    I keep a plastic cup half full of water on my craft table. When I finish with a brush, I swish it in the water to get most of the paint, then I leave it in the cup of water until I’m finished for the day and I wash the brushes out at the sink. Really, sometimes I wash them out five days later, but keeping them in the water makes them easy to clean no matter how long you leave them. No more crusty brushes!!
    Love watching you.

    A sponge mop with the scrubbie thing on it works great for the shower. I use good old fashioned comet or spray foam cleaner and just put a layer on, let it sit for about 15 min. and scrub with the sponge mop. Works great!

    I loved the stencil hack I have no idea why I didn’t think of it. I normally put the stencil to the side to wash in the sink as soon as I’m done with the project. But today I remembered this tip and I actually enjoyed cleaning my six stencils this way I just dipped them in the pan of water so they were soaking in the water because I had so many to do at one time and it was so much quicker and actually fun! So great tip! Thanks for sharing.

    Brandi. Just watched the beginning of your video. Let me help you out a bit. Instead of a paint roller try using a window cleaning micro-fiber sponge. DONT get the one with the squeegee attached. I work for a window and pressure cleaning company (going on my 20th season in the fall). Anyways it’s much easier to move around. It’s light as a feather even wet. All we use is dawn on our windows. Never vinegar and especially not together. The sponge is good to have around to do mirrors and glass tables as well. And if your feeling freaky maybe your windows. Lol! Good luck. And as always thanks for making me laugh and for your inspiration and time. Have a great weekend!😅🤓🤔

      Yes please I too would like more information. Our most used door is divided into 16 sections of double pained glass. 2 dogs. (2 dogs should be enough explanation but if not, dog slobber, muddy paw prints, occasionally some tiny hand prints from out door rolling monster trucks and hot wheels through tempra paint …) straight dawn (blue?), what kind of cloth? Is it on a stick? Where can I get it?

    I use a dollar tree broom and a mix of Dawn , water and vinegar in spray bottle. Spray it all down. Wait 20 minutes. Go back with long as* broom and scrub walls and tub. Rinse. And wipe down your faucet 😊

  • @jen7916
    @jen7916 Рік тому +1

    I use a swifter to clean my shower (the plain ol original). I have chronic pain and serious back issues, so the mop is too heavy for me. I also can bend over too long….so I had to figure something out, tried the swiffer and it works great. I may have to kneel over the tub to wipe the ends of the tub but it beats having to do the whole thing that way 😊

    Hi Brandi. I gave up on the computer hacks for cleaning my nasty pan and resorted to good old chemical warfare. I take mine outdoors (on a still day) on to the back lawn and give them a good old spray of Easy Off oven cleaner. The pan is put on a sheet of plastic, sprayed, and after half an hour or so, hosed down (or use a bucket of cold water). Once those corrosive chemicals are hosed off, the pan can be put into the dishwasher or hand-wash to be sure the residue of the chemicals is completely gone. If you do this in the kitchen sink, be sure to wear your PPE, and kitchen gloves. If you use this method outdoors, you are a reasonably safe distance from the fumes. I don't (fortunately !) have to use this method often...about once a year .....and I go outside to use it! One round of inhaling those fumes was enough! Lesson learned!

    My honey is a mechanic and makes a HUGE mess in the shower. I swear by spraying the shower and tub with watered down dawn dish soap and some vinegar that I mix in a bottle, letting sit 5 minutes, wet a Mr Clean sponge and the dirt/grease melts off. We also have very hard well water which is a mess in itself but it cleans it perfectly.

    I put a cup of vinegar in every single load of laundry I do. Yes, I put detergent too. I put three cups in with the towels. Vinegar gets out the boy funk. Vinegar is my go to when someone does something like washing their new fancy expensive bright orange basketball underwear in with their uniform making those khaki shorts and the white t-shirt they wear under the polo and whatever else a lovely orange tie dye experiment gone wrong. Run it all through the wash again minus the orange shorts and adding a couple of cups of vinegar. Presto magico you’re back to normal. So, I don’t know who gets vinegar to bring back the color of their favorite black pants but I think they must have some presto magico they are adding to the vinegar. 😮

    I know you're probably done with the baking soda and Dawn cleaning but, after it has some soak time and scrubbed I like to pour some vinegar over it and a little more scrubbing. That seems to work a little better. Just keep in mind that the Dawn is to break down the grease, the baking soda is for the grit and the vinegar is to loosen up the concoction. I really thought this video was helpful. You are a hoot! ❤

    Only 50 seconds in and I’m like 😮 oh that’s a *LOT* of Dawn 😂
    I would mix the Dawn with water and use it with a spray bottle and a
    long handled scrub brush. Seems like that might be a little easier 🤷🏻‍♀️

    This whole, using baking soda and dawn on anything works somewhat only because when is it the greaser, and the other one acts like a scrub, but when it comes to anything that needs something powerful to remove, grease or baked on stuff oven cleaner is the sure way to get it as clean as possible. The only thing I would use because it works on everything. Backsplash is from the oven. Any type of grease or any sticky residue easy off is your only go to!!!

    Baking soda isn't abrasive enough to use on pots and pans. Best to spray those down with oven cleaner. Rinse thoroughly then wash as usual to get all the chemicals off.

    I'm terrible with my paint brushes and stencils ,I've tried Murphys oil a few times and it works like maybe partially ,but not all that great ,last year I discovered if you use hand sanitizer you can get paint out of your clothing ,it's work for the most part and I seen this pink soap(can't remember the name ) and it softens your brushes up ,but I had the an idea awhile back to use conditioner bcs it's basically the same concept I'd guess you'd say ,I buy the big bottle of regular VO5 for Dollar tree .....I never thought to use the hand sanitizer on my paint brushes though so thanks for that tip and thanks for the stencil tip ,I have used baking soda in my convention oven and got it cleaned for the most part and the regular oven ,it may work better sitting a couple hours or overnight or not at all like the sheet pan ,thanks Brandi for all your tips always !
