- All info in the video, I could understand more about the Jobsworth doing what she did if there was a train coming down platform 3, but nothing was due for about eight mins.
Trouble is when these rail tours take place there are always those who break the rules and spoil things for other enthusiasts. The station staff have a job to do. As a fellow enthusiast I have seen it on many,many occasions. There is always the idiots who think rules do not apply to them.

First up, excellent catch of 2 beautiful locos there Mike and some amazing sounds on the departure. To do with the dispatcher, I think that while yes you are meant to stand behind it personally I think that if theres no train coming then I dont really see an issue with standing over it

Presonally I think if that was a member of station staff then the situation should of been managed better by train announcements and staff on the same platform as the charter Great footage as alawya

Your video is good don’t worry. The station worker is doing her job to make sure no one is too close to the platform edge, if they are they could potentially fall onto the tracks or get hit by a train. Safety comes first.

No Colin no need to apologise as we all miss other videos when we watch so many other YT stuff from other people, I just think some station staff go way over the top when it comes to H & S.

also jobsworth woman clearly standing over the yellow line, OH THE IRONY of this clown 🤡 another reason why i rarely go to busy staffed stations these days and i stay lineside or go to an unstaffed as there's always that one clown that tries to ruin it, its clear she holds grudges against train spotters 😡

As someone who lives in Leicester I've seen the staff become less tolerant to enthusiasts since Abellio took over the EMR franchise. Not sure if it comes from above. Even the south end of the platforms are now out of bounds, However ive seen some enthusiasts who think the rules dont apply to them as well

Great catch there mate and no she didn't ruin it. She was just trying to get through to those halfwits that stand way too close to the edge of the platform. I have had to tell those to keep back when I used to work on the railway in my 20's. This was before the days of UA-cam but she didn't block your view and I think she was considerate as well. Great footage none the less and I wish all rail enthusiasts were considerate like you.

she gave a single blast on her whistle telling the train to stop but I don't think she was the despacher. As for the yellow line if no train was due why would it be an issue ?

Lovely to see the 50 & 33. Rather OTT of the platform staff. There didn’t appear to be anything coming into the platform you were standing on which makes the dispatchers actions even more unnecessary unless some people were right on the edge.

Still a great video Mike, especially the all-important departure shot! I think they are just doing their job from what it sounds like, you seemed to be well clear of the edge of the platform, so I would imagine it was aimed at people close to the edge further down the platform.

The answer is yes, her shouting interrupted the lovely sound of the 50 arriving but guess she was only doing what she was paid to do, despite how over the top we may think it may be. Neverless Mike, a great video 👍

I shouldn't go to stations to film rail tours maybe that's the answer.
@@antman09ful1 I don't think that's the answer, unfortunately when you get a railtour like this you always get some trainspotters who go infront of the line or just mess around and can ruin it for a lot of people, I like going to quiet spots for these types because I know I have a better chance of getting a good video, yours still turned out great here!
Nothing can spoil a video with my fav class 50 in it 😎🇬🇧👍🏽🎉 great bit of filming - looks like Leicester? Yes, some platform staff wet their pants when they see people near or on the yellow line 🫣😞 They seem to forget people like us have been doing this hobby before they were even born and we know how to do it safely. The the world has gone over the top with health & safety, so you will always get the jobsworths 🫣🤡🇬🇧
