      So do you file your claim under Gulf War Syndrome or be specific like for me I developed asthma and IBS

    • @mrtruth81
      @mrtruth81 2 роки тому

      @@dk1597 You can start off filing a claim for the Gulf War veteran with undiagnosed illness. Then fill out and submit the 21-4138, STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF CLAIM for each individual Claim. One for asthma and one for IBS and all supportive medical records. Be as descriptive as possible in the statement in support of claim. Reach out to me with any questions. I just recently got SC for CFS, IBS, and Arrhythmias.

      You still have to show evidence that you have one of the conditions ie. Chronic fatigue syndrome, IBS, fibromyalgia. Once you show proof of one of these then the VA will presume your condition was caused by Gulf War service. Then your specific symptoms will be rated. How it is rated can be seen on the appropriate dbq. Filing a claim starts this process.

    I was a military police and we had burn pit at the 720 Military Police. I had pit duty twice a week. The other days we were station a the oil well fires. I clearly remember Mrs. Dole wearing a face mask getting off the bus. But we had no protection. So out burn pits do not count, oil field fires do not count.

    My QTC C and P examiner said, this kind of experiences was 30 years ago, so so what!!!! QTC Eugene Oregon, Dr. Bischoff MD, I told him all these things We endured, and He just gas lit me with, "What you told me you were in A landfill , you were surrounded Oil fires, you burned human wastes for Hours on end, I dont see how you can claim these things are responsible for what you're going thru over the years! SO I am going to personally recommend non service connection of any type. I was in Shock! I'm on max dose of Qsymia, oxygen levels are 99-97, as soon as I go off 2 months later, I can't hardly function. Oxygen levels are 92-93 percent and during a 2nd sleep apnea study off therapy my oxygen levels were at 83 percent. And I have to take 3 blood pressure medications. And even being on metformin and wygovee I struggle to keep weight off. I had to go through gastric bypass surgery a few years ago. Before deployment I was 215 pounds and jacked, 52 inch chest and 20 inch arms and small waist. Then within 2 years I gained over 100 pounds and have asthma. Tired all the time, got out in June of 2013. Just started filing, for things ptsd, asthma is what passed so far, just did 2nd sleep apnea study for C&P exam and diabetes. Still waiting on others I filed for. F' aholes to deal with.

    Thanks for all the great info. Persian Gulf War veteran here. Had a sleep study done and was diagnosed with severe mixed sleep apnea before 31 Dec 2021 and prescribed a CPAP machine and therapy. What is the latest on the Presumptive route for SC using the “sleep disturbances” or “respiratory problems” symptoms that fall under the “Undiagnosed Illness” category. I hear/read many stories of denial for sleep apnea - even with confirmed diagnosis/CPAP issuance - under those symptoms. I understand that sleep apnea in and of itself is not a “Presumptive” condition, but shouldn’t it be able to get Service Connection by virtue of it being a “sleep disturbance” which is one of the actual listed symptoms in the “Undiagnosed illness” category of the Persian Gulf War Presumptive conditions? Have you, or anyone reading this, heard of anyone successfully claiming sleep apnea under the Presumptive process? Thanks!

      The pictures are ok, but the best is VA form 21-4138, STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF CLAIM. This is what you use to explain your condition and how it has affected your life. Along with that will be all and any medical records to verify your claim. Just being in the SWATO during the gulf war is considered to be an environmental hazard which justifies the presumptive claim. If your DD-214 says you were in Iraq in 2003, the picture of the burn pit is mute.

    • @tony400m4

      Skin conditions are considered among the "undiagnosed illnesses" in VA's Gulf War Presumption if the condition is rated at 10 percent or higher. For VA purposes, the Persian Gulf War refers to service in the Southwest Asia theater of military operations beginning on August 2, 1990. At present time, the period for the Persian Gulf War extends to December 31, 2026.
