Gotta admit I silently love your videos, but this one was so good that I had to comment. The music, footage and your narration are very well put together and really help cement your message into this video. I'm looking forward to visiting and skiing in Norway soon enough. Thank you and best of luck in your adventures.
Nikolai you inspire me to push myself to the edge of my comfort zone and do it with a consciousness of my surroundings while mitigating my negative effects on our planet. I deeply agree with your ideals and goals on many levels. I have been touring in the backcountry for 2 decades now. It’s so important that the next generation of snow lover understands and appreciates not only the importance of conservation and sustainable living but also how privileged we are to do this. Much love to you snow brother ❄️ shred on
It is 2021 and I am still watching this to get ready for the season. Looking forwards to other films from this year becoming available around the world.
Your a true inspiration, from trying to reduce your carbon footprint to sking amazing places and riding sick lines. Definitely going to take some notes from you and try to push myself more in skiing and protecting our beautiful planet!!!
Thanks Jeffrey! Just giving the lower emission thing a go to see what it's like. And that being said my emissions were off the charts, so not too hard to get them down
Sweet video with awesome headlamp skiing. It is somethink I really got to appreciate to get out in the evening after work during the winter. We met two winters ago in Godmother couloir if you remember. In April I will just have to take the emissions hit to get up to Lyngen again it is just too good. Till then the central Alps local to me aren't too shabby either.
Hey man! Sorry missed your comment. I still remember you being the kindest of persons in Godmother. Much appreciated! Hope your winter this year didn't end up too bad despite covid. Take care!
@@Nikolai_Schirmer Yeah I know!!! I live in Kitzbuhel part of the year and cant explain how frustrating it was to be stuck at home this Dec/Jan with a blown knee. Luckily your videos satisfied my hunger to some degree! :)
Fellow Nikolai here, (Americanized to Nik). Love these videos, I have found a recent love of skiing, but have only been on ski resort mountains. It’s my dream to shred powdered slopes like this. Love the videos, keep it up!
Sweet riding Nikolai, even more impressive doing it by flashlight! And damn, Krister really sending it 🤙Does he have parts in other freeride vids (besides Endless Winter)?
12:20 Where is the GoPro mounted in this scene? Amazing video. This is National Geographic level of storytelling and filmmaking. Hope to see your channel grow :) Keep shredding!
Wants less CO2...has BMW I3 with mined batteries and is brand new vs re-using existing vehicles, etc. The research is pretty clear on this - always better to re-use things than get new more efficient things.
This is very true, thanks for bringing that up! I'm a big fan of reusing and recycling. Once your car does eventually need to be replaced though, there is no way to move to a CO2-emission free society if we don't make every chain in our energy supply fossil free.
I have a v8 ram truck and after watching your videos I want to run cleaner fuel but I don't know how or where to get it.... Here in the states its hardly thought of.... Any help would be awesome!
I'm enjoying the content so much. Although I find the low carbon click baiting to be preposterous due to Norway's socialist economy based on a huge petroleum export.
@@Nikolai_Schirmer You are correct. The locals who are conscious should refuse to collect their social welfare checks because the government money comes from North Sea petroleum extraction and sales.
Drop the environmental bullshit. That whole movement does nothing but lie anyway. But pandering to it and try to get attention by pretending to save the environment is pathetic.
This guy is the best ski content creator on internet right now.
ye with way too few clicks!
By far!
@d darko if you like this you should watch the fifty project by cody Townsend
one of the best snow content creators omg how does this only have 8k views these should have 1m+. Love the work bro!

There’s gonna be a mini ice age in 2030-2040 so it’s gonna be some great skiing

To your second point: Wouldn’t the petroleum producing countries be the ones most in need of a little activism?
