Lmao that's probably my new favorite "messism". Used to be "Its a fallacy, I like meatloaf" and "you're like an epileptic version of a ballet dancer." Jon Mess can do no wrong
DGD is the definition of controlled chaos. The intricately precise guitar riffs mixed with Jon's unbridled aggression is what makes them top notch. Oh yeah also tilian slays.
I feel like DGD fans are fun as hell, the comment sections on all of their vids are pretty chill, and people are generally excited to be listening. very cool
I never really thought about this but you're so right. It also helps that almost every song they release is a banger so fans never have much to complain about haha. Just a bunch of like minded people enjoying some good music

definitely not a new style, so glad he's going back to ToM style vocals. this is what I always wanted, not that his work thus far has been anything but amazing.
I've never been a fan of tillian. I became a fan of dgd right before they released acceptance speech and I liked that album but after that I've not been super impressed... maybe just cause I'm so used to hearing Johnny Craig's dgd, that's what I want to hear. He's a great guy, and he's not a bad fit, he's just not my favorite. somewhere next to Kurt imo. Both are good but neither really go over the top for me
+Jeremy Gano there's flaws to all of them, but they're all still great. tillian's vocals are typically plain, like there's no raw sound that Kurt and jonny brought (probably caused by production), Kurt wasn't very good live, and jonny had personal issues. none of them are perfect but they all made great music. happiness was actually my favorite album when I first got hooked on dgd. Then I became a jonny fan boy
Honestly I could totally see that being in Jon's lyrics for one of their songs "I'm sold Take my money Take my house Take my wife and kids I don't need anything as long this scheme's a pyramid" or something like that
I love everything about DGD, it's the perfect band, regardless of what vocalist they have. The randomness in lyrics, and the way the songs consistently change tempo from one chaotic riff to another. I think it's their uniqueness that allows them to continue to be alive.
Matty ryder HLH are great but DGD are on a different level. I'm never not in the mood for DGD. Any band that still sounds like they 'should' and are still completely fresh after (what is this going to be their 8th full length) is fucking legendary.
"Get those electric blue foot things from Dr. Scholl's" used to be my favorite DGD lyric but "Riding a rhino, pico de gallo." is now a close runner up.

+Corey Chenard true I just wish they would like re-record WISIRO songs with Jonny a 10 year anniversary album for WISIRO would've been insane also adding a re-recorded version of Attack of The Dashing Young & Bold
Who do you think won this round?
Chucky or The Giant Tortoise?
dgd won the war, destroyed them with both with this song
+M3M8R4N3 Definitely the rhino. I mean, Pico de Gallo is amazing.
See, now that you asked that question, I want this song to have multiple parts to it, too, like The Robot with Human Hair and Strawberry Swisher were. But instead of "pt II" or "pt III", I want it to be "Round 2" and "Round 3".
***** Tell that to DGD. see if you can start a petition that will do absolutely nothing.
Eagles vs Crows Round 2 tho...
i like how dgd is rather consistent with their sound because the sound in itself is special IMO
I was honestly a little upset there aren't any sequel songs on this album, but this is amazing and I know it's gonna be another masterpiece.
I can't believe dgd is gonna save my life, AGAIN.
siempre es bueno escuchar las mejores canciones de la mejor banda del mundo
Jon's vocals have aged like a fine, fine wine.
Every line cooks favorite band...
2:54-3:05
