I love these prediction videos! I feel like BOTM books always make it, so I think a few of these will be on the list: Weyward, Immortal Longings, Ink Blood Sister Scribe, Clytemnestra, and/or Fragile Threads of Power. Other than those, I think we might see Sword Catcher and maybe Witch King. I’d love to see The Will of the Many, but I don’t know if it’ll make it.
Me too!! Some of my favorite content to watch. I know as soon as I posted this video I feel like I missed so many! I completely forgot about Weyward! Immortal Longings I know has been very divisive, so i wasn't sure about it. I agree Clytemnestra could be on the list, but since I listed Atalanta I felt I shouldn't predict 2 mythology retellings. We will see! 🙃 I would love to see The Will of the Many in there as well.
I just filmed my predictions video, and then I found your video! I couldn't decide if The Last Tale of the Flower Bride is going to make it. The book that I wish would win is Amina al-Sirafi, but I don't expect that to happen
I really like your method for determining the nominees and I'm sure you'll get a lot right. I much preferred it when readers could vote for books to be put on the list, rather than only selecting books that goodreads picked. I liked Godkiller and really liked The Book That Wouldn't Burn. I wonder if people think Mark Lawrence is only a grimdark author and are reluctant to read his books. I also really liked Legends and Lattes although I worry the prequel might lack the situation and characters that made the first book so enjoyable. I would love to see The Will of the Many on the list, but it isn't one of those popular TikTok books. I think you've called the winner with The Fourth Wing. It's not my thing at all but it seems to be very popular so fair enough if it wins. (Nothing to do with your predictions, but it's great to see The Rook on your shelves.)
Thank you! I tried my best. Time will tell. I would prefer to be able to vote for which books make the list as well. I feel like a lot of great reads get skipped over. I have heard a couple of people who typically read fantasy picked up The Book That Wouldn't Burn and loved it, but I've also heard several people call it slow and meandering. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read the second (which comes out in April, I think)! I didn't think that it's lack of popularity could be due to Mark Lawrence being type casted. That could be. I agree that Bookshops and Bonedust may not have the same spark as Legends and Lattes, although I've heard a lot of praise for those who have received arc copies. I'm currently in the middle of The Will of the Many and it is SO GOOD!!! But I agree that it hasn't been hyped as much as some of the other books. The Rook was phenomenal! It was a book that I picked up by chance on Libby and fell in love with the chaos. I'm currently waiting for my hold to come in on book 2!
@@Danni.Dabbles I hope you love Stiletto when you get to read it. I liked it although it doesn't quite have the mystery and intrigue of The Rook. Myfanwy is seen but isn't a POV character anymore as the focus is on something different. I'm 50% through Blitz (book 3) and the style of storytelling and characters have changed yet again. It's decent although hasn't captured the reading experience of The Rook. I'm interested to know what you make of them.
Ooh I love the choice awards content!! One book that I think may be on the list that you didn't mention was The Will of the Many by James Islington because it was pretty hyped this year. Can't wait to read Foxglove King and Bookshops and Bonedust! 😁
Me too!!! I was just thinking this morning that The Will of the Many might end up on the list. I am in the middle of reading it now and I'm really loving it!
Not a bad prediction list, I do think in the lives of puppets will be sci fi, and JLAs book may be her new series A Fall of Wrath and Ruin. A few books I think you missed are Weyward (which I haven’t read but has heaps of ratings) and Ink Blood Sister Scribe. Also I wouldn’t be shocked to see Witch King, Threads of Power or Sword Catcher in there, possibly more fantasy romance too. I would love to see the Will of the Many, Dark Water Daughter, the Tyranny of Faith and Labyrinth’s Heart as they are up there with my favourite new releases but I doubt any will make it, epic fantasy never really has a chance
Ooo! Weyward will definitely be nominated. I completely forgot about that one. I thought about Ink Blood Sister Scribe, but I had it written down as a 3.5 average rating on Goodreads (which now I'm not sure where I got that number as it is a 4.09 so... oops). I knew I would have a blind spot with fantasy romance as I do not read a ton of that so thats just not where my mind went. Will of the Many I forgot about and I would love to see it on the list! If the Labyrinth's Heart makes the list I will be jumping for joy! It currently only has 846 ratings on Goodreads and I just don't hear many people talking about the series, which is a shame. I wish more epics would make the list as they are my jam!!
I agree that Fourth Wing will be the winner. I need to read it before the sequel comes out. I also need to read several of your predicted books - good list!
I saw bookshops & bonedust at barnes & nobles today even thought the release date is november 7th! I really hope Emily Wilde gets in the top 10 I liked it a lot.
Great predictions! I am excited to see what makes the list, but yeah we all know fourth wing is gonna win 🙈 Also - how funny we have the exact same amount of subs currently!
I have read 0 fantasy books this year LOL I didn't know Alix E. Harrow published a book this year!! I'm adding it to my TBR haha For the throne ! I do think forth wing will win tho. I haven't read it but everyone talks about it LOL
Well maybe one will end up on the list that you find intriguing! I haven't read anything by Alix E. Harrow and I really need to. I know, but if it didn't win that would be great!🤣
OMGGG I LOVEEEE THE GOD OF ENDINGS!!! 🙏❤ I would love to see it nominated!!! I love this video, it's so fun to see what will get chosen!!! I DEFINITELY AGREE I think 4th wing will win for fantasy 😅
It's on my TBR, but I haven't picked it up yet. It may be one of the nominees I pick up in November. Ya, sadly I don't think any other books have a chance. I would love to hear your predictions for the horror genre!!!🫶
The Book That Wouldn't Burn 🤞 and I have The Magicians Daughter, but reading in November. Bookshops and Bonedust better be in the list. Amina Al-Sirafi, yes! Encyclopedia of Faeries, I have not read, but people love this book. Tress will be up there, for sure. I didn't love "In the lives of Puppets" but love Wolfsong and Ravensong. I agree with Fourth Wing pick. I hope ot doesn't win 😁
Ooo! I hope you love The Magician's Daughter.☺️ I really need to read Bookshops and Bonedust! Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't want Fourth Wing to win.🤣
It will be interesting to see which books make the cut. I agree though that nothing is likely to best Fourth Wing.
We will see!☺️

loved this!!
Thank you!! I loved your mystery/thriller predictions!☺️
