I searched for ChefMaker videos because mine arrived yesterday. I immediately noticed your Tin Foil Mug! I got the Lizzid Peeple one from my husband for my birthday. We love The Why Files!
Wow! Amazing that even cooking to medium well it's still so juicy! It did an incredible job! Great to see the grill did so well too! Thanks for this excellent review John!
I’m totally buying this for my daughter when she goes off to college, along with some rubs from you, of course! ;). Great video as always John, and glad to see Fred made it in the video too! Smoke on! 💨🍖
We did a steak in the Dreo and to my surprise it turned out perfect so tender and juicy we use the suvi mode. We also cook chicken breast and we tried crab cakes and both were amazing. We actually got this machine on sale through Amazon for 212.00. I was very skeptical of this machine but my son said he watched a lot of reviews and thought it was really a good buy so we thought we would try it and so glad we did
You definitely couldn't fit a big brisket in there. I can tell you the preset is like 3.5 hrs or so like that. Unfortunately my wife decided to keep our Ninja air fryer instead of this far superior machine, so I gave it to my grandma. This thing is easily the best air fryer I've ever seen.
We ordered it and then cancelled just because it’s too small. We are going to wait to see if one is released in the future with a little more cook capacity.
LCD = liquid crystal display. They are what you see on a 99¢ calculator. They have 2 colors, black and whatever else. I know that's a bit much, but this is a review, so it's important to describe things as what they actually are. Or, maybe he uses "LCD" to describe any display.
I would think so. I've been using this thing pretty regularly, and I really like it. I think the key is using a thicker steak. I just had to use what I had available.
The steak has to be 1 inch thick. Thats why became medium. Thin steak has to be set 1 or 2 level down. Like rare for medium rare. Or you can choose the times.
steak was too thin... everytime I throw a steak on my Chefmaker, it comes out perfect medium rare. Great machine and one of the best investment I've made on a kitchen appliance.
@@SkullandMortar oh I meant no offence. I was just pointing out why the steak came out medium well. I don't do anything past medium, medium rare is my choice but the steak in your vid still looked juicy. 👍
Thanks for the positivity. That’s definitely the issue. Unfortunately we don’t have any real butcher options around here so I had to take what the grocery gave me.

Love The Why Files. That channel and HowtoBBQRight are my top two I think. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you! I definitely think if I could have gotten a thicker steak it would have been perfect, but I honestly really like this thing.
What a cool kitchen device! Thanks for this thorough review!
Thanks man! I honestly really dig it. If I’d have had access to a thicker steak at the time i think it would have been perfect.
Another great video! I am impressed with this! I am sold
I agree. I like it a lot.

You won’t regret it. I low key love this thing. Thanks for watching man!

I think it's easily the best "air fryer" (I know I'm not supposed to call it that), I've ever used. $212 is a killer price.
It may be a little over cooked because they do warn you the steak must be at least 1 inch plus
That could be it. I thought the steak was 1in, but that would still be on the thin side. I legit think this thing is awesome.
I'd imagine that those steaks were too thin for this device. It would probably do better with a thicker cut.
That’s my guess too. It said minimum 1”, I bet 1.5” would be perfect.
Finally a non sponsored review. The hero we dont deserve. Can you see how it does with something like brisket or tri tip?

What up Fred? Looks like a neat device. Doesn't look like you can get more than one or two steaks in at a time though. How big is the cooking area?
Definitely two steaks max, probably best suited for one. It’s a cool machine though.
Show the other side of the steak. Any crust?
Thanks for watching. It looked the same on both sides.
That ending tho! LoLoL
Gottem
We ordered it and then cancelled just because it’s too small. We are going to wait to see if one is released in the future with a little more cook capacity.
Definitely meant for one, maybe two steaks for sure.

Definitely misspoke. It’s an LED display.
Can It Grill Rare???

This is the same comment I’ve had 42 times. I used what I could get.
i want this so bad
It's a really good device.
They recommend using a steak that’s at least 1 1/2” thick, that’s probably why the first steak was over done
I saw that, and I’d imagine so, unfortunately that’s all I could get.

We’ve discussed this many times in the comments. I used what was available to me. It’s a great machine, I’d recommend it to anyone.

@@officialMainspring my apologies if I came off like a jerk. I’m not offended at all. I’ve been airplaning wince 430 this morning I’m zonked 😂
Poor Fred. you should have woken in him up first. 😅
You win some you lose some 😂. Thanks for watching!
Look like Fred hasn't miss many meal?
Did you just call my kid fat?
I enjoyed the video but your steak is too thin to achieve the temperature that you desired. 1 1/2 inches would have worked better.
Thanks for the positivity. That’s definitely the issue. Unfortunately we don’t have any real butcher options around here so I had to take what the grocery gave me.
Tell Fred the fat is flavour. Eat fat skip the carbs.
I'm trying man! One day he'll come around...
Dreo recommends steaks that are 1.5 inches minimum. Read the instructions. That steak looks to be 1 inch at best. Adjust accordingly.
We’ve already discussed this at length in the comments. Read the comments, don’t come off like as big of a tool.
Steaks are too thin. Need thicker.
Yep, we’ve covered that numerous times, including in the description.
More steaks turned to leather
