Such a well-realized character. Full of flaws, contradictions, and good intentions. So very human
She truly was nothing but a pawn and she knew it but her father had her so under his thumb, she felt she could do nothing. She still gave back hurt for hurt when she didn't have to but she is understandable.
i’ve never imagined i’d feel for her as much as i did this season. i thought she was the most annoying hypocritical character out there, and yet this final scene made me weep for her. what a truly tragic character.

She looks like broken-hearted from the rejection of Rhaenyra (in a romantic way); she's definitely in love with Rhae2x, she just can't admit it. She even invited her to "come with me"; to "wander in the wilderness". Such a tragic love story for both of them
Olivia Cooke is just an amazing actress ❤
She forces her son onto the throne who is kicking and screaming to not do it, then doesn't give him any actual advice when he asks her for some and instead she calls him useless and now that things haven't gone her way she immediately betrays her sons she spent all of that time to protect. Absolute butchery of the character.
she forced it on Aegon because Otto manipulated her into thinking Rhaenerya would kill or have no choice to kill her children to secure her claim. There's no doubt Daemon or maybe a ruthless lord supporting Rhaenerya would kill her children to strengthen Rhaenerya's claim

I cant believe they made Alicent betray her family. That is not in the books and this is so stupid. Literally throws her child Daeron and house Hightower under the bus. Such a bad writing
Allison did not betray her family. She did what was best for them they would’ve kept the wars going nobody would’ve survive
@@AbrionnaJohnson That is just not right. Her decision would lead to death of Aemond, Aegon, Daeron and the execution of lord Hightower and Otto just to save Heleana and go hiding. While on the other hand if greens win basically everyone might survive

The blacks have SEVEN if the war would have continued every single Hightower would have died alicent had to choose between two dead sons or all four of them and her only grandchild that without thinking about all the common ppl that will keep on dying if alicent won’t do anything
However while it make sense for her to betray her kids it’s still weird that she made that choice so quickly

@@johannesaarto1631 Daeron is only sixteen, younger than rhaenyras oldest son which make his claim weaker than his.
His dragon is smaller than most unlike Vhagar so he isnt realy a threat so unless for some reason Rhaynera and alicent just found it a no brainer that he would be killed too so didnt even bother talk about it, he can be speared and even if he cant
its still leave alicent with one girl alive over four dead

мне кажется её бы уговаривали. Деймон, её совет, да думаю даже Джейс. возможно из простолюдин кто-то бы поднял восстание и Рейнире бы не осталось ничего кроме как действительно убить Эйгона чтобы укрепить свои права на трон. так что думаю Отто мыслил не с точки зрения характера Рейниры, а с точки зрения политики и стратегии.
