It's kind of funny, how Dweezil listens and comments without the usual "Oh!"s," Ah!"s and "Wow!" to Aaron's playing, which is no sign of disrespect, it just shows in which environment he grew up. Great video!
What a charming dude Aaron is. Love him, love his music, and love the way he can speak on his music. I don't sense any pretentious approach or materialistic necessity for gear/equipment. He's just dedicated, has a sound and vision he needs to reach, and he gets there. He's on a serious journey and we're lucky to have him as a tour guide. I sometimes hear shit about fans meeting him in person, they think he's dismissive or hard to please maybe? I've met him once years ago, and you can tell that his dedication to the music is deep. He has his sights set, he's not there to chit chat and bullshit, so I think some may take that the wrong way. Love this dude.
The artists that Aaron Marshall mentioned when asked who he is listening to, is inspired by, or thinks will influence the future of guitar: Jakub Zytecki Stephen Taranto Owane Sims Cashion Rick Graham Todd Pritchard Beau Diakowicz Mateus Asato
What an amazing musician! Aaron and Intervals stand out with their melody-centric approach. Fantastic musicianship. Thanks for a great video! Hats off for mentioning Jakub Zytecki & Owane :)
I love the fact that videos like that shift away from stuff like : check out this lick which only provides wuick fixes for a lot of guitarists out there. Instead they talk about really important concepts like dynamic. Wonderful episode!
This and the Wayne Krantz episode are my all time favorites! Quality stuff, these vidoes. Since a few fans are posting requests, I'd love to see DZ interview the guys mentioned by Aaron as well as an episode with Jimmy Herring.
@Mike G Obviously you are entitled to your opinion but I disagree... the subtle changes and nuances, the crazy clean playing... these are the things that make me come back and listen to Aaron
For anyone who's looking for the the people he mentioned since the spellings are messed up in the caption: Jakub Zytecki, Stephen Taranto, Owane, Sims Cashion and Beau Diakowicz.
Heck yeah, I like how hip he is to modern guitar music/scenes. Even hearing him say "djent" is epic hahaha imagine if his dad were alive now to hear some of this new stuff...
Aaron Marshall is a class act, all the way. I used to see him around Toronto, when he was one of the 2 sick guitarists for "Speak of the Devil", the other was David Mooney who was a different style, but shit he was amazing too. It was actually a hard call on who was better, so much talent between the 2. Hahahaaa, I recently discovered that Mooney, is actually a dude called "BadLook", it's electronic with lots of real guitars and drums, EP's called Momentum and even though it's so different, it's fucking sick !!! I believe these guys are still really tight, both really cool dudes.
Sweet shit I didnt know Dweezil Zappa was such a frickin beast O_O. I already knew coming into this that Aaron isn't from this planet but holy freakin crap way to go Dweezil!
Check out our episode of Guitar Power featuring Yvette Young of Covet! ddar.io/YvetteYoung

Thank you for noting. Please continue to note this request and its constant stream of likes, and make it happen.
Please...
Aaron got me out of drop tuning and made me realise how badass standard could be. Such a sick musician
Ive done the same thing but we play in drop d. I think it makes the notes and chords more noticeable in a live setting
@@jaredy18 Fair enough man
I kinda miss their 7 string drop G# sexiness 🙁
And now he's back at drop again 😂
He's amazing no matter what tunning he uses
“Pick a key and we go” proceeds to rip without even thinking. I hope one day I can be that fluent on the guitar.
Nice shoutout for Jakub Zytecki. That kid blows my mind
Jakub is so incredibly underrated. I much prefer him over Aaron.
He’s been my favorite guitarist for a minute now. Glad to see some kudos for him!
Jakub is new prog to me....
@@rollpoze Jakub is the new genre to me! Pushing the boundaries in every way!
Dweezil is the best host for this kind of thing.
Could not agree more!
He's a monster guitarist as well

I think he just comes off as an ass sometimes. He has that guitar-hero vibe. You can just feel how much he loves himself in every he puts out there.
