I feel like Doctor Psycho would have been good to mention
The Mysterious Retro Gamer right!!!!!!!
Yes, my thoughts exactly.
Dr Psycho, Dr Poison, Dr Cyber, does Wonder Woman just hate anyone with a medical degree?
Dr. Madd well she looks so young doctors hate her. I wonder what her secret is.
Sergio Andrade or Dr. Veronica Cale
giganta and atom.... guess opposites attract
This joke has too many layers
@theX one so they're both those are both like they're like they're like the Titan
i cant forget that scene from the teen titans go movie where they hit the atom with a golf cart it makes me laugh every time someone mentions the atom
Gigantic is a flash villain
Wessidious Smoke no.... Giganta is definitely a Wonder Woman villain, not a flash villain...
I don't think I've seen WW fight Giganta ever since new 52
And Circe should be used a lot more
She kind stop fighting her after 00s. Giganta however made some few apperances in N52.
i think she's int he justice league (unlimited) animated series.
radu nicolae In comics, she begins appear less on Wonder Woman Comics. And when appears she appears with all others villains or she taken down by other heroes like Donna Troy, Black Canary and Metal Men.
MK ULTRA SOLDIER II Circe in currently in an Unholy alliance with Ra's Al Ghul and Lex Luthor in Trinity.
OreoBrawl is this in Rebirth?
Circe is so underrated as a mastermind. Her ability to scheme and come up with such well thought out plans can rival Vandal Savage & Lex Luther. The writers have written her to be a petty mean girl to Diana but she could be so much more especially with her powers she could be a threat to the whole Justice League if written well.
I just realized, each superhero seems to have 2 arch enemies. 1 has a personal connection with the hero, and the other is just iconic.
Batman's are Joker and Raj al Ghul
Superman is Lex Luther and Zod
Wonder Woman is cheetah and Ares
Flash is Captain cold and Reverse flash
John Brett
yep and Green Lantern has Sinestro and Nekron.
Joker and Raj are both very personally connected to Batman
Aqua Man has Black Manta and Ocean Master
John Brett, I think Wonder Woman's second archenemy is actually Circe.
Here's why: Wonder Woman represents everything good about feminism since she's good, loyal, nice and treats everyone equally.
Circe on the other hand is everything bad about feminism. She hates men with a vengeance (since one of them once tricked her) and her goal is to destroy the amazons because she believes that they can't protect women, despite the fact that she had a daughter with Ares.
Ares is of course Diana's most powerful enemy but he doesn't appear enough. He's usually like the big bad boss of the final level that the hero can't beat alone without help. in other words, he is to powerful
I think Flash is Grodd and Reverse
so DC Turned EggFu in to Modok. sounds legit.
The perfect cheetah your looking for is the new origin story of Barbra Minerva in Wonder Woman Rebirth
Honestly, Rebirth should be appreciated so much more. It's a shame that comics are a bit of a niche because DC Rebirth is the pinnacle of quality of the medium.
Harlan Nguyen She's the forget best friend of Diana who helped her adjust to man's world. While on an archeological dig she was tricked by Veroinca Cale, Deimos, and Phobos into thinking Wonder Woman ignored her distress signal and left her to die when things went horrible wrong. As a result, she became The Cheetah, the bride of Urzkartzaga forced to East human first to survive and trapped in eternal agony. She ended up temporarily getting turned back to Human after helping Diana beat Urzkartzaga and seal him away, but returned to her old form after making a deal with Veronica Cale in order to save Etta Candy and Steve Trevor.
@@callianr6980 but i remember her story was different, i remember that she was sn archeologist and wonder woman's best friend, once she went to an unknown island near to themyscira named Urzkartzaga where she found a tribe praying to theyr 2 gods of hunt staues and when they seen her and her team the god (as a spirit still) told them to catch them bc they are the chosen ones to be theyr hosts to the real world, and then her team was chased by the tribe, they killed them one by one and just barbara and her brother remained, she fell to a kind of catacombe where they had ni escape and she readed on walls that of she drinks MAN blood and kills one the spirit of the godess of hunt cheetah would help her, she did killed her brother and rank his blood and she transformed but she found that it was a trao and the spirit won't release her now, then she killed EVERYBODY from the guys that chased them and ate them all, from this moment it wasn't barbara anymore, it was just a savage monsters that its always hungry and hate man......she beacame......the cheetah. Amd that's the story
@@albertmarcea3004 That was her origin in the New 52 but was retconded when Rebirth happened. Her new Origin is what Callian said.
@@cwc5085 but what did he say tho?
"someone this extra most be related to me"
I think all of wonderwoman's villains are all underrated , I mean she herself is probably the most underrated superhero in dc or in history
Charson Chen i 100% agree with you
She blocks them because piercing weapons are her weakness. She can take blunt force no problem, and while she can certainly take the pain of being shot moreso than a regular person, they still deal damage to her.
Well known but underrated. Only when you read comics with her, you find out how badass she is. Just like martain manhunter.
Dio Brando in the house You're living under a rock, Wonder women is not underrated she's one of the most popular dc character.
This comment made me lose some brain cells
Dr Psycho, Dr Poison, The Blue Snowman, The Angler, any member of Villany Inc and of course the mighty miniatyr menece.....Mouse Man!!!!
In this cynical age, Mouse Man would have one appearance and then get eaten by Cheetah :)
Doctor Psycho and Dr. Cyber are two other really fun Wonder Woman villains who, like most of her Rogues gallery, deserve a larger spotlight.
Love this video! Can you make another one with either Ares, Phobos, Deimos, Devastation, Genocide, First Born, Queen Clea, Doctor Psycho, Dark Angel, and the Queen of Fables? There are so many other underrated and unique Wonder Woman villains.
Isnt Queen of Fables more of a Justice League villain than individual hero's villain?
I'd love it if Egg Fu just showed up while Joker and Batman were fighting and the Joker just buckled over laughing to the point where he couldn't fight anymore.
Thanks you for NO egg puns, that was EGGxelent from you.
Truly an EGGspectacular video.
EGG.
masayoshi kunz okay I get the yoke
+Ike Rants You can stop now I really hate these jokes and I don't understand how people call these jokes EGGcellent.
6:40 I've seen enough to know where that is going. but in all seriousness what is going on with Harley?
These egg puns are so ova the top
I guess the yolks on us
Silver swan is one of my favorite villains, dr. Cyber should be in this list and writers need to use her more, she can be WW's lex luthor
Genocyde (I think that's how her name was spelled), a short lived villain, responsible for stealing Wonder Woman's lasso (and incorporating it into her own body) and for the creation of Diana's Hawkman inspired space armor (aka the chicken suit).
Bernard Gilbert yes! She should've been on this list!
A perfect Cheetah could be the current Rebirth version since Barbara Ann is now a former friend of Diana. She could have a split personality between the savage Cheetah with no conscious and Barbara Ann Diana's former friend and struggle with it.
Eggfu actually has a really fun and sympathetic characterization in the new 52 Harley Quinn comics and I would love to see that character be in a Wonder Woman movie/series. Especially since it gives Wonder Woman an excuse to fight Darkseid as Eggfu is from Apocalypse. Also Eggfu could easily be the Ice King/Doofinshmirz of the Wonder Woman rouges gallery
From the WW villains, for me none will ever top Circe. She's just awesome.
Totally. Circe is spite personified, she will always hate Diana
Matheus Moreira Ares, Circe, and Cheetah are my favorites! After those three, I also enjoyed First Born, Genocide, and the new villain Grail.
Blue Snow could use a modern update. Her struggle with gender identity could be great story telling in the right hands, and make her more than just another ice villain or joke character. Writers also need to realize Angle Man isn't a physical/fighty villain, but he's a crafty master villain. Maybe one with ties to the Washington DC underworld so he's constantly at the center of major crime and at odds with Wondy, but always plays an angle and makes it look like he's an upstanding citizen.
maybe the first cheetah is like the dude from split. what I mean by that is because it was mentioned that she somehow had speed. I think it was similar to how the guy in split was able to shift his body to gain strength. Just a theory
Veronica Cale is my favorite Wonder Woman villain. Almost like a Lex Luthor to Wonder Woman, she’s a string-pulling business woman and media spin doctor. She is the antithesis to the spirit of truth
So Ryan Choy actually dated Giganta? Honestly, pretty brilliant combination.
*Choi
that's two villains Choi dated.
I am surprised there never a cross between Batman. and wonder woman where Batman's villain egg head teamed up with with egg fu.
Egg Head (played by Vincent Price) was only on the 60's TV series, never in the comics.
Egghead seems to have been referenced/ had cameos in Shadow of the Bat storyline and All-Star Batman #2 it seems. I haven't read them I just looked it up on a Batman wikipedia.
I believe there’s an issue of the Batman brave and the bold tie in comic where that happens
Baron Zemo Returns yes there is
"someone this extra has to be related to me" 😂😂
Most underrated... this is literally all the top ones casual, non WW specific devoted fans can name. I know, cos I knew all these, and they're pretty much the only ones I can name.
Veronica Cale is must especially now that she was a big role in Wonder Woman´s comics. Heracles/Hercules is sometimes a villain for Wonder Woman. Medusa is somewhat important and she is one of best known stories of Wonder Woman. Doctor Psycho but in way he is Purple Man but he only sees women as mere objects.
filipe19991 Also I remember hearing about a moment where he brainwashed a crowd to canabalize each other, got "excited" by it, and transferred these feeling to the people eating each other so that if they were ever sexually stimulated again, they'd be reminded of the time they ate a person. Haven't been able to find the scene, like I said, but it definitely seems up the guy's alley.
I always wanted to see WW take on Superia. They're pretty close in power level (Superia slugged it out with Mrs. Marvel) and almost directly opposite in their approach to Feminism.
oh, that is where Cheetah came from, I just saw her in Injustice 2 :V
Honestly, I would love to see eggfu to be the villain in the Wonder Woman sequel
together, you guys are Nathan Drake
Yeah. Kinda funny.
Her villains are underrated because almost nobody knows them. :P I'm sorry, but I only knew, like, 4 of her villains before I saw this video. But hey, I knew twice as many Wonder Woman villains as Superman Villains. :P
I know more Superman villains than Batman villains.
Cheetah and Giganta...that was all I knew
And some villains are lame as fuck like cheetah and Egg Fu
Great list! Wonder Woman is my favorite solo hero (has been since the George Perez reboot, which is still one of my favorite runs in comics). I feel like the majority of people who say Wonder Woman has lame villains probably only know the campier, kid-friendly versions of Cheetah and Giganta from Super Friends. Their comic book counterparts are extremely powerful, dangerous and multilayered.
Props for mentioning Silver Swan...I love her, and seeing the new renditions of her is always interesting. I personally liked Vanessa as the Silver Swan because of how heartbreaking it was seeing her transformed into a villain. She was part of WW's main supporting cast, and like a little sister to Diana.
She ended up being relegated to obscurity, and was kind of a painful reminder to Diana of the many sacrifices she's had to make in her personal life for the greater good.
I'm just wondering which of these Super Villains will appear in the next Wonder Woman movie? I hope it's either Giganta or the Cheetah!
You overlooked Doctor Psyco, the Angle Man, Doctor Cyber, The Mask, Dr. Poison (and the rest of Villany, Inc.), plus those cheesy silver-age villains like the Glop, Mouse Man, the Brain Pirate, and Inversion (the Inside-Out Man!) to name just a few.
You could very easily make this a three-part series.
No way you did my girl Vanessa like that, one of the best Pérez characters.
@Will N Circe was in the Legion of Doom that one time too, and I wasn’t talking about Vanessa as a villain, I was talking about her as a supporting character.
Dude! That Silver Swan issue with What's Her Butterface was the ONLY Wonder Woman comic I ever owned. I must have read that story at least 100 times. So awesome that you mentioned it.
I wouldn't mind seeing a follow up to this video whether it's looking into another underrated rogues gallery or just an updated version of this.
Cheetah was always one of those characters I always heard of, but knew nothing about. This was a really interesting video, thanks!
I once asked myself, "Who is Wonder Woman's archenemy?" and when I went searching for the answer, I at least found a Top 3 in Cheetah, Circe, and Ares(Not necessarily in that order). Still, I wanna give shoutouts to Dr. Psycho, Decay, Devastation, and Shim'tar
'Someone this extra has to be related to me.' Is one of the best lines I've heard in a while.
The Bronze Age Angle Man with the insanely-powerful Apokoliptian-made Angler is my second favorite WW villain after the Pricilla Rich Cheetah. Sad to see he didn't get a mention.
Giganta was a big presence in the Superfriends Legion of Doom series. In fact, she’s one of only two female villains in the Legion.
Two antagonists (as opposed to outright villains) you missed are a couple of mine: ARES and ZEUS! Ares because he is the embodiment and opposite of what Diana stands for: Love and Truth whereas Ares uses deception and the hunger for power to generate wars! As for Zeus, he's the head of the Pantheon of gods Diana worships and he has never gotten over her rejection of his "Godly Essence"--so he's always sending her on impossible quests!
BTW Xenophobia toward China hasn't gone anywhere. Why the rush to try to steal IRAN's oil? Because they are friendly with China and Japan!
The Newer "Angle Man" is a bit underrated. Have to admit that I'm a bit surprised the really odd ones like "Mouseman", "The Blue Snowman" and "Mayfly" aren't on here.
I love Barbra Ann Minerva I hope they do her in the next Wonder Woman or some other future DC movie
What marvel did to the mandarin in iron man 3 is unforgivable dood.
Maybe Catwoman could team with Cheetah, Catman, and Bronze Tiger. They could call themselves The Clowder or The Glaring depending on which suits them better.
underrated villains, Giganta one of her most iconic foes
Cheetah idontTHINKSO!
I can confirm all Chinese people have magic Chinese powers
I love all the villians on the list. Greg Rucka, Gail Simone and Greoge Perez runs got me into Wonder Woman and comics in general. Oh and Rena De Liz story did too. What about the Blue Snowman? She's a woman who made a Mr. Freeze like costume and had a pipe that shot I've as a weapon.
Update the costume and Silver Swan could be Wonder Woman's Bizarro, a Cracked Mirror to her character. Where Wonder Woman is kind, Swan is selfish, where WW is merciful, she is brutal. This could go a long way if people actually cared enough to try stuff like this
WOW! Drake you’ve come a LOOOOOOONG way since you made this video! Great job! Cheetah and Giganta were always my fave Wonder Woman villains along with Silver Swan! I hear Circe will be in the long awaited WW3 but I’m hoping for a Silver Swan or Giganta cameo or Easter Egg in there somewhere.
I’d say Wonder Woman’s worst enemy is Ares. My favourite is Cheta though. Circe also seems cool though.
Osian Coleman
Ares is bland af
MJ Red nah I like him he’s pretty good I get why u think that though.
wow silver swan( Nathan's fave version) is awesome! Also Cerce needs to date Loki!
I'm kind of fond of the Justice League version of Cheetah, as something of a sympathetic tragic villain who was on the wrong end of a genetic splicing experiment, and just wants to be human again, which requires a great deal of money she doesn't have.
Which kind of feels like an analogy for the US healthcare system being generally garbage now that I think about it.
People being put into desperate situations due to the system really not being in their best interest.
Cheetah and Giganta are my two favorite Wonder Woman villains. It's probably due to Super Friends being a part of my childhood.
Jesus Christ, Egg Fu is more egg than Dr Eggman
Thanks for the Circe story. Didn't really know about her.
Doctor Cyber is my second favorite after Cheetah, and as far as the silver and bronze age is concerned I consider her to be Wonder Woman's arch enemey as she was the head of a Spectre like terrorist organization and was the one to kill Steve Trevor. Im grad Greg Rucka is using a version of her in Rebirth but I will always prefer the Pre-Crisis version myself.
Oh yeah, I remember Cheetah alright. She's the super villain who got me into a furry phase for a little while.
TBH I don't think the Yellow Peril ended I think it's still going on today
Great video, but the thing is very few of these characters are all that underrated for Wonder Woman villains. In fact most of them are the main most important and known Wonder Woman villains. The only thing making them underrated is the fact that Wonder Woman's rogues gallery is underrated in general.
What would be some of the best most gripping Wonder Woman stories in comics for newcomers? I've wanted to give the series a go for a long time, but don't know where to start.
I always thought that Giganta originated as an arch-enemy of Apache Chief, who has the ability to make himself grow to incredible sizes as well.
Loved It! I'd like to see you do the rest of the Golden Age Wonder Woman female foes.
Dr. Cyber should have gotten a mention, at least. Also Dr. Poison, Dr. Psycho, Angle Man and Villainy, Inc.
There definitely needs to be a Part Two to this.
Dude!!! Peter Dinklage as Doctor Psycho in WW3?? How Awesome would that be?!
@@jonjohns8145 Peter Dinklage was born to be Dr.Psycho. Love it!
He would be the Perfect Opposite for her. The Tall Compassionate Female Hero vs the Short Psychopathic Male Villain .. It would be PERFECT!!
“Someone this extra has to be related to me.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What about Deva, the evil, powerful child made from the same clay Diana was?
She almost killed her in one story!
Okay so here's something I don't understand. Whenever they show us Hippolyta sculpting Diana from clay, she's always shown making a SINGLE baby. But with Donna Troy and now this Deva lady I'm starting to wonder if Hippolyta was drunk when she made Diana and just blacked out when she made the others and that's why she never remembers making them.
@@GD67514 I see. Thank you. I've heard Donna's had a lot of different backgrounds. My copy of Wonder Woman The Ultimate Guide to the Amazon Warrior says Donna was an infant Diana rescued from a fire and taken in by the amazons. It also mentions she got the stars for her bottoms from a giant clam even though that was EXPLICITLY Diana when she was a teenager.
You should add Dr. Psycho and Angle Man (though technically Donna Troy's nemisis).
My Top 5 Favorite Wonder Woman Villains Are:
1.) Cheetah
2.) Ares
3.) Giganta
4.) Sliver Swan
5.) Circe
Why was I attracted to the cheeta as a kid?
5-7 year old me was a hekin’ furry!!!! Time to delete my past self
Cicire is like loki of wonder woman!
Would you ever consider doing a video on Axe Cop?
Nathan LaSart that show is hilarious
Show? when did go from webcomic to show?
Hashi Sayed years ago
Circe's hands down my favorite Wonder Woman baddie and you summed up why I love her as a villain so well!
I loved Circe during the Phil Jimenez run in the early 2000s.
@@seanpowell1661 That was easily her at her most evil. How she tried breaking Diana during that time was nothing short of sadistic.
Also, her wardrobe during that run was quite the thing. x3
@@OwlEye2010 so true regarding the sadistic part! Lol. Jimenez made her more bitchy than Alexis Colby.👀👀👀
Giganta has the fucking worst origin ever. She is like the most fun background villain ever though.
Wish you'd mention Dr. Psycho, Angle Man, and/or Genocide. Because, man, Genocide was terrifying!
3:44 I wonder if theres a video about the through lines of the rouges gallery for different heroes, I remember a cracked video about spider man musing that a majority of spidey's villains are a rejection of science taken to extremes. batman's rouges are clearly about the insanity of humanity. What about superman, flash etc?
Cheetah is the most know of Wonder Woman genesis
“A Fine Balance Between The Tragedy Of Priscilla Rich And The Ferociousness Of Barbara Ann Minerva.”
So Rebirth Cheetah?
I think the writers mistook Circe for Eris, goddess of Discord....no the state of failed interaction, not the platform...
Vanessa however has both this wonderfully personal connection to Diana in that she's the daughter of the first friend Diana made after leaving the island. And as such Vanessa, in her warped mind, is actually jealous that she was never Wonder Girl, like Donna and Cassandra. Add to this that Vanessa has this 'body-horror' theme about her after having unwillingly been transformed into the Swan, not once, but twice.
Cheetah... I think Mineva taking over the role also has something to do with, both her being irredeemable while Pricilla wasn't. And simply the evolution of Diana's powers. Like Diana is a rival to Superman, Pricilla with the best will in the world an unhinged Catwoman.
Ares realises "Someone this extra has to be related to me" XD I love how you see Ares
I love Helen’s silverswan too!! I thought I was the only one!!!!
Eh, I think Vanessa Kapetelis is the most interesting and tragic Silver Swan.
Warner Bros. really needs to make an animated series for Wonder Woman before the sequel movie comes out.
I'm honestly shocked circe hasn't been in a movie yet
Pretty sure the Rebirth Cheetah was able to capture both the tragedy and ferocity of the two.
*Comic Nathan Drake*
NO ONE ELSE COULD POSSIBLY COME UP WITH THIS JOKE.
I liked the tragedy of Dark Angel and how she was a dark/shattered- from-torture image of Donna Troy, who is an image of Diana
I liked Nessie because of the tragedy with her. She wasn't just a friend, she was like Diana's SISTER. and you forgot Dr. Psycho and Ares' three lackies: the count, duke and earl
Looking at tyhe Wonder Woman villains's I think they are kind a mix of the best aspects of both Superman and Batman'sd rogues gallery. Most of them have super powers like Superman villains, but, much like the Batman rogues, they have a dark backstory and are tragic figures
People i'd love to see Wonder Woman fight from another universe.
1. Dr Doom
2. Kratos
3. Red skull
4. Hercules
5. She Hulk
I think Baroness Paula von Gunther would be a better archenemy to WW than Cheetah since the Baroness does a better job twisting the archetype of feminine power while Diana defines it. Both are royalty but while WW takes the role humbly with respect, the Baroness lords her position and gains power GoT style by forcing others to obey her. Give her some heavy duty powers like Hela in _Thor: Ragnarok_ and a decent writer then she would make a much better archenemy.
You forgot Blue Snowman but other than that this was great. I would have also loved to hear your thoughts on Dr. Poison, but yeah Blue Snowman for the win
Silver Swan having more beauty than Aphrodite? She should run.
giganta hands down
This video made me discover a new dc artist, Alex Ross! His stuff is sooo beautiful!!
At 2:42 - someone please tell the artist that no ballerina wears socks when she’s dancing!
I always thought professor zoom was the flash's arch enemy because of his envy of the flash that made him get his powers and travel back to the time of the flash
