this reminds me of how much I don't know I understand the concept but would never have thought of it on my own
Man..
Corey love your playing always giving your all in every small thing you play. Very inspiring.
Appreciate that! Thx!!
That is soo handy, great groove alternative to move up the scale 🙏👍

I haven’t even finished the lesson and I have to stop. Where were you 38 years ago when I started, I would be famous by now😂🤓🤟❤️
Ha! There's hope for all of us!
Love this channel!!!
Thx!
another good lesson, lot's of room to experiment. I needed this as I tend to make things to complicated...lol
I like the sound...
That is cool.
Another great lesson!!! Thank you!!!
Thx Mark!
Dude you are so good
I appreciate it
Great lesson! Thx, Corey!
Glad you enjoyed!
Wow!
Felt like I was in the Virgin Islands again. So much feel.
Absolutely beautiful!
How do I learn these major/minor 3rds and apply them in other keys?

Nice! Let’s hope Fleetwood Mac don’t try to demonetize your video for use of thirds!
😂
Another great lesson Corey! Thank you so much. Are you going to be doing anything we could play for Christmas??
Mmm…although I do enjoy some holiday songs, I don’t play them much 🤷🏻♂️
Excelente ...
That prs sounds more like a strat than a strat. Nice
😂
Hi from Italy and thanks for the good lesson, Corey.
I wanted to ask why did you choose the two middle strings of the guitar? Maybe because they sound better for this purpose? Or maybe because they are close to the low string of LA? Or maybe to make the lesson easier?
Thx for that and the question. In my experience, the middle 4 strings of the guitar work best in ensemble playing of many types.
...I just love the G Fingering...
W0W!
Great stuff. What model PRS?
Silver sky!
Just wondered your thoughts on Lindsay Buckingham’s Wait for you? I’ve been obsessed with this blues riff as of late.
Man, that is a killer track!
Nice lesson. When the progression changes off the Am to Dm (for example) would those licks work or change to the Dm versions of those?
Sort of...I would still think of staying in the key of Am/C. So, be sure to try em, F and C as good approach chord shapes.
Did you get a new PRS Corey? Nice axe.
Nope, I've had that one. Just don't play it much
"Funky good!"
the 6 no votes need to get over lack of taste from covid. Love your clean and tasteful playing
Haha, thanks so much!

Let's play a D minor and call it Dorian.
Jeez.............what can your say? so 'in the pocket' (do they say that in the USA?)
Haha we do! Thx!
It's the sob rock guitar!
Almost! Not quite that pink!
