Except Apraxia is not a result of an anatomical issue, it is a sensorimotor neurological issue of motor planning, but not a muscle weakness like dysarthria.

This is a educational video. I came here for help and I am reading some pretty disrespectful comments from those who clearly DON"T suffer Dysarthria or you wouldn't make jokes. Joke when it is you who cannot communicate. If anyone has this and we can support one another, please respond. It is also NOT a sign of Covid. This is real and not amusing.

@@BlueRay963 This is Lepq's husband She is not able to type today due to her paralysis. Your comment lifted her spirits, and she is grateful for your understanding and support. She wants to know what she can do to mutually support each other. Just knowing there is someone out there who understands is comforting. We ordered a voice amplifier for her. Good ones are pretty expensive, but sometimes her voice is just a whisper so this device should help her to communicate independently, without needing me to listen to her whispers and translate for whoever she is talking to. She had a neck injury about a month ago and has paralysis in different parts of her body. She says God bless her brother. You mean everything to her.

Could someone please help me. So, whenever I try whispering my voice sounds clear. When I talk without whispering in a normal voice I sound weird and my voice always sounds so weird its most definitely the opposite of smooth. Even when I try talking in a normal voice its hard to sound clear I always talk in a high pitch voice instead so I would not sound weird with a voice which sounds like its vibrating and unclear. I wish for someones help if you could help please try so. I am a boy and is 14 years old. I also tried researching a lot and I cant find much I drink a lot of water and I do not shout so this could help but I can not see a difference. My voice has been like this for a year.

Hi, I'm old enough to be your grandmother, I will try my best to help to assist. When I answer the telephone I hear complete silence. Everyone professional and otherwise assumes I'm drunk. I never touch alcohol. My internist handles everything for me. There are voice translators your physician can prescribe for you

have these two not been mixed up..? dysarthria is the one caused by anatomical difference like cleft palate or post stroke "droop" in the face, while apraxia is the neurological one caused by poor motor planning and coordination between the brain and the muscles
