Those who feels they're above the rest when they migrated but looks super Filipino from head to toe and pretends to forget the language once arrived there. It doesn't mean Filipinos outside the Philippines.
There are plenty of unpleasant Filipinos too. Maybe their unpleasantness is less compared to other nationalities.
This is what I’m looking from your vlogs. Fast paced. The scenes changes fast. Less talking inside the cab and more talking while at the actual place scenes. I get to see a lot of things happening in one video. Please stick to this style.
I was a hard party guy when in my 20's and thirties in the 90's . I managed to see some great cities in Europe, the Middle East, China , Singapore and Africa. I have never got the chance to experience yhe southeast Asia countries that relly hurts me. Now if god permits me to visit one day it will not be the same as in the nineties when I was in my peak party prime years.

MAKATI Is the huge CBD in the PHILIPPINES and the 2nd biggest in SOUTH EAST ASIA and home with tall skyscrapers. MAKATI is wild and has a lot to offers its just like BANGKOK combined with KUALA LUMPUR.
Eh ... Makati has no gay night life though. All just for the straight folks. 😭

There are a lot of bars, nightclubs, authentic Korean & Japanese restaurants in Poblacion. Back then it was poppin. The streets were filled with foreigners and people. Some of the huge establishments already closed down after the pandemic. Now, it's slowly getting back up again. 👍
Poblacion is formerly a residential area, converted into commercial red light district and now chill bar areas for the new generation and old school as well, choose your place to unwind, but it is still not late for you mate to go up Kalinga to meet Apo Wang Od which most vloggers had done...time to go north again.
Dr Wine is the best rooftop bar in Poblacion.
I've been back and forth of where I want to live in the Philippines. This video may have just confirmed it for me. These little bars look so fun and relaxed. Combined with the modern lifestyle of BGC.
Just sucks there aren't many beaches or anything unless you travel a couple hours away. (At least according to my research)

Yep, compared to the rest of the Philippines, parts of Manila can feel like you're not in the same country, especially if you're more used to the rural parts of the Philippines. But, same goes to other countries tbh, but def a bigger contrast in developing countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.

Makati is more diverse and edgier so there is more excitement and adventure. Before BGC, Manila nightlife has always been like that with places like Jupiter St (Makati), Pasay Road, Greenhills and Malate. Malate is similar to Poblacion in the 90s till the decade of the 2000s and eventually, the rise of BGC. Through the decades, Makati has always been part of Manila nightlife, reinvented itself and stayed relevant.
Is Malate still alive? I thought it lost its vigor / zest ever since it got rid of the gay bars there.

Malate had a gay side of the nightlife but that was only half of Malate nightlife. There were many other options especially along Adriatico and Remedios till Roxas Blvd. Many people went to Malate during those days. There were several gay friendly establishments but overall, Malate had more mainstream bars and concept restaurants similar to what we see now in Poblacion.

Poblacion has changed a lot since my days in Makati in the 90s. During my time it was more of girlie bars which catered to old foreign farts, but now the place has such a nice cool vibe for the younger crowd.

Definitely more fun in Philippines. All establishments should allow vloggers to come in and record. It's free promotion. However, those places that don't allow recording are either shady or are empty. Yes, definitely enjoyed today's vlog, Chairman Merghim. Btw, are you still with your Thai girlfriend? It's apo Wang-Od the great famous tattoo lady,she's 107 yrs old now and she's from Kalinga one of the provinces of Cordillera regions. I guess its 8hrs drive from Baguio city. Btw awesome nightlife and it's nice to interact with the locals..have fun dude!
The nightlife used to be alive in BGC but there were so many high profile chaos that happened there before with celebrities.
Oh those bars: God forbid when there's FIRE in any of those bars you featured , there's no way people would be able to escape. There will be a high rate of casualty. I wonder if Mskati authorities have bothered to check those places for Fire Exit? Here in Murcia Spain, a big fire recently (last week) killed nearly 20 young people. Perhaps this video could be shared to Makati local authorities before anything bad happens. All those bars are a huge fire risk.
Makati should do a major infrastructure renovation and beautification of Poblacion. this is the kind of entertainment district that tourist are looking for.
Makati has character. BGC is boring honestly. I work in BGC but I party in Makati.

That place there on Don Pedro St used to sell $3 tacos. Ridiculous prices for food around that area.
But party area is great there in Poblaccion.

BGC has more rules and regulations.
But the side skirts make up for that.
MAKATI has smaller area for rules and regulations (Rockwell, Ayala Ave Salcedo and Legaspi villages) but got vibrancy on the side skirts like Poblacion and Makati Avenue

There are more streets there in Poblacion. Its the area around Rockwell also known as Backwell as in at the back of Rockwell...
If you're winding down and looking for a good place to eat in Poblacion (particularly around the bar area), El Chupacabra is great for some tacos and beers.
Actually most are familiar with poblacion district but if you ask the exact street,nope. Just pin the exact establishment in poblacion you are going to.

I am living here at San Pedro Poblacion but never go inside to any of the bar haha, but I did food hopping in diff resto such as Onlypans, Japonesa, LaPita, Jampong, Marygrace, alamat, Minsok to name a few restos. Fred chicken of Z hostel taste so good. You should go at the top of Z hostel they have a good bar with a nice view of Rockwell

The street in Poblacion is Borgeos Street. I stayed in a hotel there just last week. BTW, I thought that little kid was cute. He was jumpy for joy when he knew who you were. Your simply a superstar here in the Philippines.

Can’t believe Mergin has not hung out around Makati before. Here and another area called Ermita were the first places I visited when I was in the Philippines about 20 years ago!
Ermita is more the sleazy clubs compared to Makati where the students come together from all over the Metro Manila universities.
Poblacion is where you go to meet quality chicks, the college and professional types, near the business district

I also like Makati much better than BGC because it is far more accessible by public transport. It is also so much easier to find cheap food and thrills here. And Makati's cockroach problem is not as bad. Hehehe...
