@@markperry762 doubtful means the incident commander is “doubtful” they will be able to control the fire with the resources on scene… it doesn’t necessarily mean another alarm is coming, it more or less means the fire is still going on
@@TheNYCBuff In different words it is telling everybody in the borough and most of the city that since this is 4th alarm you want to go visit the porcelain convenience now because there is a chance in the not distant future you may not get a chance for several hours. Great video btw.
That's something I don't understand too. Many times in videos I've watched over the years, many guys never lift a finger. The guys in the tower ladders and on the handlines are the only ones working once the water is flowing. Then they switch off the handline guys occasionally, but the TL guys stay up for hours at a time. So many times on these large fires, there is no interior attack. I get the need for relief for those guys and gals, but still, lots of onlooker firefighters.
@@reb1769 Relief and rehab. A crew will be working on a hose or ladder for a period of time before they are switched out by other firefighters so they can rehab. Some firefighters are also specifically designated as RIT, they only jump in if a firefighter has to be rescued. Some of the firefighters are on ambulances and are only on medical standby, not sure why they have gear on but that's department policy or personal choice. Others are waiting for overhaul to begin, on an interior attack they would have jumped in immediately, but on something like this where there is a delayed or not an interior attack, they will be waiting to jump in. It may look like people are just standing around doing nothing, and these videos that only show part of the picture can portray that, despite how talented the photographer is. But it is rare on a well ran scene for firefighters to have no purpose to what they are doing.
Dispatcher is a class act! Cool, calm, organized, concise. getting the job done! Awesome video!

Question? When they transmit "doubtful". What does that mean. Thank you. God bless our First Responders 🙌🏼

YES! Stop at the porcelain now! You will appreciate it later. 😅
@@TheNYCBuff Thank you very much. Appreciate your help
Great job putting in those Cids.
Do they record the drone video. That would be a cool freedom of information act request / new part of this video if they did.
Reminds me of the great tire fire on the Simpson's. You digaroonski?
Great video; are there no video's about the challenge for the fire engines to get to the incident?
there are plenty of response videos, just on certain channels.
Why so many desk jockies responding ? Things go so much smoother without them.
What’s a 10-70 ???
$10---same as in town.
Nice to hear distinct sounding voice. Sure someone would gripe if it were a requirement. Just saying...
Damm a lot of work
what happened to tl127
Was the lower stream from the bucket hydro fluid?
@@johnfitzgerald764the fog pattern under the bucket is to protect it from fire /heat exposure
Bad fire hydrant made this fire more worst

A good video - thank you.
Your titles are really annoying, as they take too long to be legible, and are distracting.
Bloody hell! What are all those fire fighters doing just standing around? 😮
