That Crosshair had to lose the one thing he was best known for in order to rely on someone most close to him...by actually leaning on the shoulder of Hunter to take that shot... was absolutely beautiful writing. What a ride! They subverted AND exceeded our expectations. We expected tragedy and we, and they, got the best ending we never imagined. Omega for Rogue Squadron!
Man, yes siiirrr! Echo was brutalized in the clone wars only for the empire to turn around and do what they did to the clones. He was playing no games. The whole episode was ruthless. They all survived in the end. But it didn't have that They survived because of plot armor vibe. The ruthlessness in every fight scene me feeling like they earned it! Lol. Earlier in the season I hoped Omega would be the one to loose a limb or something. Didn't see that coming with crosshair🤯! And it happened so quickly without hesitation...😬 Dude a true kill shot... Other hand. No problem..😁 I didn't the the run time would be long enough. They nailed this just right.
Rampart's death was pretty poetic, given what he did to the Kaminoans. He was involved in enslaving the Kaminoans, stealing their technology and research, and finally destroying their cities. He had a chance at redemption, but instead tried to steal the Kaminoans research once again (as a bargaining chip), and murdered Nala Se in the process. But Nala Se got the last laugh by blowing him and the research data to smithereens.
@@LukiKrukito think, Echo started off with a team of 5 brothers to another with Clone Force 99. He's had quite a journey. Hope he's also still alive like the others - which I believe they never mentioned in that flash forward. And to think, they even kept us guessing with Tech too!
@@FVDthat’s because there’s talks of a Rex/Echo spinoff show (anything to continue milking Star Wars out of every single cent) about the Rogue Clone “Rebellion”. That’s the whole reason it showed him leaving Pabu to go with Rex (I’m assuming). 🤷🏻♂️ But considering Disney doesn’t think things through ever, the fact that Echo was already “dead” when they got Star Wars, etc, I’m assuming he’s going to die in that show since he isn’t in Rebels with Rex, Gregor, and Wolfe. 🤷🏻♂️
You’ll going to have to let that go. Tek died. Many people say that the biggest flaw in Star Wars is that death has no meaning. His death meant some and it’s good that they kept it that way
Yup. The scene with his goggles on the dash validates his sacrifice. There's no reason to cheapen that with a 'winter soldier' twist. I kept my fingers crossed that they weren't gonna do that.
To be fair, him becoming a clone assassin is basically a fate worse than death. But I know the show wouldn’t go there. Having TBB have to kill their old friend who’s essentially a robot now would be way too dark for a kids show
Hey Theory I think you may have gotten one small thing misunderstood. Wrecker was talking about Plan 99 to Crosshair, which is the plan Tech said right before he sacrificed himself. The Batch made multiple different plans for attack and plan 99 was code for sacrifice, which is what Crosshair planned on doing
None of the forces of the empire could have been Tech because of the simple fact that he knew exactly where Pabu was, if he was brainwashed enough to betray the batch he would have definitely given that location up, but we see the clone assassin using Phee’s ship to determine where Pabu is
When hunter said "she knows what to do. Wait for her, then take the shot" i feel like it really wrapped up the whole timeline of this show and shows how much omega has learned and how they are finally a complete family unit. Watching her grow from a little kid on kamino to a full on leader and war hero within a few years was just amazing
Some of you thought some of the Bad Batch members would die, (Yeah nope) some of you thought the clone assassin would be Tech (It wasn’t) and then some of you wanted Scorch to actually do something important (I actually laughed at him dying after everyone kept talking themselves into believing he mattered in any way) but me? I wanted Nala Se dead and I got that. *I WILL NEVER FORGET OR FORGIVE WHAT SHE DID TO FIVES AND TUP!*
Facts. It seems everyone including the bad batch creators just seemed to forget her blatant discrimination towards clones and saw them as property and not to mention aided in order 66
They did Scorch horrendously dirty. He is my favorite clone trooper, and look what a mockery they turned him into. I know it's silly, and I shouldn't let it get to me, but I've genuinely been annoyed at it all morning and I can't shake it. He died a retarded death and did nothing. Great job Disney, you've done it again
@@Nightwizard63It’s as silly as being pissed about Luke or anyone else’s desecration, which is to say not at all. These are the characters we love, you should be angry to see them bastardized over and over again.
They cooked. I am interested to see how they give us more information about project necromancer going forward, but they cooked so hard. I’m going to miss this show.
They could’ve cooked a little better… many things in the ending are unexplained… it’s probably ridiculous of me to expect any above-mediocre level writing in Bad Batch though
Really good story and characters. That’s one thing I did question, of the base and its data for project necro got destroyed, how are they going to explain how Palpatine was able to go ahead with the cloning in order to link it to the sequels if that’s clearly what they’re trying to do
i think the elite clones were part on an imperial version of the bad batch, if you see you have a tech like clone, a wrecker one, etc, seems that each of them fulfills a role
The point was never that Omega is force sensitive. She's special because she maintained Jango's slightly elevated M-count through the cloning process, which is unusual enough to be highly important. I love that they didn't try to make this story more important to the overall story. The shows are at their best when they are just handling their own stories.
@ghostx1145 yeah folks missed that detail. I was already thinking we would get more animated shows involving the Clones & from that line alone has me even more convinced.
I gotta admit, seeing Omega getting the chance to grow up was a nice touch and having her join the Rebel Alliance. Also liked the idea of Rampart suffering poetic justice at the hands of someone he just killed(Nala Se) as well as Hemlock getting his karmic punishment for how he treated captured clones. One thing I actually expected after seeing Hemlock get blasted was the funds that were going into his "Project Necromancer" being diverted to "Project Stardust", which is the codename for the Death Star development.
Really satisfying ending. I really thought Wrecker would die considering the amount of damage he took especially this episode. But they all survived and it’s nice that they gave us an answer to the question of what they did during the rebellion if they did survive, they retired. Simple as, they fought enough. Loved the attention of detail when it comes to the camaraderie of clone force 99. The taps on the shoulders when moving from positions, and the unspoken synchronisation of Hunter kneeling down to let Crosshair use him as a bipod to assist in the final shot
I think Hunter sensed that Omega was leaving and waited for her. I don’t think Wrecker and Crosshair are dead. 10/10 finale with a bittersweet happy ending! Thanks for the livestream!
Its really hard to do that. filoni wanted people to be emotionally evolved but they are still remenants of the past. They dont live long. I grew with the clone wars as well but its sad that these sequels got us more interested in the past rather than the future. Hopefully everyone gets their cake and eat it cause im satisfied with anything. Maybe disney will do something where they can create stories for every generation of kids that grew up on star wars.
I just want a successor series with Echo and Rex helping clones escape the empire. Im so happy they didn't kill Echo, he has been one of my favorite clones since TCW came out and i hope to see more of him.
I thought the same thing, like is he seriously mentioning a high secret project like stardust to a low ranking officer in front of a shit ton of common troopers in the midst of a disaster area and not like a secure office or something? C'mon Tarkin 😂
My sister and I Have been Star Wars fans from the inception. We went to see a New Hope in the theaters back in 1977 (we are in our 50's now). This episode about brotherhood and sisterhood was especially emotional to me because my sister is no longer able to enjoy the excitement of Star Wars with me anymore 😢.
I'm very sorry to hear that Jamal 😢 I don't have a sister, but an older brother (we are around 30). We are very different, but Star Wars is one of the things that has connected us from our childhood untill now... So I feel your comment. Thank you for sharing stranger ❤ and greetings from Germany ✌🏼
@@martind.5257 She is still alive. Butt suffers from early onset dementia. Our aunt (mother's sister) suffered the same thing before passing away. In certain ways it's worse to lose somebody like this.
@@brandonb3199 Given the time jump Omega looks like she's now in her twenties i'm going to guess we are at at least during Rebels timeline or even just pre destruction of Alderaan.
I’d say the time jump was around 15-16 years. Hunter ages twice as fast, so looks about 30 years older. Omega ages twice as slow, so looks about 8 years older.
I definitely cried watching this last episode. I loved the clones. Hearing the clone wars music for the last time was so emotional. I hope we get to see the clones again im going to miss them.
10/10. Absolutely amazing. I thought right out the gate Wrecker was going to die the way he was limping around and groaning. "I'm okay" "No you're not" I was convinced Wrecker was going to die at that point. Then when they got captured, I thought they were ALL dead. Only to be horrified when it was revealed Hemlock was trying to enforce compliance into them-- thought it was setting up for a tragic "heel" turn for our boys. Even Echo I didn't feel was at all safe from possible death and thought for sure he was going to die. But luckily that was not the case and the last Dominoe still stands, after EVERYTHING he has been through-- the Clone Wars, the experimentation on Skako Minor, and now this. Incredible. I just about cried when everyone made it out okay and was supper pleased we got a true happy ending in Star Wars-- something that doesn't happen often. Then old Hunter and grown up Omega spreading her wings to take part in the Rebellion with Tech's goggles 😢😢 my gosh the feels. It was truly a remarkable ride and a great series. It came a LONG way from those Cid side missions and turned into an absolute masterpiece. Hemlock and Rampart got what was coming to them and Tarkin having to declare Necromancer and Tantiss a loss himself was the cherry on top.
Considering the time jump of the epilogue and that Echo wasn’t mentioned with Crosshair and Wrecker he is definitely been killed by the empire by that point.
@@TheTrollingMaster-xr9el Hes probably still active with Rex. He did say he needed to go help the surviving clones settle in at Pantora. After that he's probably going to link up with Rex for the clone resistance.
@@lolmetswhathappeneduhhh2029 he would definitely be with Rex in the clone resistance but I doubt the clone resistance lasted very long and Rex, Gregor and Wolf were probably the only ones who made it out alive.
Rampart’s demise by thermal detonator from the grave was comical and great. Palpy’s cloning research destroyed restored my hope that the sequel trilogy won’t be canon
@@flamsey Tbh I kinda let SW go a long ago, and this show didn't make me come back to SW either. I loved seeing references and characters like Scorch, but I knew they are just going to butcher him, since it's not a disney character... At this point I don't give a damn about anything canon. I just don't find them interesting. This whole show as a whole was an excuse/explanation to the "Somehow Palpatine has returned" bit, which I find really funny.
@@akurvaanyadatSame here, I felt this show was solid but I ultimately didn't care about Project Necromancer because of the fact that it's connected to the bad sequals. I wish Disney just retconned the sequals into not existing and just never referenced them in any Star Wars media anymore. As much as I enjoyed watching, it felt like ultimately, all this show did was explain how Palpatine came back in the sequals because the writers of the movies were too lazy or incompetant to write a proper backstory.
I think the Order 99 stuff was actually them referencing their Plan 99, which Tech used in the finale of season 2, sacrificing himself to save his brothers. That in itself is a reference to 99 sacrificing himself in the Clone Wars.
At the end I took it as Crosshair & Recker were still alive. Omega tried to sneak off, but Hunter like he said. His senses were fading but still worked. It helps close it off, with him being like the father figure.
So for 14 years, you’ve been saying that? Disney bought Star Wars 12 years ago. So for 1 year, the only Star Wars content being made was Clone Wars. Disney took 3 years to release something (Rebels). Rebels was good, Rogue One was good, and TFA was decent. You’re just blinded by your hatred for Disney. 😂
@@DapperSapper515 nope i grew up on the prequels with parents who loved the originals people hated the prequels too but being a kid the clone wars was fun as fuck and became better as it went on i could give less of a fuck about disney buying the franchise
@@Frznwhrlpll and I wholeheartedly agree with you. I’m just saying that you saying TCW and now TBB is what’s been carrying Star Wars is wrong. TFA was decent and had potential to start something amazing until RUIN Johnson got his hands on it. Rogue One was amazing, and Rebels was great. Mando Season 1 was amazing, and season 2 was meh, but not bad. Tales of the Jedi was great, and we’ll see next week if Tales of the Empire can follow suit. It’s not as bad as you think, man.. 🤷🏻♂️
Omega’s character development is very reminiscent of Ahsoka’s throughout the clonewars. Almost to the point of seeming recycled but I’m not complaining because it works for both of them.
It’s about 10 years forward in the timeline when we see Omega as an adult. I think it was just Hunter because he had the deepest connection to her. He calls her THEIR DAUGHTER; it was poetic. Plan 99 isn’t Order 99. Plan 99 is self sacrifice and Tech mentioned it before he died in Season 2. I LOVED his death and didn’t want them to bring him back. Some sacrifices are meant to stay as such - like Anakin’s sacrifice for his son, Luke. And some are not, like for me Ben Solo should be returned. But Tech was one I wanted to stay as a sacrifice. My favorite character development of the entire series was Crosshair! Seconded by Omega. She went from a shy reserved kid to this amazingly capable young lady! Both of these were 10/10 for me. The entire show gets a 8.5/10 and the series finale gets a 10/10 for me. We want this team to continue on and bring us an Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos series AND a Rex, Echo, Wolffe series. And I want that Asajj/Quin series to lead us into a LIVE-ACTION Cal Kestis and Merrin series or movie. Cameron Monaghan and Tina Ivlev were MEANT to be in live action from the creation of those characters. We purposely casted ACTORS that did live action for a reason. Cameron had NEVER done video games or perfcap/mocap before his role as Cal. And while Tina has voiced a character in a game before she had never done perfcap/mocap either before her role as Merrin. She’s strictly been a live-action actress. So there is purpose behind their casting! So I’m pretty excited for the future of Star Wars animation!!! They’re killing it!!!
They need to go in a different direction than connecting everything to the Sequel Tragedy. If all roads lead to Jake Skywanker and Princess Poppins, what’s the point? Exegol and 10k Death Star Destroyers makes zero sense. I hope they show Omega as part of the Rebel Alliance with the rest of the Batch getting at least one more mission (she already knows Hera and Chopper), eventually leading to her and Boba Fett meeting. Then bring her into live action on The Book of Boba Fett (that show desperately needs better writers though) as basically a mercenary that does good deeds (I can’t imagine Omega being bad) and gets roped into the fight against the Imperial Remnant.
@@williamflowers9435 The expectation that they will not lead into THEIR TRILOGY is absolutely absurd. Of course they will! Whether you like it or not. And millions of people loved those movies. Just as many that hated them, sure. But cannot discount the other half. I’ve always said in business if it’s 50/50 or close to it, you steady on. And that’s what they’ve done. I’d even say it’s MORE than 50% that liked them because they are continuing with Rey in a new movie. They always work off raw data and that data which is NEVER published has led them to believe a Rey movie would do decently enough to make them money. And before people come at me about merch sales… OLDER fans (OT/PT folks) are more prone to buy merchandise while YOUNGER fans (ST folks) lean more toward digital apps and games. So you cannot go by just merch sales. Just look at how much money Galaxy of Heroes makes them every single month. It’s NUTS. I mean the video games clock in with HUGE profits! Even when they have absolutely shitty launches like BF2 in 2017. BF1 sales in 2015 are still to this day record breaking numbers. And a sleeper that NO ONE talks about is their Card Trading game, by Topps. HUGE profits! I know people don’t want to believe me but I swear to you it’s more 50/50 than people think and I’ve been saying this for years now. And despite what people may think of me. I am NOT a sequel lover. I actually liked 7 years he lost but 8 and 9 were atrocious to me. The difference is I am not delusional to think they’re somehow going to erase all of that content. I always hope the best for Star Wars regardless of who owns it, probably for the rest of my life. And in that me and Nia think the same. We’re gonna judge the content that comes to us. If it’s good, we say so… if it’s not, we also say so. We’re not living in La La land no matter how much we might want George back (who is pretty sick with his diabetes type 1 and that’s the whole reason he sold it in the first place)!
Finale really hit me in the feels for sure, I was on the edge of my seat especially concerned for Crosshair, I was so sure he’d die and he’s been my fav since day one. They really pulled the biggest surprise on me and had them all survive. I’m happy they get to ride off into the sunset even if we probably won’t see them all the same. What a ride it was though. This season really gripped me especially so it’ll be weird to carry on…
I think it was a good thing that Dave Filoni chose not to kill off any of our favorite characters in the finale and instead have a happy/hopeful ending which was great even if I was still worried if any members of the Bad Batch would die. 10/10 George always said that you don’t have to kill off your characters in order to make the show or movie feel more powerful. Which in turn can alienate the audience. I thought this was a fantastic conclusion to an amazing series…I was on the edge of my seat the whole time 10/10. But I’m still questioning if Commander Scorch is really dead and if he survived getting shot? And where’s the rest of Delta Squad during this time period? As well as wondering if the Zillo Beast clone got recaptured? I want to know more…we need more Star Wars animated shows like this after “Tales of the Empire.” I especially want to know more about what Echo, Rex and the other clones are going to do and possibly try to recruit Commander Wolffe before we see him, Rex, and Gregor in the timeline in Rebels. Anyone else just as curious?!
I miss tech. Best character ever. People underestimate his fighting ability. How deadly he was with his duel pistols. Sucks he's really dead. Loved this show. Crossair was probably my favorite character arc. I hope we see them all again. Wrecker really came through in the last episode. Hunter didn't do to much
I really enjoyed season 3, but the show did lack something without Tech. To me, the BB is strongest in 1 and 2 because it had the entire cast of characters, and the show needed every one of them.
Haha yeah. I think Theory is just swamped lately with the sabre store and all. Gotta cut him a bit of slack sometimes. He's travelling and doing interviews and running a business etc etc. We knew what he meant.
This show has come out during a busy part of my life, it started 3 years ago, and in those 3 years a lot has changed in my life, after the final episode today, I felt inspired. Watching omega mature and grow while I was maturing and growing at the same time has made me care deeply for omega, I hope to see her again. Ashoka is my favorite character, but omega is my second favorite purely because of how she paralleled my life these last 3 years. Seeing her go do her own thing at the end of this show has given me hope for my future. This is why I love Star Wars.
Not just Son of Dathomir. Crystal Crisis on Utapau, Dark Disciple, Bounty Hunters, Kashyyyk, Sith Shrine, Rex & R2 Top Gun, Yuuzhan Vong, and Return to Mon Cala. They need to finish the last 40 episodes of The Clone Wars!
In the end, Hunter was talking about his reflexes even in his old age are still “good enough” to catch Omega sneaking off/leaving Pabbu without the batch even noticing. That’s why I think he was the only one there, along with Badger
Palpatine's vault is not seen or destroyed in the finale... the vault that we see in this episode was different… it is possible that his clones or the necromancer project is still in those facilities in Mount Tantiss... even if they have closed it.
I don’t think the ending scene is a time jump 20 years in the future, just because of the fact that would mean Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair would be 60s-70s in accelerated aging for clones, and Hunter looked WAY too young for a senior citizen lol.
Yes, he’d be full white hair if this was just before a New Hope. I would think this is Omega around 20. Maybe she’ll show up in Andor Season 2. I feel like Echo is probably part of the Rebellion & she’d be joining whatever cell he is a part of.
Looking at Omega, I'd say it's about 10-12 years in the future when the rebellion was officially organized. Maybe Omega was contacted by her friend, Hera.
That Rogue 1 list also mentions project Mark Omega, hopefully future series explore this idea. Also if I remember correctly, plan 99 in the context of the Bad Batch refers to the self sacrifice of one member to save the rest. I believe Tech invoked this same plan immediately prior to his death, and this is what Crosshair was proposing to do. He was prepared to face an entire base of advanced troops all alone so that Hunter and Wrecker could get a com out.
I’m just glad they kept tech dead. I would’ve liked one member passing away but crosshair losing his shooting hand, then making a difficult shot with his other hand soon after was great
Echo surviving the fight (and putting up a fight) with the clone assassins was beautiful, the 501st were really the best of the best. Just like Anakin and Rex had led them to be🥲
Honestly, the good ending was very unexpected but felt so great. I'm actually glad no one died, even when it was very much expected. Also, seeing tarkin's ISD next to those venators really marked the end of an era. I think we'll probably get an announcement on may 4th for a new animated series.
This episode had me in my feelings. The animation, beautiful! The story, amazing! The writing, Magnificent! Man, I wish all of these projects had this much care put into them.
It's good to see they didn't lead omega down that path of rey sue , as a ex AAF service man and grow up with the clone wars ... It was a great ending Ich grüße Force 99 und diejenigen, die aus den Klonkriegen und hier in die schlechte Charge gefallen sind...😔 Tech Dr.hemlock Rampant ...
Second half of this season was alright but the finale was awesome. Great show, excited to see what they do moving forward and would love to continue to see Omega’s story
Wish I stayed up late for it. Definitely worth it. So glad for the episode length as well. Love what the writers pulled off here. Bittersweet that the series is over but I’m excited for what may come with the return of our girl, Omega, and possibly seeing Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair again. There’s so much I could say but I wanted to keep it short and sweet. I didn’t really like Omega at first and for a bit (like Ashoka) but her character was consistent and she really grew on me. I truly admired her bravery at the end in saving those kids, going back for her brothers and completing the mission. Seeing Grand Moff Tarkin at the end and shutting it down was awesome. This was so SW and I’m here for it.
This show has been my escape since it aired, it's been with me through some crazy changes in my life. I moved from my home, started pharmacy school through the first season and even had exam questions based on the bad batch crew which was crazy lol (Which of these structures has X and Y properties: A.Structure Hunter B. Structure wrecker...ect hahaha) My pharm chemistry professor was a huge Star Wars fan, man what a ride it has been. Gonna miss them!
From what I gathered through the season, Omega (and her DNA) is essentially the glue that holds the combination of palpatine’s dna and the dna of the other force sensitive person together. Without omega’s dna, the experiments would either fail right away or not last long and fail anyway.
Boba is most likely the same, and he's a bounty hunter for palps and vader. He likely pays him enough, and he will let you take as much blood as u need.
I thought someone should’ve probably died but tried not to let that sway my opinion of it too much. Glad that Tech was actually dead. Overall it was a very good episode and I loved the scene when they killed Hemlock
Honestly when we saw Wreckers injuries and then the elite assassins showed up, I thought he is at 100% going to die. And honestly I like that he survived because it was unexpecatble and they perfectly built fear of losing our favourite characters. Actually there was no build up for anyones death like for Tech in season 2 so it wouldn't feel so good. On the other side, Crosshairs hand got perfect build up for losing it and him shooting that perfect hit at the and with his non-shooting hand was just beautiful.
6:08 We also get mention of project Stardust at the second before last episode of Bad Batch season 2. When the high ranking Imperials are meeting together. Director Krennic was there in that meeting.
Tarkin shutting down Project Necromancer was a huge middle finger to the sequels IMO. I had fears they'd use this season to attempt to explain Palp's return in the sequels.
we don't need nor do I want an explanation, Dark Science, Cloning, secrets only the sith knew. that's how he somehow returned being exploded in a reactor, exploded in a death star explosion, and burnt up on atmosphere re-entry. It's already explained in that brilliant movie
Loved The Show At The End Of The Day, this episode especially was standing out to me. Seeing the Zillo in action slaughtering TK Troopers, watching the Batch reunite and escape, the intense action and heart dropping moments. Even cool details of progression like seeing Tarkin arrive in the First Imperial I Star Destroyer, and watching Omega and Hunter age at the end. It’s truly all mashed into an amazing season finale. I can’t wait for the next adventure that Star Wars brings us*^ 💫
His channel is called SW Theory for a reason man. Its fun to theorize. It doesn't have to come to fruition. Sometimes its nice just to have fun with your own imagination.
Crazy how a fan like him can sometimes just be so unaware of what’s what. Last night, when it showed pabu, he straight up thought they were on tantiss again. And the whole obsession with it being tech? Like wtf
@@EJK1399 I love Theory, but you have a handful of his outlandish “theories” in this one thread alone. - Omega riding the Zillow Beast - Vader killing the entire Bad Batch at the end of season 1 - Tech being the assassin just because of how the helmet looks and the word “domicile” - Omega using the force at some point and even possibly getting a lightsaber - Kanan coming in at some point, etc His “theories” are just so out of pocket nowadays… 🤷🏻♂️
What was so refreshing is just to have a show where it’s a not only well written, but the male characters are well respected and competent, Like Wrecker, Hunter and Crosshair got there moments to shine as well as omega. Omega was a likeable lead, she loved her brothers and wasn’t some girlboss annoying character, and I’m so glad they didn’t make her do some random force power like Sabine and gain this massive op level in 5 seconds. Bad batch isn’t a perfect show but is miles better what I would expect Star Wars to emulate going forward.
Overall Series Rating - 9/10 If there was no filler, it would be a 10/10 So happy we got this story. Clone Wars animation is something truly special and it really is the best form of Star Wars storytelling. Can't wait for what's next!!!
Plan 99 isn’t switching sides, it’s self sacrifice. Honoring Clone 99 when he died at the battle of Kamino sacrificing himself to get more ammo. ( Season 3, Episode 2: "ARC Troopers")
The shot of the first look at the imperial star destroyer accompanied by two venator star cruisers out of hyperspace was the best shot in the entire series in my opinion
@StarWarsTheory thank you for continuing your journey with us. I literally look for your videos every day looking for new content. Keep it xoming boss! (If you're ever filming in Toronto, I'd love to be an extra in one of your fan films lol)
These characters definitely grew on me. Crosshair was the one that I personally got the most emotionally invested in, and imo he carried the whole show. As a diehard Anakin fan, his redemption arc was so perfectly done in my eyes. I was repeatedly blown away by the animation in this show, but I'm still very disappointed in the amount of filler we got from start to finish. I think I had higher expectations overall and assumed that we would get answers on project necromancer, or see some kind of full blown clone rebellion. I think that ending it on a positive note where the clones can decide their path forward was a nice touch however. Would be really cool to see another series where Omega teams up with notable Rebels characters, but I also like the idea of leaving that part of Omega's story to the audience's imaginations. So excited for more animated projects.
As much as I’m happy everyone lived, I’m still confused on certain things. For example, what was the purpose of Crosshair losing his hand? I also would’ve personally preferred a darker end for example that Crosshair has to sacrifice himself to complete his redemption.
The assassin still knows their previous encounter and know Crosshair could not make the shots with his shooting hand. So cut it off made. Crosshair use his other hand which going full circle due to the missed tracker shot on Pabu.
7:49 I’ll take it upon myself to out geek for a moment. It’s not order 99, it’s plan 99 which is one of the bad batch tactics where a squad member sacrifices themselves. Tech executed plan 99 (and it was mentioned by Wrecker I think) by shooting the grapple he was hanging on to.
great episode but I couldn't help but feel they missed the most perfect opportunity to introduce starkiller. Imagine instead of releasing the condition clones (who we never even found out the identity of or back story) dr hemlock released starkiller on the bad batch. A clone of pelpitine going absolutely ape shit on the bad batch and the empire. Having no idea what he is or what faction he's part of, just in a fit of rage destroying absolutely everything in site. The size of mount tantise leads me to believe there was far more experiments going on there then what we seen. Man what could have been.
They did Scorch so dirty... A real shame that his character was even featured just to be taken out like that. Also, I think the finale would've had a bigger emotional impact with someone dying, like Wrecker... At least in my opinion. It felt like the team was forced to rush the end of this series a bit... Too much wasted time in previous seasons on filler, but I just expected more to happen... A realized clone rebellion should've been more apparent... Also, Cody or someone more prevalent should've been the clone assassin... Wouldve had way more impact, especially if he and Crosshair had a moment. The show had it's moments, but ultimately got caught up too much in trying to retcon the sequels to fix their horrendous writing mistakes... Basically what this show boiled down to, but it did have its moments. I want more clone stories and what happened to the bulk of them post clone wars.
They 100% underutilized Scorch, but I’m glad the clone assassin wasn’t Cody and I don’t think that’s a fair critique. The clone assassins are not supposed to be important characters. They are tools for a mean, and blank, loyal slates. They are supposed to be a contradiction to the clones we have witnessed: identical beings that learn and grow to become individuals with free will. I mean even their color schemes are opposites, and the elite squad we see exclusively in the finale seem to be dark reflections of the batch themselves. I honestly think the assassin being anyone of note would have either been too predictable or takes away from the greater story
100% agree. Whilst the show improved with every season - it did feel a little unplanned. Fans were expecting the show to build on the greater star wars picture with a clone rebellion or smth of the sorts. But what the show only really made apparent by season 2 & 3 was that it was about family through hardships than the galaxy at wide. I like that, but developing the galaxy in a wider way with a clone rebellion, fan favourite Cody being CX-2 etc. would have made the show more gripping. The show defo made a lot of mistakes in season 1 by having an annoying Omega and wasteful Cid missions.
@@Henry-iz7iv Just on the sole fact that he survives the waterfall encounter with Crosshair... That fight seemed a little more personal given the lines from clone x... He survives only to come back and get impaled... I mean it's almost like he should've just stayed dead at the waterfall encounter if he was truly no one significant. I understand the purpose of these clones but they're kind of just thrown in and no real impact is given... The showdown at the end just felt rushed imo but I understand your take.

Yea I think it was a great ending. Didn’t make me feel as strong as I did at the end of clone wars did. But I feel that the further kathleen Kennedy is from shows like I feel was the case was here the better!
Beautiful finale, crazy how good the writing is in the animated series yet the live action falls so short. Hope we see an old Crosshair and Wrecker sometime, hope Crosshair got a hand back too
Theory claims to crave great writing and character development in live action, yet when we GET that in spades (Andor), he claims it's "boring". I love him and his passion for Star Wars...but LORD he really frustrates me sometimes!
I think that since the attack on Pabu, we see how Omega has learned to lose the battle in order to win the war. In the first two seasons, she ended up putting the boys in danger with her ignorant optimism.
Plan 99 isn’t switching sides, it’s self sacrifice. It’s what Tech said right before he died.
Honoring Clone 99, it annoys me he forgot this during his recording but probably was because of emotions of the finale
@@wolfrex7567 eh all good, Theory is still the man

Indeed, I was just going to add this and what Wolfrex said as well, also he is on the road and probably busy too, so there is that
@@sango4947 I was going to say that. Plan 99 is what Tech did in BB Season 2 Finale and the Clone 99 (from the Clone Wars) did as well.
That Crosshair had to lose the one thing he was best known for in order to rely on someone most close to him...by actually leaning on the shoulder of Hunter to take that shot... was absolutely beautiful writing.

Can we talk about how ruthless Echo was? He was absolutely gunning down imperials. Some with multiple shots and no second thoughts.
Finally
Man, yes siiirrr!
Echo was brutalized in the clone wars only for the empire to turn around and do what they did to the clones.
He was playing no games.
The whole episode was ruthless.
They all survived in the end. But it didn't have that
They survived because of plot armor vibe.
The ruthlessness in every fight scene me feeling like they earned it!
Lol.
Earlier in the season I hoped Omega would be the one to loose a limb or something.
Didn't see that coming with crosshair🤯!
And it happened so quickly without hesitation...😬

They nailed this just right.
Yeah the only time I remember him using stun was in front of the kids. What a class act Echo is 😅
Rampart's death was pretty poetic, given what he did to the Kaminoans.
I knew Nala Se was gonna die and I’m glad she went out like she did. It was actually pretty bad ass.

But considering Disney doesn’t think things through ever, the fact that Echo was already “dead” when they got Star Wars, etc, I’m assuming he’s going to die in that show since he isn’t in Rebels with Rex, Gregor, and Wolfe. 🤷🏻♂️
He like Pryce Died Loyal to the empire
And Nala se died for her loyalty for Kamino, sorta reminfing me how Elsbeth went out Loyal to Dathomir
That was a ballsy move and we should respect his sacrifice.
Agreed. Though seeing him as the assassin would’ve been cool, you have to admit.
Couldn’t agree more, I love when things actually have stakes and consequence, as Yoda once said “Death is a natural part of life”
To be fair, him becoming a clone assassin is basically a fate worse than death. But I know the show wouldn’t go there. Having TBB have to kill their old friend who’s essentially a robot now would be way too dark for a kids show
Crosshair wasnt going to do order 99, it was plan 99, which tech already did once. It's the self sacrifice for the mission.
Thank you for this.
Plan 99 is sacrifice. Did you forget season 2's finale?
"There's no time, Wrecker. Plan 99."
“Yes sir, executing order 69”
he mentioned that but it wasnt in this video.
"When have we ever followed orders?"
Yep named after 99’s sacrifice for his brothers
yeah, I'm not saying theory wasn't invested in the show buuuutttt..
None of the forces of the empire could have been Tech because of the simple fact that he knew exactly where Pabu was, if he was brainwashed enough to betray the batch he would have definitely given that location up, but we see the clone assassin using Phee’s ship to determine where Pabu is

The point was never that Omega is force sensitive. She's special because she maintained Jango's slightly elevated M-count through the cloning process, which is unusual enough to be highly important. I love that they didn't try to make this story more important to the overall story. The shows are at their best when they are just handling their own stories.
She was special because her dna could be used as a binder to replicate m count not because it had an elevated m count

It felt like we watched the clones fight their last battle. It was sort of a final goodbye to the clone wars era.
I felt the same! Made me tear up honestly.
Swear, literally said end of an era
Really satisfying ending. I really thought Wrecker would die considering the amount of damage he took especially this episode. But they all survived and it’s nice that they gave us an answer to the question of what they did during the rebellion if they did survive, they retired. Simple as, they fought enough. Loved the attention of detail when it comes to the camaraderie of clone force 99. The taps on the shoulders when moving from positions, and the unspoken synchronisation of Hunter kneeling down to let Crosshair use him as a bipod to assist in the final shot

Incredible.

In the end, Hunter was talking about his reflexes even in his old age are still “good enough” to catch Omega sneaking off/leaving Pabbu without the batch even noticing. That’s why I think he was the only one there, along with Badger
I love the 4D effects of the rain, where there was suddenly rain as I was watching.
I was very glad it turned out that omega didn’t have the force. It would just make more conflict that we don’t need, like we got from Rey and Sabine.
i agree
@@KforFreedom I hope we get Omega in Boba Fett 2
They didn’t even explain how Rex Wolfe and Gregor ended up on seelos.
Probably another show.
It's not their story
And Scorch is dead... but I guess it's whatever. We only see him like once in TCW and he has no speaking lines
@@flamsey according to wiki he survived the fall but I agree that mofo be dead considering how much got shot.
And that just myrdered scorch for fun 😂
You know all those ”filler” episodes everyone finds ”boring”?
Its why we care so much for them in the end.
Just like Anakin and Rex had led them to be🥲
The ending made me cry because ya boi been here since season 1 my favourite characters since episode 1-3
It wasn't Tech man, give it up.
We know, calm down
Honestly, the good ending was very unexpected but felt so great.
I'm actually glad no one died, even when it was very much expected.
Also, seeing tarkin's ISD next to those venators really marked the end of an era.
I think we'll probably get an announcement on may 4th for a new animated series.
The Only thing I could Critique was Scorch's "Death"
This episode had me in my feelings. The animation, beautiful! The story, amazing! The writing, Magnificent! Man, I wish all of these projects had this much care put into them.
It's good to see they didn't lead omega down that path of rey sue , as a ex AAF service man and grow up with the clone wars ... It was a great ending
Ich grüße Force 99 und diejenigen, die aus den Klonkriegen und hier in die schlechte Charge gefallen sind...😔

I love how it ended with there being rain like in Kamino.
that is what i thought as well
Plan 99- self sacrifice for the objective. Has to be a reference to actions of Clone 99 during the Kamino invasion
Did you notice that the star destroyer that tarkin arrived on wasn't a grey venator, it was an imperial star destroyer
More clone story's for sure. Rex, Cody, tech, echo, etc. I hope the clone story's are not over😢
Nala Se went out like a badass and took out slimy Rampart along with her. I loved that scene.
I really thought Wrecker was a goner.
Yeah I loved how they blasted the $hit out of Hemlock. I'm also glad they didn't run with the 'star wars' winter soldier theory (regarding Tech).
Scorch died 😢
Honestly when we saw Wreckers injuries and then the elite assassins showed up, I thought he is at 100% going to die. And honestly I like that he survived because it was unexpecatble and they perfectly built fear of losing our favourite characters. Actually there was no build up for anyones death like for Tech in season 2 so it wouldn't feel so good. On the other side, Crosshairs hand got perfect build up for losing it and him shooting that perfect hit at the and with his non-shooting hand was just beautiful.

We also get mention of project Stardust at the second before last episode of Bad Batch season 2.
I can’t wait for the next adventure that Star Wars brings us*^ 💫
This is why I always take Theory’s predictions with a grain of salt. He always has the most outlandish predictions and he never hits home
Like wtf
Throwback to when he predicted the entire Bad Batch would die to Vader at the end of season one lmfao
@@EJK1399 he thought Omega would ride the zilo beast wdym 😭
@@EJK1399 I love Theory, but you have a handful of his outlandish “theories” in this one thread alone.
- Omega riding the Zillow Beast
- Vader killing the entire Bad Batch at the end of season 1
- Tech being the assassin just because of how the helmet looks and the word “domicile”
- Omega using the force at some point and even possibly getting a lightsaber
- Kanan coming in at some point, etc
His “theories” are just so out of pocket nowadays… 🤷🏻♂️
What was so refreshing is just to have a show where it’s a not only well written, but the male characters are well respected and competent, Like Wrecker, Hunter and Crosshair got there moments to shine as well as omega. Omega was a likeable lead, she loved her brothers and wasn’t some girlboss annoying character, and I’m so glad they didn’t make her do some random force power like Sabine and gain this massive op level in 5 seconds. Bad batch isn’t a perfect show but is miles better what I would expect Star Wars to emulate going forward.
Overall Series Rating - 9/10
If there was no filler, it would be a 10/10
So happy we got this story. Clone Wars animation is something truly special and it really is the best form of Star Wars storytelling. Can't wait for what's next!!!
"Clone Force 99 died with Tech." that has to be one of the most coldest lines that I've heard
It wasn't tech. Tech is dead. We need to accept this we was never coming back and I'm glad his sacrifice was powerful and shouldn't be undone.
Plan 99 isn’t switching sides, it’s self sacrifice. Honoring Clone 99 when he died at the battle of Kamino sacrificing himself to get more ammo. ( Season 3, Episode 2: "ARC Troopers")
5:48 I think the assassin clones are clones of the Bad Batch but they might be a bit better than the original Bad Batch.
They were just normal clones you can see some of them without helmets during the fight
All for shock effect apparently
It's so he has to rely on Hunter's shoulder to make the most important shot of his life.
It was his shooting hand.
The assassin still knows their previous encounter and know Crosshair could not make the shots with his shooting hand. So cut it off made. Crosshair use his other hand which going full circle due to the missed tracker shot on Pabu.
Not enough praise is given to the immaculate cinematography and impeccable, often to be mistaken with real life visuals. This is peak animation.
Tbh is probably the best season of the bad batch.
This really was a fantastic finale
Not really pal
@@patricksavan7530Good for you, not everyone cares
great episode but I couldn't help but feel they missed the most perfect opportunity to introduce starkiller. Imagine instead of releasing
the condition clones (who we never even found out the identity of or back story) dr hemlock released starkiller on the bad batch.
Demanding fanservice = good story
Starkiller?? Are you serious 💀
They should've introduced Kylo! What a missed opportunity!
The only downside were not enough Zillobeast and Scorch’s death
The show defo made a lot of mistakes in season 1 by having an annoying Omega and wasteful Cid missions.
i'm mad about what they did to scorch. the fact they killed him off like that infuriates me
@@Henry-iz7iv Just on the sole fact that he survives the waterfall encounter with Crosshair...
@@goldenretrieversarethebest8119 same man... Same. Head canon... Still aliveee 😂 yeah not likely but yeah he definitely could've went out better than that! Graze or pelt Hunter just once enough for him to make it look like he falls off the railing but then Scorch dies right after... Something like that... Anything like that really because it's better than what we got. He was useless in the end... Just another key jangle.
I like how the season finale was released on May 1st. And May first is 501. 501st: the clone batallion.
Thanks so much bro! Enjoyed watching the breakdowns dude❤❤
thank you theory for always giving me something to look forward to, and a community that we all feel welcome in. These passed few seasons were great and am so glad we could watch them together. May the force be with you, always.
Two words: fanboy syndrome
I think that since the attack on Pabu, we see how Omega has learned to lose the battle in order to win the war. In the first two seasons, she ended up putting the boys in danger with her ignorant optimism.
