    _YES!!!_ I really enjoyed this, Hasan. I really like Kenny, he reminds me of an old buddy or two from years ago, and you did a great job assisting him. I love your edit and grading of his footage. I'd love to see some more of him shooting with the BMPCC in the future, and I hope he finds a great deal on one. I know MPB and Adorama have many great deals on used cameras, even BMPCCs at times. I'm going out this weekend to shoot with my OG, with two new lenses. Please extend a warm Hello from me to our buddy, Kenny, there. I luv you guys. Thanks for this fun video, brother!!

    What is so cool about this camera, it's name is very on point about it's nature. It is a "pocket" camera.

    Great concept for a video. Don't forget to get an IR filter to go with the ND, even under artificial light.

    Just watched this. Great video for nubies thinking about using the original bmpcc. Not sure if Kenny ever got to purchase a BMPCC. In case he didn't I have one for sale that is practically brand new. If you or him are interested in purchasing one, let me know. Great video. You have a new subscriber.

    I can’t believe how much they are selling for. I have one fully rigged with tilta cage, tilta follow focus and tilta mattebox and a set of rokinon cine lenses, with tilta vmount battery plate, with a metabones speed buster. Wonder how much I can get for that.

    Wait! How did he get an hour out of it? I have a handful of internal batteries and they all last at most around 25 minutes.

      He was filming on Prores Lt and the screen brightness was at 20 or 30 percent. The battery lasted more like 50 minutes.

    Cool video format.
    Btw, have you tried the k&f NDs? And how would they compare to JJC?
    Also do you happen to know the filter size for ttartisan 35mm and fujian 50mm?

    • @HQFHasanQureshiFilms
      @HQFHasanQureshiFilms  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you! I haven't used K&F, but I know people that use it for photography. I've heard good things about them, but they also cost a little more(where I live, don't know about other places). It's hard to compare without using it.
      I still don't know the filter size for Fujian, but since last time I found a DYI method which works if the camera is on tripod. I attached the ND filter to the adapter for a smaller lens and slide it on to the fujian. It works fine if the camera is going to be stable.

    Much of the movie making I've seen with the pocket Cinema Camera seems extremely slow with very mellow and slow camera moves.. is this due to extreme rolling shutter? What if someone wanted to use this camera to make more of an action film with a little bit more whipped pans as people run past the camera and maybe a chase scene on foot, etc? Would you recommend someone totally avoid this camera, if they wanted to film a fast-moving action oriented short film? I love the look of this camera it really does feel like a more cinematic feel than almost anything else out there, but it doesn't match the movie I want to make if all shots have to be that slow

    • @HQFHasanQureshiFilms
      @HQFHasanQureshiFilms  Рік тому

      Rolling shutter is an issue with this camera and I wouldn't recommend whip pans. For action & chase shots you can use a gimble with a stabilized lens and pull it off, but I'd suggest to test and plan the movements. I have used it for that purpose, but I had a multi camera setup which didn't require much camera movement. You can consider the 4K or 6K version of this camera. Rolling shutter remains an issue and it would be with most budget modern camera, but not as bad as the old ones.

    Loved the video, very educative and beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Just got an used one, and I don,t know much about how to use it... olympus user before, (almost perfect IBIS and autofocus), but only 8 bit 4 2 0 4k. Now things are getting more real, love the choice of the lens 12 32 with Mega OIS. Would like to know what format is used for exporting for UA-cam prores 422 from source for example. H 264, high bit rate as usual for 4k 8 bit video, or other formats??

    • @HQFHasanQureshiFilms
      @HQFHasanQureshiFilms  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. I personally use H264 for YT because of the compression and to keep the file size small. As far as tech side of YT goes I don't know what other formats would work besides Prores 422 HQ because my film trailers are all that format. I have seen the difference with my film trailers on the streaming platforms vs YT and the quality here is not as good.
      You're definitely going to miss IBIS, but overall it's a great camera and would also be a good companion with Olympus.

      You probably need to put on a ND filter when filming in day light. What ISO are you filming on? If 800 then definitely ND or close the aperture more.

    I noticed you’re not using a rig or tripod. For some reason when I do it, I get these micro jitters. Did you feel like you had those jitters?

    • @HQFHasanQureshiFilms
      @HQFHasanQureshiFilms  Рік тому +1

      For this video Kenny decided to go handheld and in post there were micro jitters. I stabilized some shots in post, but they're still there. With most manual or not stabilized lenses you will get them with this camera. If you use Panasonics O.I.S Mft lenses you will get less jitters and it's easier to go handheld.

    a few questions in need of help.. I want to start making money on videography in poetic mood
    is this camera possible to work with professional or am I better off going with he p4K camera?
    when it comes to focus, I see 99% of the videos on UA-cam by the original camera is never in focus.. is a blurry but dreamy and beautiful look
    BUrt, can one get this camera focus to work very clearly, like a portrait to see eyes, expressions etc.?
    I cannot find any videos showing clear focus?
    and if we we an external screen on top of the built in screen is it possible to still use the built in screen for the meny at the same time as we check everything I the external screen?
    pease advice. have found a seller both of the original and the p4k now..
    already got 4/3 lenses from my gh3..
    but need advice so that I can actually work professionally and trust it working out for me..
    kind regards from Sweden!

      This is a great camera, but it isn't the best camera for run & gun and it requires a little rigging up. You will find a lot of videos on my channel about this camera and the looks.
      As far as focus goes, you will have to manually focus for best results. It can capture very sharp raw images , but knowledge of grading is a must. You can also attach a monitor if you want, it will definitely help because the screen on the camera is too small.
      In my opinion, if you want to use your camera to make money and get some video jobs, having a mirrorless Lumix camera (GH5 or GH6) would be better simply because of the battery life and more video recording options since you already have M43 lenses. The 4k is great too, but again it would require a little bit of rigging up and a battery solution(unless you want to carry a lot of batteries).
