Oh sweet Helaena. I was LOL at her speech during dinner. You can hear Daemon chuckling in the background. She basically offered such a diss to her husband/brother LOL, it's so hilarious. And Otto was like 'Good!'--I think I can safely say Otto treats Helaena better than he did Alicent. He used Alicent as a pawn, with Helaena, he doesn't have to do this so he can freely be a grandfather to her....

We must take into account that, apart from being a mother, Alicent is also the queen, and well, she can't do everything.

HELAENA DANCED LIKE A HAPPY CHILD
Helaena was the stand-out for me in Season 2, she's so innocent and loveable yet tragic at the same time.
She is gorgeous. She also deserves better. Poor girl
The scene between Helaena and Jace always kills me. Shows what the future could have been if they were king and queen. I hope we get a scene between them on season 3.

Don't think that's gonna happen because Jace dies before Rhaenyra invades Kings Landing and takes the throne. So that scene is the last scene we will see between the 2 of them

And according to the books, she goes crazy after Jaehaerys's death and jumps from a window until she falls on some spikes, dying instantly (or so I seem to remember, I didn't read the books jet)
I don't know what will happen to her in the future.
Helaena and Jace look so cute together actually
They remind me of Margaery Tyrell and Tommen Baratheon actually. The King and Queen that could have brought peace
Those dreams are really nothing but a curse. It takes everything from this girl, for example. She never was able to make friends or socialise, simply due to seeing and knowing things she couldn't even understand yet.
It'd be easier if it made her an omniscient, but her dreams only grant her very specific foresight on certain matters. When she's told by Alicent about the funeral procession, she doesn't even understand the whys of it all. She knows things before they happen, but that curse won't even let her participate in the real world long enough to understand the basics of her daily life.
Then later, because of that, she even gaslights herself into thinking that she has no right to grief. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Alicent always seems to protect her instinctively

Alicent slowly understanding Helena and realizing she simply wants to play with her bugs in peace. Since they’ve changed a lot of her character I HOPE they keep her alive. I know she’s suppose to die due to her grief but I just want Helena to live a peaceful life away from everyone with her dragon. She deserves peace.

Helaena apparently still dies by suicide but GRRM was expressing that her death is pointless because there’s no built up to it since Maelor doesn’t exist in the shows therefore blood and cheese didn’t have that much of an impact as he liked. He just had a lot of disagreements over the direction of the show and how the story is being adapted and changed.

Seriously, if ol' Vyssie kept her closer, he prolly would have heard her more often and figured out that she was 'Dragon-Day-Dreaming'.
He, being all concerned with prophecies and destiny, woulda enjoyed that.
Viserys was never a good father, he had a preference towards Rhaenyra, he only loved her (or that's what it seems).
So maybe that's why he never wanted to spend time with her or listen to her prophecies.
Yes, i understand that, but it doesn't mean that he Is a good person, father or king, you are not right if you think that.

He was also 15+ years older when he had his kids with Alicent!!! Man was barely alive - by the time Rhaeynera was capable and he was failing in health, he and Alicent were having BABIES. Now I'm not saying Viserys is the best dad ever. Now OTTO HIGHTOWER however, pimping his daughter out to an old ass king just for power!!! He's the real shit as dad and reason for this war. OR had Alicent agreed to Helaena marrying Jace, their son would be Targaryen on both sides and would have made the dance an impossibility.
Everyone is blaming Alicent for fucking uo her kids and maybe she did. Maybe they could do better but at least she was there. She had to act like both mother and father because that poor excuse of a king didn't. Yet the same people praise Viserys for being good father. No. You are not good parent if you are good to just one kid and others you leave neglected

Only blame Alicent it's wrong, she doesn't have 100% the blame, Viserys has it too and much more than her
She was horrible in the books, so stop trying to defend her, she was just the same as viserys, they just don’t know how to screen-write anymore

Who praised Viserys of being a good father? LOL. People who have eyes should know that he clearly was not that good of a father. Rhaenyra (his 'golden child') had a complex all her life thanks to Viserys and his 'goal' to have a son. To be fair, Viserys did treat her better than his spares (Aegon-Aemond-Daeron-Helaena)....he barely was present to be father to his 4 'spares.' But on the other hand, his condition also prevented him to do more for any of his children, only Rhaenyra, he did much more for, so I'm not surprised the rest of the children (Aegon-Aemond-etc) felt slighted and overlooked and had their own complex thanks to that. Add that with a mother who was more than happy to remind them that Rhaenyra will be a kinslayer and kill them due to their threat to her rule, that didn't make a great growing up...
Maybe I am petty, but if Cersei Lannister is solely to blame for Joffrey then Alicent should be treated the same way. She gets absolutely no sympathy from me. After a certain point she is consciously doing things she knew caused further damage but still did them because she was miserable. Not because she truly thought these things because if she did then she wouldn't look to have any relationship with Rhaenyra going forward, yet she does. Who wants to remain the friend of a woman she truly believes would murder her children?

@@RaEy22 it feels jarring a bit. Also including a little bit of the scene before she talks feels like it flows together and could extend your videos. Especially if it’s a conversation with her and other people. It’s just my opinion but I think either cut out all the silent parts and keep only her or include the sound and maybe even a little more of the scene to give context and get you back into the moment of the show. Hope it didn’t sound mean
