    Hey, thanks for clarifying the meaning of those terms. I’m suspecting that I have a mix of expressive dysphasia and dysarthria; would you happen to know anything about such a combo?

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  2 роки тому

      Hi! Ultimately it is possible from certain neurological pathology… as always we suggest that if you are concerned then please consult a local doctor and have it investigated 🙏🏼

    As an adult with a feeding tube I have not been able to find any support for my situation. I struggle to eat orally because of dysphasia. Most sites or support services are specifically designed for children or the caregivers of infants. I feel like an outcast and it’s hard to find any good resources.
    I am a 33 year old male who was diagnosed with drug resistant right temporal lobe epilepsy. Then recently I was diagnosed with a rare seizure genetic disorder called VPS13A. I have struggled with uncontrollable weight loss. I have been using a g tube for over 6 months and have been struggling to gain or maintain my weight .
    i am currently on a very vigorous diet and I’m not sure if I can continue to do it without results. I have a follow up with my doctor to discuss my options and I don’t know how to explain that I am exhausted..

    Could either of these disorders cause paralysis or difficulty moving limbs? And can they be reversed completely or patially?

    I watched your video and found it very educational and even learned things about myself (I have dysarthria). I was wondering if you know how to use the personal voice feature on new apple products? I need some advice. I did all the necessary steps, however, the device didn’t understand my voice due to my dysarthria. Any suggestions? Please can you respond? Thank you so much!

    Isn’t having difficulty in producing language is similar to difficulty in controlling the muscles that help produce the language? I really get confused between those two. Thank you for all your efforts, a wonderful channel! really great work!

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Nuha! Thank you for your message… So when it comes to the motor problem (muscle control like you said), the actual language that the patient uses is often not an issue….. the language is good, but the control of the muscles to actually speak is the issue……… so in this case, think of it as producing speech or words is difficult rather than language specifically. I hope that makes sense

    Please sir, I am about to cry right now. I don't know what's happening to me. From past 3 days I can't stop to swallow. My muscles keep on moving in that way. 1st I was able to sleep second day, it was hard. Now, as soon as I sleep my I just do aggressive swallow movement and wake. Can't control it, don't know what to do. What's worse is that at 1st it used to happen under nose (in the throat) so there was pain there but now it happens behind is in the throat and it feels something stuck there (which was not happening earlier). And i dont know, it also feels like something constantly coming out of my nasal chamber. Leaving like this is becoming hard. I am 16, I have a lot of studies and I can't focus on them. Please help.
